Thank you so so so much! Add node->LUT->drop the key output gain->histogram curves, (little bit greenish, Megan style)->add node->film grain! And big big congratulations, Megan!🎉👏🎊
Congrats on 100k, Megan!!! So well deserved 👏We love working with you too, it's been amazing to be a part of your journey and see what you've achieved with your talent ❤
I am a professional photographer itself, so I would not lie, but this kind of color tone is not what's preferable to me, but I surely would love to appreciate how easy you made it look and how easy it was to understand the colour grading process. Thank you for the video; the video actually stood up to its title a solid 100%. I loved it.
I was going to ask u in last vid to make your videos longer because 3-5 min isn't enough for us but here u are haha. I never seen such a pleasant n' enjoyable tutorial, as always you know what you doing. Also huge congratulations to your 100k you truly deserve it and more, all love and support for u Meg
a bit of a personal touch I like to add is some glow effect for when I want it to look more ''dreamlike''. Overall great tutorial, I loved it, love your videos and your work!
You have to add the LUT after the CST Node. Before adding make no sense, since you add a node to make CST to have a flat profile before you add a LUT. After that, you have to create a compound node together with your CST Node and the LUT Node after the CST Node. Then you can reduce the gain. Try it out.
Congrats to 100k Megan, crazy how fast you've grown A tip for anyone using the build in FILM LUTS, make sure to set your Output gamma to Cineon Film log, so it's probably applied :)
Yes, but the LUT Node has to be placed after the CST Node, not before. Both have to be transformed to a compound Node and the gain has to be adjusted afterwards. You all do it wrong.
I always love seeing your videos and enjoy the work you put into your color grading! One thing though is that the film look luts were made to be used with an actual film scan so the output gamma should be set to the Cineon film log instead of lowering the gamma’s intensity to adjust the lut's harshness. Also, congrats on 100,000!
congrats on the 100 k subs. Looking forward to the 1 mil. :) You deserve it. Your videos helped me so much today (binchwatching EVERY video of yours today.)
Congraulations Megan! Fellow Msian who is studying to be a film maker here! Thank you so much for making this video, can't express much on how I am so grateful for it. I've always been quite into coloring and you really make my eye open with the graphs as I always go for the color wheel >< I think you just boosted my confidence in coloring on Davinchi hehe
I loved the color grade but you could enhance it more by selectively fixing Skin color or bringing it close to the real skin tone, cause the skin retoucher in me is getting Ocdic, seeing all those greens in skin tone

Great video Megan! And congrats on 100k! Did you shoot in Slog-3? If so, did you have to overexpose? Or what what picture profile did you use while shooting. The clips looked great!
Hi! I'm russian, and i bad know english, But I noticed that you are losing the right skin color, check it in the vectorscope and don't forget enable this in the settings of vectorscope, as well as a hint to remove the colors in highlights and shadows, use sat. vs sat. curve, do it before color grading Congrats for 100k Good luck!
Noice tutorial on colour grading. I was curious what your CST is set to. Which PP do you use on your a7iii? Tip: option-S is short cut to add New node. Command-F fullscreen, and Command-D to disable node. Thanks again for the helpful tutorial.

Hi Megan!! You're videos are so so helpful thank you so much!! I have a question around editing in resolve. Do you always do your edit before you colour grade? Also how do you make sure your computer doesn't lag while trying to colour grade I find mine always lags so much. would love to see an editing process video in the future
Hi ! Thank you so much ! Yes i normally edit before color grading but that is just my preference and what I find best for my work flow. Regarding the lagging on davinci, yes it does happen soemitmes but here are a few tips and tricks that could help speed this up. First open davinci and your project, then go to your menu bar on top, and click 'Playback' then click 'Proxy handling' and then 'prefer proxies'. This will allow davinci to prefer teh proxy versions of your clips instead of the original to speed up the processing. And then another thing you can do is, go to 'Playback' again - Render Cache - User. This will render your project while yo're working and there should be a red line on your timeline that will turn blue slowly once it has been rendered. (red-not rendered and blue-rendered) So you know when everything is blue that you can playback without problem. Last but not least, what you can also do is reduce the quality of your video playback. YOu do this by going to 'playback' again - Timeline Proxy Resolution - half or quarter. Hope this helps !
