    Just got mine in from Amazon China store…. Gonna watch this video several times to install it correctly. 460 lives on!!

    Great video. I just subscribed since I see you have TONS of great upgrades for the OBS fords. Exited to follow your guidelines to upgrade my '96 quad cab 460 truck with the Manual Transmission.

    I had an 88 f250. I used all of the banks stuff except for the headers. The banks stuff is pricey but it all fits just like banks promised. I also picked up alot of tricks from an old 4wheeler mag article called "project m.p.g." all there tricks worked.

      j w I came across that same article... Remember when there wasn't an internet and the magazines were the only source of information on upgrades? One of the benefits of working at Summit Racing was we had access to every publication the company advertised in... So,every month we were all given a stack of mags to flip through... I definitely learned a lot..

    This is a great idea. if you use the 460 EFI Guys Low profile throttle body this would so simple as all the Cobra Head junk is gone!

      FYI there is a video where someone debunked the efi guys throttle body. It is actually smaller bores than stock.

      Yeah I can believe that. And I can also tell you that probably one of the main reasons is of course there's more trucks than vans out there but the other reason, from a video creator standpoint, is that it's really difficult to get good camera angles on that engine compartment. I did a couple of videos working on my son's van but it was stuff that was easy to get to and shoot. I love driving his van though. He is a 1987 E150 Club Wagon with less than 90,000 miles. It's spent most of it's life in climate control and it was bought for by the original owner and equipped as a van dweller set up. It's insulated inside and everything.

    Can you make a video on the routing of the vacuum lines. Like the tree from the line for the fuel pressure regulator and such. Would be much help!

    I have a issue with my 90 f250 460 it hesitates and stubles at take off sometime and dies on uneven ground or when giving gas from a stop "stuck in mud its 2wd also

    Thank you for your efforts. I am wondering if you have experienced my problem? I have the 460 in my Class A Motorhome and, on a recent trip, I stopped for fuel and, after restarting the engine I couldn't kick the idle down. It was up around 2500 rpm and, when I pulled it into drive, the idle dropped to about 1500. when the vehicle was doing 50 mph, the rev's were down to about 800 and when I stopped at my destination and put it into part, the rev's were back up around 2000 rpm. Do you think you could perhaps suggest a place to look at a possible solution? I have looked at the accelerator cable and it seems free inside the jacket. Thank you again for all your efforts and keep up the good work. Great stuff

      You need to manually look at your throttle Blade with all of your hoses off of your throttle body to see what's going on there if it's a mechanical problem or if you have your idle air control valve sticking

      Ronnie Ford Thanks! yep, my son has an E-150 and it seems to be a little bit harder when you're working on the front of the engine. Watch my oil pressure gauge install... I would love to have a removable dog house like your van, to easily install the pressure sender on the back of my block. Needless to say, Van's, Trucks, and Motorhomes will have variations.. 😁

    I bought a 1978 f250 to learn about mechanic stuff. I'm learning as I go but on my engine it doesn't have a fuel regulator. if I want to install one how do I go about installing one?

      You need to hunt down videos on Carbureted vehicles as a fuel injected pressure regulator is definitely different than yours..
      Most Fuel Injected engines have a fuel pump that does a pretty good job of supplying extra fuel pressure to the engine if you just add a regulator like I did BUT, a carburetor can only handle so much pressure so a regulator can be used to back down fuel being sent to a carb instead of increasing it..
      Really the only concern a Carb engine has is making sure it isn't starving for fuel and that the carb is adjusted correctly for all different climates, elevations and RPM's.. Good luck..

    Have a 1992 F250 460 4.10 4x4. Bought it stock at 11.4 MPG and cut the air horns, deleted air pump, deleted cat, flowmaster exhaust, and I still get 11.3 MPG. I'm nkt gaining gas mileage, but it's got a ton of power for having 285k miles. Looking at doing headers next but they cost money. Any thoughts on upgrading injectors?

      I did... the thing is you're only going to see miner games with all these changes and they eventually add up and make the truck feel incredible but upgrades progressively get to be more expensive. Here's the injectors that I used. amzn.to/32VMBhG

    Hey, just did the adjustable regulator upgrade on a 97 460 in a bucket truck I use on the farm here. There was a light engine fire at some point and the four port (mixer?) on the air intake and the cylinder/cartridge (valve?) attached via the ~3/4 hose - as show in your video where our finger is pointing at 3:05. Can you tell me what these two items are actually called? Thanks! (and thanks for the video, my high pressure electric fuel pump from an aux tank was over-pressuring the oem regulator)

      Watch my video on air horn/ velocity stack.... It is a velocity stack suppose to help low speed air flow... The 3/4 hose is the clean air intake for the idle air contr bypass port(so dirt does not get sucked into intake during idle) and the canister is a one way valve so the intake doesn't blow bypass oil mist into the air tubes and ultimately get sucked onto the blades of the throttle body...

      Thanks - found the other video and also found a used velocity stack resonator, got the truck back up and running on aux fuel with the adjustable regulator as you demonstrated, really appreciate the time to reply!

    what would you recommend for fuel injectors? i see pound difference,, what did you run on the 460ci

      24 lb matched set. I put a link in the description of one of my videos that I talked about the injectors it was the best deal that I could find and they were Superior

    My air pump is going bad.. I picked up a belt 47 5/8"
    Did you have to plug anything off or will I be able to take everything connect d out?

      Best to plug air tube.... Also remember that without the air pump the o2 sensor is going to see a richer than normal condition therefore it will lean out the mixture a bit at the injectors so there is a potential for less power(not much less) but definitely less fuel will be sprayed into cylinders... That is one of the reasons I added an adjustable Fuel Pressure regulator. It helped a little bit.. ruclips.net/video/VLfyx-S6lUs/видео.html

      10 around town...10-12 towing 6300lbs at 64... 8 towing 6300lbs at 74..... can squeeze out 14mpg empty on highway without cap on truck...

      I couldn't find my adapter for my fuel rail initially(the garage is a disaster)... I Soooooo wanted to get a stock reading but, without the ability to connect my Sun gauge I couldn't... Of course after the BBK Regulator was mounted I found the rail adapter..I believe it was about 39 (Vacuum disconnected) and of course lower at idle with vacuum connected around 32

    Hey man, great info, thanks a lot for it. One of the comments you said you get 10 miles per gallon. I get no where near that. I’ve changed out o2 sensors, cat and muffler, cause I’m in California, but I still get codes for to lean. What else should I be looking into.

      cesar esparza really driving at a reasonable speed is the way to obtain decent gas mileage. Just go through my playlist and you'll see a lot of different modifications I made mainly the exhaust headers and cat back exhaust system. But I also made improvements to the air intake and the ignition system.

      Got it. I don’t step on it very often. Because it’s a big block. It’s lifted 6” and on 37’s. So I’m changing the gears. But I still feel that it gulps fuel like crazy. I just plugged in an obd II, still has P0171,174 codes. Lean on both sides, like I said, I’ve changed plugs, wires, Pcv, o2, cat, air intake. I’ve taking it to mechanic to check fuel pressure, it’s all good he says, so I’m back to square 1. I’m stuck. What’s your best recommendation. Any help is appreciated.

      The problem is with the stock system running a bit on the lean side, especially the CA computers.. Do you have a MAF system..I was under the impression that CA model trucks like mine came with MAF.. I don't think I could offer any good advice as every modification I have ever made since I was 16 years ol was to gut out, or remove, my Catalytic converters... Meaning that if I suggest a modification it may work but your emissions will possibly fail...
      If you plan on keeping this truck for awhile and want to understand how the fuel injection works AND be able to test and fix it easily I would buy this book... amzn.to/2HBDlJa ... I bought this book back in 1993 when it first came out and have used it over the years many.many times... it is the bible as to understanding the fuel inj system on old 5.0 mustangs and all the stuff applied to this truck too... It is very easy to read and understand(I hate reading)... Sorry I couldn't be of better help with this..good luck..

      @@Foxboss9 i had the same issue check your fuel pump pressure. And your fuel pressure regulator. That was my fix. My fuel pumps were going out.

      A reasonable speed for saving gas. What is a reasonable speed?I have an 86 Ford 250, just got everything sealed runs great but gas mileage is definitely not great obviously
