@@Gonzalezreview well, the only answer I disliked was the racist activist answer. It was unfortunate. It denies all that previous Queens have accomplished for little girls, specially dark skin queens. The leadership on girls.... i guess her delivery was superb. So I didn't see anything discriminatory there. Except the implication that we are not leaders so someone needs to teach us leadership. But, compare to my favorite, Puerto Rico, who did great with all her answers and was by far the most beautiful one and waa discriminated for been white and blond, she did seemed more prepared for been an ambassador of Miss Universe.
@@323azteca Her answer does not deny the accomplishment of women leaders. She just said that from a systemic level, girls are not taught leadership because they are not expected to take leadership roles. They are expected to take support roles and work behind the curtains. However, that doesn't mean that there are no women who were able to rise above that and acquire leadership skills and leadership positions using whatever resources are at their disposal. So what she is saying is that we should be teaching girls at a mass scale that they should not be afraid to take up space, i. e. be visible and take credit for their work, instead of just working silently from the background.
@@judyannlubiano8493 as to leadership I disagree that women are not taught leadership today. At least in the USA and Latin America, that is not true. It might be true in Africa. Something Ivanka Trump, the President's daughter, is working very hard to change. But most importantly, we women come by God's design with leadership traits. We lead at home and maintain order. We lead our kids. We lead at work. Leadership is influence. We use it all the time to our advantage. Its part of our DNA. Activists wants you to believe that leadership is synonym to CEO. That its a position instead of a trait. They don't want you to embrace your leadership in all areas of life. Because you need something to be angry and fight for. We do not need to be taught leadership. We need to be taught confidence. Us women are also naturally emotional, hence we question ourselves more often than not. We thrive to perfection before taking a step. We need to learn to take risks, to be confident, and to navigate politics. The rest, we are natural experts already.
@@323azteca I disagree. I can make general statements about how women are treated and your qualification that context differs is well-taken. However, I cannot agree with your essentializing statements about what women in general are and aren't capable of. I think we are more complex than that.

I rooted for South Africa and Mexico because they speak with conviction. If what they say is wrong you would still agree to them. THAT IS HOW THEY ARE good.
Steve it’s very important to teach young girls today the importance of their true value. We see so many perfection in social media, perfect lives, perfect bodies, perfect faces, perfect relationships. Nothing is that real. We have to teach them that who they are is already amazing, who they are is already worth it, because what they really are is not what it looks like, it’s what they feel, what they act, and the way they react to the world. I believe a girl is worth what she has to offer to the world, way more than the way she looks. Thank you.

But, congrats to the Top 3; for me they tend to be the best top 3 so far, compared to other years.
Puerto Rico and Mexico said the same thing just paraphrased
How can women expect other women to lead other without knowing their true value as a women? That’s my question. Even tough Zotzibinu delivered a fantastic answer, it lacked one important thing: Self-identity.
@@Cheo-ji8io agree
@@Cheo-ji8io Zozi's answer fits with the time frame given. Self-identity is also important. But Zozi just gives her strongest point and belief - leadership that lack in women scene. She gives a shout out to leadership that should be an equal opportunity given to men.

In our society that full of bullying ..People are dying coz of depression coz they don’t see or feel their “true value” in life ...
Magaling silang lahat.. kelangan din talaga ng leadership to advance causes such as anti bullying.
Mexico’s answer is relevant in today’s society.
Mexico deserves the title very relevant answer.

Even Steve unconsciously chose ms South Africa....he said “ very good “
Because He’s s black too, lol! But yes was a really good answer.
He actually said that too to Thailand in top 5 questions
Of course not because he is black, because south africa turn is number 2. There is comparable answer, in the same time, there is one more contestant, there was free time to talk, as a mc, there would be strange to make a long pause. South Africa's answer here alone is enough for her to get the crown. Forget the swimsuit and long gown competition.
That dress is amazing, though.
Young girls self esteem and self worth is a very big deal. SA answer stood out, but all 3 finalists answers was strong and all 3 were strong in each round/phase of the competition. The bar in this miss universe was very high.
@@tunzj01 They were all good answers, but SA has the better answer and was more convincing. How can Mexico talk about self worth and complain about today's standards when she's clearly part of the problem?

She should of not won just from that
@@Gonzalezreview well, the only answer I disliked was the racist activist answer.

Thank you.
