I don't know if there are studies to support this, but my personal anecdote: I have found that taking calcium, magnesium, and the b vitamins help immensely with the irritability, rage, sensitivity,
and panic/anxiety. I didn't notice a change with the calcium/magnesium until I had taken it consistently for a month, but the b vitamins work within 24 hours of taking them. This, again, is just my personal experience after my physician recommended taking Optivite PMT. I am careful not to take over the recommended amounts, but I have found it cheaper to buy just those vitamins than the Optivite PMT, plus the Optivite PMT seemed to make me too keyed up.

Lots that's helpful here. But I do want to speak out against the idea of surgery to "fix" this. Wow. That's incredibly disturbing. There is a lot out there in terms of traditional medicine to address physiological balances, not just pills or surgeries.
