Safa here…. Roberts one of the best 2/3 centres ever to play for the Lions. Would have picked him for Springbok 12 any day. Powerful ball carrier.
Also SA boy here, strongly agreed. Was so thankful in 2009 series Lions vs Boks he didn't get more ball

Jamie is a great dude. What a gentleman. In regards to England vs Wales in RWC15 Sam is correct. I believe he was replaced in 65th with George Ford. If you watch the game again (I’ve watched about 3 times) George Ford comes on and Jamie takes advantage. Questioning Sam‘s selection to this tournament is fair. Blaming him for England woes is not fair. Great podcast Gents. I watch them all.
Saw Jamie in Cardiff the day before he announced he had covid! Mixed feelings l never asked him for a pic with my grandson😁 He's a legend..And l am a West Walian living in Lloegr!
Wales could have done better with this highly respected inside center... He's one in a lifetime kind player...

Jokes aside I said to my mrs the other day, i dream that my daughter meets and marries a Jamie Roberts. The man is a machine, a Dr seems to have a very even temperament is a Rugby man and can play guitar.

Jamie Roberts is sort of Wales' answer to James Haskell, albeit less muscular/gregarious/kinky etc.

I don't know why it should be such a shock to be dropped. You had not played well for ages and deserved to be dropped on merit. There has been a lot of good players not gaining a cap due to over the hill players carrying on too long
