This honestly sounds great especially for the price and ease of install. Much easier and more fun to drive a manual when you can hear the motor! Especially when there’s no analog tach

That sounds great, man. I put a similar muffler delete (AWE) on my manual Wrangler and it made a world of difference. Not too loud, and just enough rumble to give good feedback on the gear progression. Good choice.
Yes exactly. I mean, if I want to be annoying I can make it loud. But it's more about the gear progression like you say.

Awesome vid; thanks for putting this together for us! I watched it with closed captioning on, and when you were hitting the muffler with the metal hammer, and when it first showed the exhaust rumbling, it said "foreign music". LOL

i had a 2.3 tuned with charge pipes , blowoff and cold air and flow master. i miss it man that manual is amazing

It sounded much better . You do fell the extra hp. But look into the JB4 tune you will love it .
Sounds good dude. I did muffler delete in my 2 litre badlands sport about 5 months after I bought it for the same reason- too quiet.

@@NorthShoreOverland it sounds great. A bit of drone. Originally I swapped everything for a glasspack. Recently took that off and just put a resonator on. The glasspack got way too loud. Interior drone was crazy.

That is a nice sound indeed. I use a nice Akropovic exhaust that sounds amazing, but I have a tiny rally car; not a bad-ass beast like yours.

it does open the air flow a bit. We have CAI on all of the Broncos from the factory with these restricted exhausts.

Great video! I was wondering what the 2.3 would sound like with a muffler delete. I like that my Bronco is quiet, but I don’t like the big chunk of muffler hanging back there waiting for a rock to hit it. So it’s either delete or find a smaller muffler that doesn’t sound obnoxious. Not that yours sounds bad. I just like to keep the DBs down for hunting.

Are you still liking it? I'm just a little worried it might be a little too loud and would get kind of bothersome on long trips. Is it pretty quiet in 6th at highway speeds?
I still love it. Yea I don't think you hear it in sixth at highway speed. Just when accelerating

I got the Flowmaster FlowFX Exhaust Systems 718123. It was obnoxiously loud. Curious, with no muffler at all yours seems quieter.
I like the sound of it. The only thing that concerns me is whether there may be engine issues now that there is no back pressure.
Valid concern. From my research, the exhaust manifold and catalytic convertor provide enough back pressure that is needed. Less back pressure is better than more back pressure. There won't be any issues.
This was my thought as well. Hope it is OK! I think it sounds great.
@@AdamHillikerLikesRobots oh it's fine. Muffler is mostly there to "muffle" the sound.
There's enough backpressure from the cats. He's fine.
Oem muffler has a flap valve integrated to help with lower rpm ranges to retain torque values, just like performance bikes you get the best of both worlds. Basically the flap in the muffler helps with the lower rpms, then turbo helps with the higher rpms. Removing the muffler will give you more HP in then higher rpms but sacrifice your torque in the lower end.

Just curious seen you on forums also but did you start off with 35’s then went with the 37’s? I have a big bend 24 non sas pretty much want to go a similar wheel setup, from my research removing the crash bars and putting a 1” level kit should be good to go with 35’s similar setup as yours. I’ll be buying the fast wheels from Canada too!
Have you done a before and after DB test?

Muffler deletes will really effect your lower torque curve since the factory muffler has a flap type valve in it. I ran a cat back for awhile then re-installed the factory and could tell immediately I had gained my torque back from the 1500-3000 rpm range
Not true on turbo apps
@@McCoy_Judd it’s is true your not building boost till 2300-2500rpm range so you relying on standard engine operations with no boost. When you crusining on the interstate your not using boost, when you crawling at low RPM’s your not building boost. There are plenty of dyno tests that prove lower rpm torque numbers are lost when installing an aftermarket muffle

@@McCoy_Judd this debate has been proven on multiple levels. Cars engineered today are extremely well engineered. This exhaust theory has been proven on even 1000hp engines, dyno with mufflers on and off. You gain minimal hp at from 3500-6000 rpm range. Unless your car was made in the late 70’s and 80’s bolt on items gain you nothing that’s worth thousands of dollars. It’s all in the tuning these days.

None. I have a buddy with a manual as well and his is also fine. The internet tends to amplify certain problems.
Does installing this void warranty?
Shouldn't. All it does is add noise.

Did you notice any loss of power or change in power delivery or is it strictly just more throaty?
It feels more responsive, but I think that's just because I can hear it now. But I love the way it sounds now.

Nope. If anything it was a little loose. Was a bit seized in there to remove he muffler.
Have you regear the diff for the 37s
I did not. I have a Manual Badlands which comes with 4.71 gears. Plenty for 37's

Well it sounds good on a 4 cylinder, so I'm assuming it would sound even better on a V6

It shouldn't. But always best to check with your dealer.

I really like it. Like I said, it's pretty tame if you drive normal, but you can make it grumble if you want.

I just wanted the clearance and a little louder. But it sounds way better than I thought! I'm sure the 2.7 sounds even better.

Good luck! Someone gave me a tip with the muffler bushings, spray some WD40 on them and they will come off easier.
