  • Hornby Dublo did not make a motorised turntable. The choices for someone wanting a remotely controlled turntable could be to build one, motorise a Hornby Dublo one or reach back to the old Marklin 3 rail turntable. About 20 years ago this is what I did. About 6 months ago it broke down. After hours of work it is operational after a fashion. This was also an opportunity to fix a trackwork problem involving the link between two circuits, the stabling area and the mainline.

This turntable was bought about then too and originally restored to working order by a fellow in Ashburton. Not a 1000 miles from Glen Waverley. I can't remember what I bought it for but it was expensive.

I have a video on my channel about working principles and servicing of the turntable if you need to look into it again at some point in the future. Happy railroading.

Thanks. A couple of us have watched your video on the turntable and a few others. It's great to see some other three rail content.
