Helen Lindes is my favorite Miss Spain of all time & she is very beautiful even up to thia day. That is why she even won Miss Photogenic here in Miss Universe. That interpreter didn’t give her justice! But Lara Dutta totally nailed it. She deserved her victory.

But back in 2000, this question is totally unexpected, would really shock everyone(even the audience) especially under such a high pressure moment in the MU Top3. Ok here goes the final round and to determine this based on how they responded to the question, so Spain now Portuguese is very similar to Spanish......the interpreter did not respond correctly but Spain did give a great response the interpreter didn't, Venezuela poor English language but the answer was ok....,India definitely on point and determined so in the end............👑India has tooken been determined 😎💯💖 In the end............ Well it's 20 years, but these interpreters don't do full justice, India won Lara was awesome so calm collected absolutely bang on it looked as if she couldn't do anything wrong like so confident and at the same time elegant simply awesome👍👍👍👍 we are so proud of her and would always be Sushmita, Lara, Aishwarya, Priyanka, all made us so proud on the world stage.

Only Sushmita, Lara from India are the perfect winners, Harnaaz somehow doesn't have the personality, wit, charm and natural flair and radiance like the other two have.
Although Lara’s answer killed it but there’s more to the answer than reality.. most of the Indian models entering pageant doesn’t seem to enter into armed forces or entrepreneurship it’s their way to enter into films. So yes the protest indeed had some point as they looked at the bigger picture not some cleverly drafted shallow message.
