Love it when Tony tells Carmela that she's getting defensive and that Melfi hadn't even said anything when most of the time Tony gets defensive over Melfi saying nothing. This show was just sheer perfection. Can't get enough of it.
The best part of this scene is the stomach noise at 0:27. It's so funny, but I don't really know why. I had to rewind it a few times before I realised it wasn't me making it.
Michael Sieger well she’s already aware of it, and there’s not much she can do about it, if she leaves they’ll most likely find her, if she rats out they’ll kill her. But tony should’ve been a better husband, and father. Instead he tries to ease his misery by fuckin women that resemble his emotionally abusive mother.
She's one of the most selfish characters in TV history. Everything she does is driven by self-interest. Even her putting up with Tony's infidelity for so long, is driven by her pampered lifestyle, which would dry up if she left him (he has hardly any legitimate assets other than the house and the boat, as everything is tied up in cash, so she couldn't even take him for half in a divorce).
Such a good therapist that she wanted a person who she knew was an irredeemable sociopath to come back, not to try and change him for better but for her own entertainment.
@@stairwaytoheaven8 Tony is a manipulator. Yeah, rationally she should have seen it coming, but as soon as she saw the error of her ways, she dropped him.
@@andyroobrick-a-brack9355 Yep, when she read word for word the definition of what her interactions with a certain sociopath were, the lightbulb went on.
Tony said a thousand times that this therapy is bullshit and she always insisted to keep going because it was entertaining for her. The all "Tony is a sociopath manipulator that can't be helped" thing is an easy way to justify that she drops him when it's not entertaining no more. She is just as hypocrit as the others.
@@tonisow483 Tony was saying that it was bullshit, not because he was aware that the therapy wasn't helping him redeem himself or that he was even aware of an evil person he was, he was saying it because it wasn't helping him with the panic attacks. The only reason why Tony didn't change is because he never admitted to himself that he was evil. And he has only himself to blame.
Dr. Melfi: "You know I would love to see a trues, wipe the slate clean. Tony's depression, his inability to communicate clearly and Carmela's frustrations as a result all to be put behind us. Tony's Russian mistress whatever happen there... Tony: All right then.... Carmela: WHATEVER HAPPEN THERE?! Dr.Melfi: the infidelity... Carmela: WHATEVER HAPPEN THERE??!!!!!!!! I'LL TELL YOU WHAT FUCKING HAPPEN!! THIS PIECE OF SHIT OF A HUSBAND FUCKED HER FOR YEARS UNDER MY NOSE WITHOUT ANY PROVOCATION WHATSOEVER!!!
The bowel movement noise in the rooms silence was so original and the perfect moment for someone to force themselves to interact verbally. This show just never ends with its highpoints. God bless all youtube Sopranos clipsters!
I love Edie Falco's acting and the subtle choices she makes. When Tony "reminds" her about him passing out with the gabbagool and his mother and all that and she nods her head and agrees, but then she kind of looks up as if she is trying to remember, but clearly he never did tell her. I love this show, a show that motivates the audience to figure some shit out too.
Same...but I didn't rewind...I compromised. I went to Jersey Mikes instead. There was nothing Domino's could do. Jersey Mikes was closer and Domino's was on an hour wait. It was among the Uber drivers. Real anti-fat guy shit.
Great subtle writing. It's as if he can't say "girl" or "woman", or even "broad" or "goomad" in front of Carmela because he's so used to hiding it. Even when it's out in the open that he cheats all the time, he still can't bring himself to say the words. People often do this when they're lying or guilty. "Did you do your homework?" "Forgot." Not "***I**** forgot", because including the "I" speaks the guilt into the world.
well I think the look on tonys face captivates all the frustration in his life. So many times the actors in this show give a "look" that really says more than words. This look is a trademark of the stress and emotion that it is portrayed throughout the series. And your right, its about people. And its about these people, and its very real, and very raw
I just found something interesting. Put headphones on and volume up, then listen closely at around 0:27 :D someone in that room must have missed their lunch time.
+DjaMelaque Even if that was like one of the crew members stomachs or even the actors and it wasn't intentional, I think it was great to kind of add to the awkward silence in the room.
What Tony said!! I've been in therapy and many times I should've said, "Yeah, you must have been at the top of your fuckin' class.". I just laughed a lot at that.
For years I’ve been walking this Earth so confused and sad. Searching for meaning in all the wrong places. And then Tony said “People affect each other in life” and everything fell into place and now I’m living in a lovely retirement community!
The elephant in the room is Melfi herself, and her smoking hot rocking legs. First thing Tony asked about was hoping her knee didn't get stitches when she found out she was hurt. And of course, what's the first thing we see in this scene? Them legs, in a skirt.
True, true. Carmella did know what she was getting into. But even she could not predict tony would suffer from panic attacks. The show has been running for years and melfi could not find the cause of the attacks. As for Carmella if she wanted Tony's infidelities to stop she should have kept him on a leash.
00:27 did anyone else think that was your own stomach lol
Omg I had to rewind it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I quickly scrolled down. Thought I was going crazy.
Yup
Great catch!!! I missed that and had to rewind. Holy shit that was loud. I did wonder if it was me. LMFAO
Dude. Yes.
Love it when Tony tells Carmela that she's getting defensive and that Melfi hadn't even said anything when most of the time Tony gets defensive over Melfi saying nothing. This show was just sheer perfection. Can't get enough of it.
"only death will separate us"
"The gabagool and my mother when I was a little kid..."
LOL
Traumatic gabagool
Oedipus complex? Ova heeeeee

Yea sure Tony blame the gabagool
😆😆😆
You must've been at the top your f*****class...😂😂😂
that's the tony his wife married
Sopranos was a comedy
You must've been in the top of your fucking class.

Copacetic watching this clip lying in bed i thought it was my stomach
dadadannn wtf!? I was 300% sure that was me.
Omg i thought it was me too i had to rewind it a few times LOL
i was playing it back and It felt like the audio radiate to my stomac , I played it like 5 times, and then my stomach grumbled in unison with it
copacetic on the DVD series. in the subtitles it says stomach growling HAHA
'i told u months ago that i broke it with that Russian person!!' 😂😂😂
“right”???😂😂😂
Correct.”Russian Pershaun”.
I like how Carmela only cares about Tony’s sexual infidelity, his criminality is a much lower priority.
Michael Sieger well she’s already aware of it, and there’s not much she can do about it, if she leaves they’ll most likely find her, if she rats out they’ll kill her. Melfi is played so well, she's such a realistic therapist, and shows the patience and empathy needed to be a good one.

Roger Bharath Dead🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is the most underrated line in the whole show.
"Cmon Dr.Melfi you brokered this fuckin' thing.."
"It didn't have to come this"
Tony can be on time tomorrow, Carmella will be stupid forever...

sometimes that happens to me when i go to therapy, awkward as hell

MikeySnatch610 no, I think her rolling her eyes like that is more suggesting she doubts the weight those conclusions hold
She honestly was pretty great this whole season. She played the depressed/exhausted wife brilliantly.
lol tonys lines in therapy were always hilarious
“Yeah I love you too”
“You must’ve been at the top of your fucking class”
I die every time 😂
Sometimes the writing on this show can be soo brilliant 🤣
Scenes like this are why The Sopranos is one of the best television series ever made. Just masterful in almost every way.
Tony and Carmella fighting and arguing is one of the funniest parts of this show
Classic: "You are both very angry...." "You must have been at the top of your fucking class..." ❤
0:28 tony realy wants some gabagool
Gabagool? Ova here
No more Gabagool, the doctor says it's bad for you.
2:55 that angle sums up the entire relationship between Tony and Carmella.
"You're both very angry ".......u must have been at the top of your F**king class " Lol 😅🤣
I thought it was my stomach growling
“Maybe you do things that have an effect on me”
Mob bosses can cry too 😔😔
at 0:26 I seriously though my stomach was growling and had to replay it
Same...but I didn't rewind...I compromised. I went to Jersey Mikes instead. There was nothing Domino's could do. Jersey Mikes was closer and Domino's was on an hour wait. It was among the Uber drivers. Real anti-fat guy shit.
0:27 DAMN! Somebody give Tony a cheeseburger.😂
Gandolfini was a master, but Edie Falco was damn good on this show, too!
She and Aida s Janice performance are some really great acting!
They really should have kept this couples therapy going through the series.
A sign of a great show. So much being said without any words actually being spoken at the start.
god damn the realism of the show......that had to have been somebody's stomach growling at 0:26
Lol when Carmela compares herself to the cigarette company... as if that doesn't make her more guilty than him!
Seeing them both in therapy have to be one of the funniest things in the show
With that "russian person" haha lol funny choice of word, rather than girl or broad

"Your both very angry" Where did she get that impression from?
Idk do you think it’s because she was the top of her class?
I remember they used that on the Mad tv Sopranos Sketch.
Yeah no genius! Ray Charles here!
That last line 😂
I just found something interesting. Put headphones on and volume up, then listen closely at around 0:27 :D someone in that room must have missed their lunch time.
Jesus I thought that was my stomach
Michael Gregg lol me too and this was after I finished eating a 12 inch meatball sub and I thought "oh oh this doesn't sound too good"

I always thought it was intentional. It happens as soon as you can see all three actors.
LOL I kept re-listening and i still can't believe they left it in the show lol
This shit is hilarious. I miss this show so much. RIP James
Tony has more respect for Dr. Melfi than he does his wife... not surprised
Deservedly so
What Tony said!! I've been in therapy and many times I should've said, "Yeah, you must have been at the top of your fuckin' class.". I just laughed a lot at that.
I freaking love this scene!
"that Russian person"
"Anything w/a Pulse"
I wish they did more with anything with a pulse. They were my favorite characters on the show.
I wish they did more with The wise guy. They were my favourite character.
JohnLoCicero I really connected to those characters yes
I wish they did more with person who smokes their life and then blames it on the cigarette companies.
For years I’ve been walking this Earth so confused and sad. Searching for meaning in all the wrong places. And then Tony said “People affect each other in life” and everything fell into place and now I’m living in a lovely retirement community!

Greatest scene of the whole series. Sums up everything.
"Maybe you're guilty over something"
This contrasts wonderfully with Dr. Krakower's "Probably the least of his misdeeds"
I though it was my stomach making that noise 😆. I had to go back a couple times
"Very nice... That's... Very nice..."
HA!!!
this scene is just so good
I wish they had done more with the stomach sound at 0:27. It was one of my favorite characters
It always goes back to the gabbagool
I thought that was my stomach. Thing is: I am hungry right now.
"I told you months ago I broke it off with that Russia PERSON!" LOOOL
