@@dg1738it means a deeper sound than with a smaller tip or tips. Personally I like megaphones like the old hot rodder's used to use. They keep the tone high pitched but bring the volume up. You get to hear all the snaps and crackles.
it also maters how far the tip sticks out ! i pulled mine out so they line up with the end of my Bumper so the Noise can get out without getting into the bumper and get muffled

So, tone is really subjective. There's volume, and there's quality of sound. So if it sounds ugly it's just sounding ugly louder. I'm not a fan, but since these folks are, more power to 'em. I do think the 6" tips could've been aligned better against the half-moon bumper openings. But, does it really matter when Uncle Jesse and Cooter are showing off their truck nutz? Then again, to my eyes, having tips that are more than 2x the diameter of the tail pipes just looks sad. Kind of the same vibe as showing off your 22" wheels over your 10.5" drum brakes.
I really though only 18 year olds made their honda sound like this!!! they get sound deaden from it in the cab driving, but anybody walking the sidewalk and their neighbours as they go past just gets abused. But these kinda people don't care. The guy running the channel loves it like he is 12!
I put 4"x18" tips on my F150, after having just plain tailpipes- the tips increased the volume quite a bit and gave it a ton more drone. I had to take them back off.
OMG - On the "Drive-Offs," the Stock one sound far superior to all the rest, hands-down!!!! The 5 and 6 inch ones had such an ugly clapping, metal sound! 🏁🏁🏁🏁

@bryanunion5110 look up fluid motor union on RUclips. The guy knows his stuff. No tube bender all mandrel bent pipe and tig welded. High end vehicles and jobs but he will show you alot of what you are looking for. The last video I watched he was showing how muffler location placement changes sound.
Vibrant bottle mid and vibrant ultra quiets in the rear to whatever tips you like around 4 inches sounds pretty good. It might cost as much as a full cheapo system, but I think it sounds solid and better than most cheap systems. If you really want get more volume, resonated test pipes as well.

I think what makes the trucks sound like shit is because of the routing of the exhaust on true dual. Plus stock manifolds sucks ass and usually always make it sound terrible without longtubes
cool if they like it and hey if they live in the countryside, good for them. IMO It needs a crossover pipe and some muffler. No sound engineering at all makes it sound way too raspy. An exhaust like that would be pulled from the street in minutes over here.

I think the reason why here is because these guys don't understand how exhaust pulses work with crossovers like an x-pipe, or h-pipe. They just hear the usual, "go true dual for the most aggressive sound." This place has told multiple customers that without explaining the differences between duals, x-pipes, and h-pipes. True duals usually sound clapped out

For clean deep tone, go with flowmaster flow fx in the mid and rear muffler delete in to 4.5 inch tips

I went from 5” to 3” on 5.7 v8 and didn’t notice a difference at all.
Just goes to show how difficult it is to find a good shop guy drove 3 hours for help
