Just a quick note on Merchandise, I for one would purchase some, anything to help you produce more content.
Good luck with the future van upgrades & your next driving test. 👍🏻

you will need a higher rated fuse for your inverter. 150amp x 12v is only 1800w. If you run anymore than this the fuse will go. For a 3000w inverter you should run a 250 amp fuse and 40mm2 cable which is rated for 300amps. Personally I like to use 50mm2 cable for inverters,

You said you were happy to receive suggestions in your comments section - I have been doing a lot of research on van conversion including the power system. The general advice appears to be that you should have an isolator switch on each "incoming" power line to your van systems. So that means an isolator switch straight after the leisure batteries (correctly rated); an isolator switch on the incoming power cables from the solar panels and an isolator switch on the DC2DC cable (before reaching the busbar). The 240V from the inverter should be going via a breaker switch (like) you have in a house as should any shore line. The exact switches required for the 240V circuit depends on if you are using an Inverter, Charger or a combination unit. Victron do a unit which manages 240V from shore, inverter and charging.

Great review on the new inverter👍🏻 I don’t know if you’ve got electric hookup installed but there is a way that you can use all the 230v sockets fed by either the inverter or the mains hookup. There is a voltage sensing contactor that you can wire in. When the sockets are running from the inverter and you plug in the mains hookup it automatically switched over to feed the sockets from the mains, then when you unplug the mains hookup it automatically switches back to the inverter output. The switch contactor is called ca2kn22p7 and it’s about £40. I have 2 fitted on my van, one for the 230v sockets and another one for the fridge running through a 230v to 12v transformer from Halfords for about £15 , this works when the mains hookup is plugged in it switches off the 12v feed to the fridge. When the mains hookup is unplugged it switches the contactor off and then it goes back to the 12v battery power

Looks like he's given you a 150amp fuse for the inverter. That's not enough for a 3000w inverter.
To work out fuse amperage you divide wattage by voltage, 3000w÷12.7v=236amps. So you need a 250a fuse. If you try to pull anymore than 1.9kw that fuse will blow. The fuse blowing is not actually dangerous but pointless having a 3Kw inverter if you can only use 1.9Kw of it. If he's under spec'd the fuse check the cables are up to the job. Ideally need to be 50mm👍🏼

I know that roundabout! It’s a brain confusing one, I’ve done exactly the same thing in my van. There’s another really awful one at bamber bridge for Blackpool exit. They are misleadingly signposted. You’ll get it next time for sure.

It says in the inverter advert it is not suitable for class 1 appliances. Class 1 basically means any electrical item with three core cable and that needs to be earthed. Please check as i believe most air fryers are class1. Be safe.

I think you need loads more amps on that fuse like a 250 or 300 amp your cables are far too small you need safely 60mm or 75 and keep them short

Bit concerned with the product description on the Inverter 'PLEASE NOTE: This product is not suitable for operating Class 1 appliances. Typical Class 1 appliances include toasters, kettles, washing machines and irons' I question its efficiencies. Some inverters have a 90% efficiency, others have as little as 60% - Therefore heavier on your leisure battery. Thanks for the video!
