The baffles eliminate the sound produced by the air passing through the system. It's a good mod to remove them if you don't mind the sound.

They put those horns on there to reduce the airflow because the had to retard those 460s. They pull so hard that they have a tendency to blow up. They retarded the engines so they would last longer.

Thanks for the vid and nice truck btw!!! I have a '95 F250 7.5L and I am trying to get all the horse power I can. I am willing to get the same bank system. (I already cut the air horns and did notice a slight difference.) But opened your video in 2 different windows to compare the Banks lid to our stock. I don't really notice that much off a difference. I mean they still start out small from the fender and get bigger toward the air hoses.(The top of the lid view) And from the (inside view) flipped over looks *about* the same in the vid. As far as height wise from what I could tell... ..video view. The only thing I can figure is how the Banks lid sits on top of our air box. Meaning @4:34 seems to be more shaped(the plastic) coming in toward the air filter. Than the Banks lid @5:01. *hope this all makes sense? But my main question is really worth getting the Banks intake system vs just getting a K&N air filter and keeping the stock top cover?* Any one or An_Auto_Addiction could answer ASAP would be greatly appreciated. As I am wanting to get the most horse's I can as soon as I can! *Also what are you guy's opinions on getting a bigger throttle body too?* 61mm. To help get *more air in?*

I'm not a mechanic and i have no experience doing any of this it's my first time. And been looking at throttle body and full conversation kits from 460 EFI guys. @@isaicastaneda4812 Your welcome. Ya I hear you! I did get rid of my smog pump which is part of the air injection. I had to get a different pulley belt since I took off the pump. Research says less pulleys more horse power! LOL But I know there is more stuff I should of took off. And once I add the headers should finish the air injection.(I think) From what I gather. I'm somewhat of mechanic, however not tweaking or upgraded motors as I am wanting to do. I also want to bump up my time advancing. But I will call this guy that rebuilds motors for all these hot rods/classic cars around here and hope he can do what I'm wanting. I carried full a 5g can in bed each time but had to stop almost half way to top off to finish getting to the campground. I then topped off tank with gas from can in bed to make it more than half way back to stop and top off. Fixing the 2nd take was the greatest thing since.
