In diamond form she's nearly indestrucible without losing any mobility, she gains super strengh, the ability to survive without food, water and oxygen and stop aging. The drawback is that in that form she dosn't feel emotions and at the same time she's imune to all psychic powers, she also can't use her telepathy.
I was a big fan of the original trilogy and skipped past the film because I didn’t think it would be good without the original cast. I got around to watching it with zero expectations and Fassbender as Magneto blew me away so much it became my fave X-men film immediately. I just found myself wanting more of his character

Similar to how Mystique is resistant to telepathy because of the constant shifting of her genetics and physical form.

in modern days beast is blue because of mystiques DNA and his chemical creation to "stop" the mutation gene witch in his first trial did the opposite. nightcrawler is the son of mystique and the red dude from this movie. so there is a correlation to each character at least in modern days. before it was a printing issue it seems.
I know in this movie universe it might not be the best movie but it's definitely my favorite. The chemistry between the characters and the story was amazing, also I think they tried their best to make a coherent timeline but it still had a lot of differences that didn't make sense with the original trilogy. Can't wait for Days of Future Past!

Anyway as much as I love this movie this the one where they really start to completely ignore keeping any sort of consistent continuity. This movie not only contradicts several things from the original trilogy it also completely contradicts the previous movie (x men origins wolverine) in several major ways.
The Inhuman in AOS vijay he did adapt to survive they just kinda forgot abt him. He did turn back Into terrigen crust when he sank into the water. I do wish they brought him back not just in the framework.

Especially because pure black ink is pretty hard to get and most black inks even today are actually just really dark shades of blue and not black at all, this is common with black hair dye too.
This movie did way too much of the "what are we, some kind of suicide squad" because the naming of characters wasn't organic at all, but other than that it was great.
I'm hoping Darwin shows up in the new MCU and it turned out he transdimensionally teleported to protect himself. Probably wishful thinking but you never know.

I highly recommend checking out Wolverine Origins and The Wolverine before Days of Future Past. Both develop the character and the post-credits scene is linked to DoFP (and contextualizes an issue before the film).
I love this movie! though it's been a while since I watched it, I had forgotten how much of the politics around the Cuban missile crisis was in there lol..I also can't help but notice a lot of the things people hate these days in prequels are present in it, like how all the characters get their names/outfits and such, any prequel released today with these many references would be ridiculed to death, I miss these simpler times where a good movie can get away with such things!
I hate how corny & dumb this movie is but I can't ignore the great acting, some very well written scenes and the perfection meme. All in all I can rewatch it every couple years.

The best soundtrack only followed by the same composers work... The winter soldier. Although days of future past is nice, I had really wished for a continuation of these characters.
