- In the vlog, we are traveling in the southern 100 miles part of the Blueridge Parkway, North of Asheville, NC as well as visiting the lovely city of Asheville. On our first day, we traveled North along the Blueridge Parkway, we were lucky to arrive there in the peak fall colors. We climbed to the top of Craggy Pinnacle to the viewpoint as well as to the top of Mount Mitchell - the highest point in the Appalachian Mountains and the highest peak in mainland North America east of the Mississippi. We also hiked to the Crabtree Falls and explored Little Switzerland. On our second day we traveled further North and reached Linn Cove Viaduct, the last segment of the Blueridge Parkway to be completed in 1987.
We spent the following day in downtown Asheville as well as the River Arts District (RAD). On our last day in the area, we visited the Biltmore Estate, the largest private home in America. It was the last tour we experienced in this wonderful 14 weeks cross-country trip.
