- In this video (and part 2 which will be out tomorrow) I went through many top players match up charts/tier lists to work out every single characters worst match up in smash ultimate. @@acekun6493 G&W's biggest weakness is disjoints and ZSS can just revolve her entire game plan around nair or side B spam if she wants to. He also relies heavily on low endlag moves and thus a lot of his moves startup slow, all of his smash attacks, aerials (besides back air) and judge are just too slow to connect. Bucket is also too slow to be worth pulling out for her neutral B because she will punish you for it. He's very light so her fast lagless moves that normally kill quite late like up smash and side B make short work of him, and if you get caught in her up B you're done for at basically any percent. One of his biggest strengths is juggling but her complete and utter lack of disadvantage disables that, he struggles to edgeguard her a lot and his other another big strength is him taking a stock off of one bury, which of course she has bury immunity because she's so impossible to hit. Because of the nature of his forward air his forward aerial pressure is horrible and since you have to be so perfectly precise to hit ZSS it badly does him over. I think maybe the only thing going for him in this matchup at all is his great defence against flip jump, because of his up B, up air and back air

@@jacklanning6898 nah gnw is high tier. Hes got nice edgeguard good kill options amazing recovery good aerials and good smash attacks. Hes also pretty small so its harder to combo him and even if u manage to he can just up-b and stop the combo. Projectiles are also useless since he has bucket and he gets free edgeguards against characters with bad recoveries with his nuetral b

The good matchups joke should go to Dr.Mario because not only his he slow, he's also a more stubby character than Mario (somehow), he's speed is 3.18, combos are pretty mediocre, recovery is just as bad as Little Mac(at least Little Mac can grab a ledge with side special) Up b is pathetic(as a recovery move) and Down b is very laggy for no reason(in the air), Air speed is very slow and his air dodge is very laggy.

Tbh I think Joker is gonna start appearing much more in the second half. Tons of the newer characters are based on gimmicks, but the sheer power, range, recovery, and combining from Joker is just insane.

Just to add to Falcos bad matchup : Every short characters, reason why, his uptilt sometimes doesn't reach them, upsmash in general just sucks since its just wonky, and since Falco loves his uptilt to start up combos, small characters just throw a wrench in his gameplay
Kirby can be quite annoying to Falco because of his ability to crounch under most of Falco Moves and even his grab. It forces him to use hid down air witch is really unsafe is in neutral. Even Pichu can be annoying for Falco.
Thebibi78 YTB and it doesn’t help that Kirby’s arguably best combo tool is up-tilt. So if you miss you’ll likely be up-tilt chained if your at zero or get hit by like up-tilt bair if your at higher percents.
Any character that can’t be hit by the back half of uptilt is automatically a way harder MU
Falco does have Down Tilt, which still allows him to combo and kill. Up tilt isn’t the only tool in his kit.
Short characters are still annoying, but as a Falco player, relying a lot on Down Tilt has really helped against Kirby. And Pichu is still combo food, even if this matchup is overall losing.
Pikachu is the only incredibly oppressive character that hurts me to fight against.

Ike is puffs worst match up because he has massive air attacks and is heavy character with a up b with super armor. Hungry box even says ike is puffs worst match up.
Exavious shane Yeah I really hate playing against Ike or shulk as puff. I don't know which matchup I think is worse but whenever I play against those characters in elite smash, it's almost an immediate loss. Lucina isn't as bad and I've got decent matchup experience against the character. I definitely think puffs worst matchup is Ike or shulk

It doesn’t help that Ike is a heavy so it’ll take longer to kill him and he’s hard to edge-guard sometimes because his side b is almost impossible to punish, especially on wifi.

As a long time but still amateur Smash player I've gotta say I love how scientific fighting games are. They're such a unique genre of play. First-timers can jump in and button mash to their hearts desire while pros can literally measure frame rates for the best combo.

Not to mention it works for a much larger percent window than any other character

As a game and watch main I would argue that his worst matchup is actually Ike. Game and watch can shut down a lot of zss options with nair and up air, catching her flip kick, dair, etc. bucket her projectile and her d smash, plus she’s light enough that he can get kills fairly early just spot dodge her awful grab and d smash and it’s ggs. I’d say that matchup is closer to slightly losing or even. Ike is a whole other story though. He out spaces fair and dair,, can escape shield pressure with up b, and he’s strong enough that his dash can kill game and watch as low as 60 percent with rage. Plus his neutral b is one of the only options in the game that can successfully interrupt game and watches recovery. It’s debatable fersure though. Great stuff poppt1

I have to disagree on Lucina being worst for lucas because
-Lucas having ropesnake and a 2x length version of ness thunder gives him significantly more room to mixup recoveries
-His zoning is pretty diverse and open, given he has tools such as a safe ftilt, fair and zair which he can mix with fire
-He can edgeguard lucina pretty well with dsmash, fire, thunder1, and nairtrading
Other than that, last time I checked it was the Lucascord consensus that either Shulk or Greninja were worst for us
His matchup roster is definitely dis-similar to ness

I feel like Puff’s worst matchup is Ike since puff isn’t that fast and Ike’s even better at getting kill confirms than Lucina. Puff gets destroyed by a good up b out of shield and Ike’s does that bit earlier.

link’s worst mu is joker because of his speed, frame data, and he gets really hard punishes off of anything and link can’t get down a lot of the time.
Lucina is not puff’s worst mu, even though it’s bad, Lucina is a very cookie cutter character, and if she gets hit once then puff’s huge punish game
(dair loops, rest confirms, all that good stuff) can be devastating; puff’s worst mu is probably someone like cloud, who can force jigglypuff to approach with limit charge while also having amazing range, making it impossible to get in; or Yoshi, who is considered to be puff’s worst mu by the best puff in the world (Bassmage).
I’m only going into detail of these few as I compete in tournaments and do pretty well, I’m not a top player or anything, but I am good enough and I have friends that are good enough with these characters to know what characters have these bad mus that are worse than what was listed in this video.

Meta Knight 0-to- death easier than Pikachu who at least have to do his electric move correctly. MK edgegard Ganon from the center of the stage!
And MK is not even the worst MU because... It HAVE to get in. Villagers and Isabelle is it worst MU because they can always, and I mean ALWAYS shut down ANY offense of Ganondorf. The top 5 biggest body with the top 5 worst mobility vs a slingshot...
The error come from the fact that MK, Villager and Isabelle are rare and there is plenty of Pikachu
Yeah I was pretty sure this comment was somewhere. I just want to know how he determines what makes a specific matchup worse than another. Like he claims that game and watch can edge guard well. Why isn't g and w the worst match up for every one who gets easily edge guarded?
Eroking actually, no. Ganon gets killed just as easily by mk as he does as pika, and thunderjolt does the same thing as slingshot but better.
Mr. Awzm well, saying he has good edgeguarding is true, but 1. There are better edgeguarders in the game and 2. More importantly, I feel a lot of these ‘worst’ matchups are mainly focused around advantage state, for example for DK/G&W, while DK gets destroyed in disadvantage, it’s REALLY hard for G&W to win neutral.

As a Lucas main, I'm happy whenever I find a Lucina in elite smash. Catching approaches with PK fire is honestly not that hard, and her linear recovery is easily ruined by PK thunder. His backthrow kills her pretty early too if near ledge, actually very early. Characters like wolf, or even ness, are way worse to deal with. Definitely not his worst matchup imo.
Moral of the story: Pikachu, busted.
