Vintage vs. Reissue: Citizen Bullheads!

- Comparing and contrasting the vintage Citizen 8110 with the more modern AV0080 and AN3660.
The Tsuno ("horn") Racer here is the super titanium AV0080-88A.
The two modern reincarnations I have are the AN3660-81A and AN3661-62E.

Note that since then, the bullhead has had a number of Star Wars themed variants made. You can see those on the Citizen Japan site.

Got one last week. It as alot of mixed reviews BUT........ honstly it fits my smaller wrist like a glove. I like it so much Im selling off my Brew Metric. It is not too small, perfect size for me.

The first one you showed has the day/date in Japanese Kanji, which is so cool! Wednesday the 18 is displayed. I live in Japan and speak/read/write Japanese, so I really dig it too!

I have seen a larger 40 mm version there are the quartz like yours but a eco drive version too. Then there are the character versions from Star Wars mostly in 38 mm quartz.
The wife from my watchmaker-friend said always to the vintage Teufelchen , that means small devil in a cute way or imp .

Hello thanks for your info. I'm curious. I've got a bullhead m58 japan movement chronograph I think. It doesn't have citizen on it anywhere an it only has one button. On the right. I can't find any info on it. It works. Can you point me in the right direction. Trying to find price an sell. Thanks

I actually have that watch and it's amazing. The Citizen Signature series was something special.
I believe they call it the Mickey Mouse because of the 3 black chrono dials arranged in that shape. The Japanese call this configuration Mickey Mouse, whereas the Panda nickname is solely reserved for watches that have a white-ish dial with two black chrono dials side by side.

Do you know how much it cost to service a Citizen Bullhead? I just recently purchase a vintage one.
I have yet to send mine in. I'm sure it's much more than I'd like to spend.
Automatic Chrono service are going to run $600-$800 give or take.

@@Roudaki677I cant give recommendations, I haven't done mine yet. But Citizen has an authorized Service partner Hurley Roberts that I used for a full service on a quartz Hyper Aqualand and they did a great job. I was going to reach out to them first.
