      Lansing Michigan. Shroyer's Towing works with the Lansing police. They tow you even if it's only two blocks and charge $450, plus $50 a day storage. The Lansing Police get a kick back I guarantee. Everywhere else charges you between $50 and $100. The Lansing police if they arrive on scene will not allow you to call a different towing company. A cop once told me I had to allow Shroyers to tow my car because I was blocking traffic. I only had a damaged tire from the accident so I drove 20 feet into a church parking lot so I wouldn't be blocking traffic. The cop threatened to arrest me.
      If Shroyers tows you, you will have to pay $500 to get your car back, more if you have to wait a couple days to get the money. Then you can have your mechanic tow it for repairs.
      I once asked an employee of Shroyer's how he can live with himself charging people $500 to tow a block. He said AAA and insurance pays for it so it doesn't matter. I told him not everyone has AAA, and the people who do pay higher rates because of him.
      If any cops outside of Lansing have your car towed, it will cost you usually $70. Certainly under $100. Even if they tow you 50 miles, they might charge $80.

    Buddy of mine once had his car towed by a local tow company. Ran out in time to have car dropped... even offered $50 to driver for his trouble. Didn't work. $425 dollars later he got his car back. Weeks later sees same tow truck parked outside a local watering hole. Bought a can of sardines. Proceeded to stuff sardines down into his dash vents and anywhere else he could reach with a stick. Learned later that it cost him a pretty penny to completely remove dash. Revenge! If you get towed on Friday, say goodbye to lots of money. They will charge you all the way till Monday, because they don't work weekends. If you get towed at 11pm on Friday and you pick up your vehicle first thing in the morning, they will still charge you for four days storage. Storage rates are outrageous. And to make it worse, the initial tow is ridiculous too. You'll be out a good $800 by Monday. 'F' these crooks!!!

    I have had to deal with quite a few towing companies over the years and not always about being towed like maybe to just lift something so it could be loaded onto a trailer. Have also hired forklifts if they were close by. The ONE thing common with every contact with a towing operation is the presence of “DICK” vibes!!! EVERY ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!

    I am a retired police officer and I need to warn any of you that ever have your vehicle stolen and then recovered. A tow company will more than likely tow your vehicle from the scene it was located. If your stereo system is stolen, check the police report to see if the officer noted it was missing. If it was not noted by the officer, you need to make another police report stating your stereo was stolen from your vehicle AFTER it was released to the towing company. This goes for anything that was attached to your vehicle that is missing after you recover your vehicle. Don't every trust tow companies.

    I think some cops are working with some of these towing company. My Jeep rolled over on a I 75 exit but only damage was the mirrors (roll over in the grass) . The cop call this towing company and give me his blessing. Company towed it to there location and try to have me sign over the repairs to them..When I refuse the company wouldn't release the vehicle claiming I need proof of insurance and registration which was in the glove compartment...They wouldn't let me get it because its way back there and it's dangerous . I couldn't believe what I was hearing...I called my boss telling him i'm going to be late because of what's going on...The manager of the towing company saw my work ID card and his eye was wide open. That's right I worked for WSVN TV Miami lol....My vehicle was on the street in no time...He even waive the towing cost lol. Later that day I notice urine smell from the passenger sit and my glasses in the glove compartment was twisted and broken, and insurance card missing lol. Nasty people.

    • @m.anthonyc.8761
      @m.anthonyc.8761 5 лет назад

      I don't think it really becomes a freedom of speech issue when it comes to getting charges and indictments for using a cell phone jammer, it becomes a problem with the FCC because Now you're blocking everybody's cellphones signal indiscriminately from contacting 911 or Emergency Services in the event of an emergency.
      Imagine how much crime or how much that would assist criminals by using a cell signal blocker while committing a crime or robbery? Most people nowadays don't even have a home phone and just have cell phones.

      The Constitution protects your rights from government "dis"organizations. You don't have to look far into the private sector *cough cough* youtube Twitter Facebook, to see that private companies can shape your speech when using their products or on their property. Head to Disneyland and protest their use of cheap overseas labor and see how long you are allowed to remain on property... or wearing your company uniform while flipping the Presidential motorcade, only to find your private employer no longer needs your services.
      As for the blocking of communications by a private company, would be violations of other laws but not the Constitution.

      But your "observations" mean just as much as mine do in the big scheme of things. The actual facts show that the average American crime victim is far more likely to be victimized by a fellow American than by an immigrant.

It is about time that these dirty filthy insert your favorite expletive here people get what's coming to them there are too many laws to protect these thugs gangsters and I'll leave you to fill in the rest then there are to protect the citizens. Tow rates are way too high. If you park in a handicap zone that's one thing if you're parked and somebody's parking lot because you're stupid and you didn't read the sign that says no parking is another. It still shouldn't cost you $1,000.
