It's not easy to reassemble like this kind of drill, but you did a really perfect job, I did not miss anything from beginning to watch the whole video. wow, its amazing restoration. thanks
Jesus, were they having a competition to see who could create the most complicated drill chuck? I'd have given up on that halfway through disassembly. Nice job on the restoration, but man you have WAY more dedication than I do.
Dear gear show, thanks for your videos, it's always a pleasure to watch it ! Hey i visited Cambodia many years ago, It's a beautiful country and people are always nice. Thanks for your videos ! Please if you have time, please clean the box of your tools.
Dear Oscar The Frog, my pleasure. I'm so glad that you visited Camboida. Yes, all tools boxes after I restored the tool I cleaned them. Where do you come from?
@@gear_show I'm came from France. I stayed two month in Cambodia with my girlfriend. We were backpackers. It was a wonderfull travel. And we met a lot of cambodian people. Always nice, always helpfull, always smiling! The food was great too. Yeah ! I fell in love of your country. Keep the good works and cheers from France !
That's a rare old beast of a cordless hammer drill - I've never seen one like this one. Maybe they only sold in Japan. Super job restoring it and converting the batteries. 👍👍👍
Obviously you paralleled the 6 cells doing three plus three lithium batteries to get 12+ volts out of 6 cells. But that also doubled the current capacity as well... Thumbs Up!
Listen, I love what you do... I love it... I love your videos.... I just wonder, where did you find this stuff????? The bottom of the ocean??? Every case, every tool, looks like it was submerged in salt water..... Brutal....
In south east asian countries like Cambodia, Vietnam, etc, there's literally Chinese/Japanese factories everywhere. The used power tools are piled up in like a tool graveyard. U can get any and everything u want for pennies.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you love them. These tools are imported from Japan. But I don't know where they collected them. I think they from Japan tsunami...
Not really he has basic or easily obtainable workshop tools besides the welder thing he has for joining the metal strips to batteries every other thing he uses can easily be bought at most good DIY stores across the world or on their websites
Okay, I can list it here. 1. Hydraulic Press, use to press bearings and stuck tool 2. Sandblasting, use to remove old surface, rusty, and old painting 3. Multimeter, use to check continuity, and measure voltage of the battery 4. Spot welder use to weld the battery and soldering job 5. Drill press, Cordless power tool, wrench set, drill bit set, etc... 6. Vinegar use to remove rust from bolt... 7. Laundry powder use to clear plastic etc... I think this comment will help you. Have a nice day!
This hammer drill must be OLD! Those are NiCad (Nickel/Cadmium) batteries. They used to place the 10th battery in the "neck" of the battery pack that goes up into the tool body. That is why it is there! Also, that is why he needed to make a "dummy cell", to mount the contacts to. :-) (1.2V nominal per cell, NiCad, in series X 10 = 12V. New battery pack is 3 X 3.7V cells in series (11.1V X 2 in parallel). The run time of this tool, when new, was a lot less than what it will be now with the Lithium power pack. Awesome restoration! It was in pretty rough shape!
Just putting my thoughts out there regarding the circlip bending out of shape, when you heat the bare metal parts you are ruining the heat treatment of them! so the hardened keys that keep the gears locked to the shaft are likely now soft etc along with the circlip, hence why is bent out of shape so easily. For components which aren't hardened the heating and dropping in oil technique is perfect but for hardened components you should definitely look into getting some cold blue liquid since that will not affect the heat treatment of the steel! other than that awesome job! :D
15:03 Be careful heating up spring steel with a torch and quenching. It doesn't look like you got it too hot, so should be fine. More of a watch out for other viewers.
I always waiting for your new video All your video that post on youtube is awesome I give you one like to you Good job. It doesn't work anymore matter. Your restoration any kind machine. You always make it work. These Comments For You !!! How much did you buy the HAMMER DRILL EZ6802
You forgot one important thing... Battery sealing! For more safety of batteries and battery module, you should seal the whole battery assembly in plastic/rubber tape, or laminated rubber housing. All other stuff was great masterpiece of art in workmanship!
After I dissembled it, I start editing video, so I can remember everything. Than after reassemble and test I finish my editing and render for upload...
My favorite show on RUclips. Keep up the excellent restorations.
Wow, thanks!
Half an hour of pure satisfaction
Thank you.
Keep up the good work
Glad you enjoyed it!
Forgiveness and restoration are two difference acts. Forgiveness can lead to restoration but restoration is not hinged to forgiveness.
I totally appreciate you taking the time to repurpose these old tools. ty!

Yes, I never see this type of hammer too, I agree with you this tool is only in Japan. Anyway thank you for the comment.
I'm always impressed...this drill seemed to have more parts...I would never get it back together 😁
It doesn't work already, if we fail to make it work, it is normal. Fortunately if it works we get new experience. Don't worry you can try it.
Too many pieces for me......... Amazing workmanship and restoration. Thank You.
