  • I never thought I would be doing vendor booths during markets because I genuinely couldn't see myself trying to sell my own product to others. Doesn't that sound weird now? Anyway, this video is about 15 things I've learned so far. Trust me when I say that I've still got a long way to go.

I'm scared of candles since a candle off etsy exploded 😬 I'm on here doing research trying to figure out why & came across cement candles. That means they shatter & dint explode, right?

You may want to find a way to offer candle refills for the vessel so people don't have to get a new vessel every time if they don't want it.

Do you think putting out a sign that says "thank you for supporting a single mom owner business" would be helpful for my business?
This is weird but the thing i did that I noticed a difference was I wore red lipstick( I kinda think this was a confidence thing cause I feel really confident when I wear red lipstick). I had so many women coming up to me and telling me I looked good and then they stayed and talked and looked around and most bought stuff. but the original reason they walked up was to tell me they liked my red lip.

I think coming at a “moms supporting moms” angle is a good idea. People love to see themselves in others because it evokes so many different emotions in them and helps them feel a connection, which is a huge part of what owning a small business is about!

@@laciej I see your point. I just feel like a lot of the time people assume I have a significant other supporting me so I can try to make my business work when in reality I'm doing it all on my own. I Feel like that side to my story is missing sometimes.

Yes, as a woman I want to support other women. Particularly other women who are coping on their own. I'd shop your booth.
