I had a 2004 Audi A4 Avant TDi Sport with Gmbh bodykit, great spec, apart from keep fit rear windows. must have been a German thing in the 2000s. Cheap car though, has potential for a good few hundred £ profit. Merry Xmas and many more vehicles in the new year.
That's an amazing price alright, but flood damage is insidious... moisture in places it shouldn't be will continue to do its dirty work, and those electronics, and electrics as well will probably, eventually go to hell. We have had a lot of flood damage here in the US, especially from hurricanes, and generally speaking, what we've learned is that cars that have been underwater are JUNK (or parts cars).
It's hard to know what kind of water damage was involved here, the delivery driver did tell me it was a simple case of the windows being left open during a strom, hence the seats being so nasty. and there were no signs of electrical Gremlins so hopefully it will be good for a while yet. But I really appreciate the comments :)
I bought an e87 116i and was so surprised there wasnt a cupholder. I just got changed the centre console for one with an armrest and cupholders from the 120
The whole interior should be stripped out. Under the carpet will be wet and possibly contaminated by sewage! Connections and moduals will also be damaged by corrosion.
Not sure that was totally necessary on this One Paul, it was a simple case of the windows left open during a rain storm, seems they'll write cars off for very little these days. The interior was dried with heat blowers for almost 12 hours, then seats scrubbed, when I looked under the seats, there was no evidence of any water damage at all. no lights on dash, and everything worked as it should, so I left it like that 😉
The bonnet was opened to lift it up during the video, interesting you mention the DMF as a possible cause for the vibes, I hadn't considered that, and I agree, BMW really don't go over the top with extras in the cabin do they! thanks for your comments :)
Sold the Alfa a while back now, simply due to running costs, I don't do a lot of Miles, so wasn't the right car for me, loved owning it, and glad I had the chance to drive One, been on the hunt for a Brera ever since, just can't seem to find a petrol model in my price range, but certainly going to own another Alfa at some point, they are special cars! although can be expensive to run and repair, so not really a budget car (unless you get the Mito lol)
@@anastarafder2637if you buy a pre facelift like this (2006 ideally as they revised it with the proper m sport kit) but not 2007. The 2006 m sport has the M47TUD20 engine, it has metal chain guides and no DPF. The engines are immortal providing you service it. In 2007 with the facelift they released it with the N47D20 engine. This engine has plastic chain guides, DPFs and I’ve seen numerous N47s with rod knock. 👍🏻

Yes a shame about the little things, but still a decent spec car at a bargain price I guess :)
At long last you have bought a bmw, well done!
And there is another One on the way soon too haha :)
Thanks for a great year of video's and the interesting content, Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
Thanks for the kind comments Paul, lets hope for a Happy New Year :)

bloody bargain!
looks like you'll make a tidy little profit once those seats have been scrubbed
The seats actually came back like new with 10 mins work, so happy days :)
just picked up a 2006, 120d sport, 27k miles for 3k. im after some m sport wheels. Great vid
Great price with those Miles :)
Can i buy your car
@@abz9128 Sold now sorry :)
Makes me miss my old 116i
In that case Tom, keep watching for something just for you coming up in a few weeks :|)
Youve paid trade price for the car apart from being on the hit list! Next time try a straight auction
I think it was below trade price for a flood damaged M-Sport with those Miles? but still a cheap motor considering it just needed cleaning :)
Is the bonnet shut? Vibration is DMF. Poor pre accident condition. Bmw dont load cars up with extras to help sell them like peugeot do!

Nice job there! you can't go far wrong at that price :)
How is it 1 year later. Possibly buying one tomorrow but really scared off timing chain issues

You can blame the sprouts on the wind
smashed it! £940!!!!!!!!
Yeah I wish I could get bargains like this every time!
Pretty basic for an M-Sport?
Yeah but still a lovely car ;)
How to talk for 20 mins and say nothing.
Not sure what else you expected me to say? maybe you should do your own video so there is a better One out there ;)
