Actually I guess they went by what they ‘saw’ so there was no need for that. Secondly they never checked the cameras at his house because no one would listen and she couldn’t tell them cause he was always listening.
Something I just caught: The reason why Adrian's eyes look so irritated and red when he's found by the police tied up in the basement is because Sydney sprayed pepper spray on him when he was in her room. So Adrian probably left shortly after that moment.

Another thing that made me really mad, was when she was trying to give everyone evidence but she was doing it the hard way. You found his PHONE with photos of you and Sydney while sleeping. You could have shown people the phone and photos. How would a "dead man's" phone end up in your attic with photos of you on it ? Yes people may still not come to the invisible solution but it is obvious that someone is stalking you.
They probably needed to fill the time, but I feel like she could have shown people the phone as evidence, and they could still have killed her sister and put her in a mental institute because she did seem delusional.
In many movies the character has one piece of evidence and rushes to the police or a trusted person only to be laughed off. They say something like: you need more evidence or this doesn't prove anything, or even in some cases can be turned against them. These are just movie tricks about writing a plot and so is this one. Besides she only needed a proof for herself that she is not crazy
A phone with pictures of you sleeping is not evidence. You can easily set the timer and take them yourself, or have someone else to do it. Also, as someone who's been stalked before, creeps can definitely reroute their # to an untraceable phone.

@@AiirxGeordan Yeah I thought that as well. He obviously suspected there was something going on-that she was at least wired. What he didn't suspect for her was to physically fight back the way she did using his own technology. She didn't want to kill him but she knew that if he was still around free she couldn't be. So her options where: 1) Continue to try to get him to confess somehow 2) Do what he wants and return 3) Try to run again 4) Kill him She definitely wasn't going to get him to admit anything. Didn't want to go back to being abused. Wasn't safe running anywhere as long as he had a suit that made him invisible....
He did confess, the way he says "surprise" let's her know that yes it was him in the suit because he said surprise when she was sedated in the hospital. he wont say it out right cuz he knows shes wired. But wants her to know it was him
Valentine Paige Yeah, but that confession doesn’t implicate him to the police. It would just be hear-say and even easily written off as a coincidental word choice. So, he definitely figured she was wired or at least recording it.
What I didn’t like was how Adrian knocked out all those police officers and security guards with like one or two hits. Yeah he’s invisible but he’s not Superman all the sudden
I mean, he was pretty strong, he broke a car window. Plus whatever the suit is made out of probably helps. And if you know where to hit that's also helpful.
Have it be part of the special edition version of the DVD/Blu-Ray package. Not just "behind the scenes" stuff-actually have the movie again but with a highly visible "Invisible Man".
I thought it was poetic that we spent the entire movie with Cee as she stared into seemingly empty spaces KNOWING Adrian was there, building suspense and filling the audience with dread. Then switching perspectives at the end with Adrian staring at Cee’s empty chair right before she killed him. Just beautiful.
And it did something clever by using every woman’s worst nightmare, to be in an abusive relationship that you can’t escape, making the idea so terrifying
Kae McSpadden yeah, makes me wish soneone did a movie like this but with the gender roles reversed. But instead of invisibility it’s them not being believed
This movie was insane. It wasn't a traditional thriller and genuinely had me on edge the whole movie. I have never been so shocked by the Restaurant scene and the paint scene, it caught me off so off guard that I had to check that I didn't just imagine that happened. It's also infuriating because instead of those movies where shit's going on and the main character is like "I won't tell anyone", she's telling everyone and no-one believes her and it's so sad! But I'd definitely watch again, such a good movie
@@NotSandhorst while that is certainly awful, it is also INCREDIBLY rare... while actual rape, where no one is accused, or where no one is caught, or just no one is ever punished, is exceedingly commonplace

Three details i thought were great: Everyone calling her Ce (see), the invisible man being an evil iron man who also has tony stark's audi, and the lawyer brother always looking hunched over to match her spineless comment

But bc I don't have a regular period every month I didn't think twice about it and never once got morning sickness. After the 3rd month he finally convinced me to take a pregnancy test at home and I did and it said yes but it wasn't until I had my doctor's appt the next week that it was 💯 confirmed. But he knew from day 1 that I was yet as the one who was actually pregnant I didn't have a clue.
Jimmy Rustles You know plenty of women do not know they are pregnant right? Like, how is that a plot hole when it’s based in reality. There’s a show ‘I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant’ that shows this or even news articles, and you’re saying it’s a plot hole?
I work at a theatre and my god, I hate cleaning theatres when the credits are playing. It’s so scary and feels like there’s an actual invisible man with me.
Not a man. There are invisible beings, but they're not people. Just creatures from the fourth dimension that we interpret as many names in many languages/cultures. You just have to get used to the unnerving feelings, & not show any reactions to them when they try to spook you (for fun, I might add).
I screamed out loud when the paint fell & her ex was exposed RIGHT in front of her. I THOUGHT it was the actress screaming but no. Twas me. After, while I dashed for the loo (giant drink, my bad), a group of people were ragging on "the parent who brought their small screaming child to this type of movie". My poor husband was standing there, wondering whether to explain that it was not so much a minor, and more of his Very Much An Adult wife who just lost her mind, momentarily.
It really isn’t like a lot of hexagons, it’s more like a circular shape. I don’t really see the connection with a normal background to the suit but I see where you’re attempting to come from .

I don't think it was the suit. Dude looks pretty ripped when we actually see him early and late in the film, and we know he's capable of shit like completely shattering a car window with his bare fist in one punch. I agree him tossing her around like she weighs nothing is a bit unbelievable, but as for the cops it makes sense. If you think about it, every single hit on any of them is essentially a sucker punch, they have no idea what's coming or where it's coming from. The human body instinctively prepares for blows in the split second before they land, even if you aren't completely blocking it, to minimize damage. It's not the most far-fetched idea to thing a buff guy could K.O some security guards while completely invisible and unknown.

I wouldn't call it a happy ending. More like a ironic ending. She became the very thing things she was fighting. @@colin_wheelz2022 I mean happy in the sense that she gets to live her life with seemingly no external strings attached, no extra threats to deal with or twist ending
The most horrifying part of the movie was the beginning. I’ve had to leave someone like that. Your heart is beating, you’re shaking uncontrollably, and you don’t know if you’re going to be grabbed and beat back into submission at any moment. My person called me for days telling me he was going to end his life until my family took my phone and blocked him on everything. I really appreciated Elizabeth Moss’s performance, especially finding out about Adrian’s “suicide”. It’s not a victorious feeling. It makes you sick. She really got there.
it doesn't make sense for the girl to think C punched her, when she clearly didn't, I thought that was kind of dumb. Because was on the ground when the girl got punched.
I agree but when you think about it, even though she was a bit away it makes more sense to assume it was her since there was nothing to indicate she hit something herself and makes more sense than an invisible man.
Omg thank you! That part drove me crazy! When it first happened I thought, oh good now she finally has a witness to corroborate this invisible guy thing. Then the girl thought she hit her, how?! She was still on the floor! It was crazy that her first instinct was to think this broken woman sprung up with supernatural speed and hit her.
Chalchiuhtlicue what? It’s FAR more insane for your first instinct to be “omg I was punched by an invisible person “ rather than assuming , somehow, the woman with ptsd that is “seeing and invisible man and doing weird shit” AND on drugs has punched you.
@@danielz-v4083 The most logical response to what I have re-watched at least 7 times should have been "Dad! I don't know what happened, something hit me and I don't know what it was!" Not "Dad Cecilia hit me!"?!?! Like bitch what are you on right now? Why would she hit you and how would she?
First of many plot holes, which is a shame... They were no where near close to each other. Really takes you out of the story. But that's the same "no one believes me" as always
Before the fire is turned up, when she puts the knife down, it's picked up immediately and because it's in a bag, it shows that he already had planned to kill someone and pin it on her. Also when he lets her pick which food they eat, she picks steak so there will be a steak knife by him, because she had planned to kill him. Really great movie, was so hoping there would be an open ending for a sequel though
At beginning of story, Adrian was always ahead of her, knowing her thoughts, because she was so traumatized and abused, but by the end, she gained strength and was able to outwit him. amazing.
What's funny is I was shocked that they continued the movie after the brother reveal. I thought for sure they would save the rest for a sequel and not reveal that Adrian was still alive.
he is a narcissist and narcissists hate what they can’t have it makes them crazy knowing someone they thought they had control over doesn’t need them anymore. Like the brother said Adrian loved her because she didn’t need him
Just because someone is rich doesn't mean they can have whatever or whoever they want. Money doesn't automatically mean you're better than everyone nor does it grant you authority to take whoever you want.
Yeah. His brother kind of confirms that when he says that the reason Adrian wants Cee is bc he’s never been rejected before and is so narcissistic that he can’t have anyone reject him
Good luck telling a judge that despite having the resources to escape from the situation (A literal car) you decided to position the car in front of the guy and aim to run him over. Self defense cases are not always easy to win as is, but that would be nearly impossible.
I remember seeing a video that talked a little about this. The cinematography was fantastic, the moments when the camera pans around an empty room are amazing. A great subversion of expectations, given that pan shots are usually used to call attention to something.
They actually used a robotic camera in some scenes. The kitchen scene when C was fighting Adrian and one shot during the hallway scene where he hits the guards head against the wall or glass and pushes him to the floor.
@@dawnkrazy8164 Well, I never said the movie itself was fantastic. Though I did quite like it. Subjective opinions about the movie as a whole aside, I was only stating that the way the film captures some of its scenes were amazing in my honest opinion. You see, when a film establishes a pan shot, most of the time it calls to attention something within the shot. However, this movie subverts that expectation in some of its most tense moments by panning to nothing, leaving the audience to assume whether or not the antagonist is there or not.
Fun fact: Leigh Whannell reveals in an interview one of his other endings, Cecilia still goes to Adrians house at the end without James and the intention to get him to confess but to only dump him and not forgive him for killing her sister and knowing it was him and not Tom. She then leaves Adrians house and he begins to go bezerk and flips the table and destroying everything, he then hears the noices of the invisible suit and turns his head... the screen turns to black before the credits.
Jay Flores ngl I think this one is way better. They’re both basically the same ending where she puts on the suit and kicks his ass but this one is more believable. You’re telling me she put on the suit, dragged a mans arm to slit his own throat, ran back to undress, and then came back out in time before he died? And her hair isn’t even tussled up after putting on a skin suit? They’re both the same ending might as well go with the one slightly more realistic
14:28 Adrian was holding the knife in her hand at this point and her arm, she's struggling to move but he's holding her - and Elisabeth Moss acts amazing in this scene fighting against no one!
She is probably not like a nurse and didn't know the doses, cause she obviously doesn't want to kill him at the start. Also, it was a clear scene that showed: he didn't drink it all and it had alot of remaining subtance left in the glass
My favorite thing about this movie was the female lead. Finally! We got a smart, not sexualized, not overly badass, damsel in distress that saved herself. While her friends and family are actually VERY supportive at the beginning of this mess, nobody really helped her but herself. This is a real female character hollywood! Not some trope. Good job Universal. My one complaint about the kitchen scene...sprinkle flour around the house lady!
11:41 This is honestly the most upsetting part in the movie. Had she kept that phone, the problem would've been solved then and there but noooo, she had to have horror movie syndrome and leave it.
RUclips Enigma also at the restaurant when her sister is killed they could’ve checked the surveillance cameras of the knife sliding off the table on its own ugh
@@ollie6610 i imagine the camera angle would have made it so that it could be construed that she was holding it. Plus everyone saw her holding it so i don't imagine the police would be gung ho to check cameras
If the police had checked the cameras, they would have seen that she didn't do it. And when he attacked several police officers, instead of trying to go after her they could have watched their own footage to see very clearly SHE didn't do anything wrong.
My main gripe was that every character refused to call the police... “Oh I found the suit that’d prove my evil abusive boyfriend is actually invisible, I’ll just keep call my sis up, what’s the police?”
@Meyonice Cecelia could of gotten the evidence to someone easily. She could of taken the suit with her after escaping Adrian in his house instead of leaving it in her secret hiding hole. @@froggermeister6399 she hid it in the hole for a reason. She knew adrian could easily overpower her and get it back thus she resorted to hiding it so that adrian wouldn't know the hiding spot and she could just send police to check it for her.
@Meyonice but does she even ever use the suit she hid? That might be the one she uses at the end of the movie but her using the hiding spot was never really useful (mainly because she went to tell her sister before calling the police...)
I am so happy you did a video on this! So good like always. The scene shown at 12:08 (first 'reveal' of the invisible man) was among the best I have ever seen in a horror film. It was perfect
I just got into an argument with a guy who said this movie was ridiculous because what man would invent something like this just to terrorize his ex & I was just like have you ever talked to an abuse victim??? Because you clearly don't know abuse very well if you think this would be ridiculous, the only thing stopping an abuser from going this level of nuclear is that they don't have the knowledge & means to do so.
It wasn't bad, but it definitely could'a been better. At the very least, it would have given us Tywin Dance as a possibile crossover villain, and he's always a good idea.
You missed 2 very important parts. 1. When she goes back to Adrian's house and removes the suit (13:38), she actually stashes it in the closet, which is where she gets the suit from at the end of the movie. And she uses the same secret hiding spot that she used at the beginning of the movie to hide her suitcase. 2. One night when she's in the mental hospital she hears on the news there's gonna be heavy rainfall for the next few days. This is why she chose that specific moment (17:10) to cut her wrist. She knew that when she got Adrian outside, he'd be easier to spot because rain would be falling on his suit. This is also why he was under the SUV with the trunk open, so that the trunk would shelter him from the rainfall, making him fully invisible.
Those 4 black suits you see at the start when she is leaving are not the invisible suits tho. They are just black suits haha. The invis ones are in that special room.
how did she get out of the suit so fast? it seemed like his throat was cut, and then she ran into the room right away...... and her hair was still perfect... hmm lol movie magic i guess

I think the part that annoyed me the most was that he's able to wash the paint of the suit and just be completely invisible again quickly no issue. Like, you ever get paint on any kind of lens? then add the fact it's got ridges and recesses between each lens. It'd take hours with some very specialized paint removal tools to make it fully invisible again.

Something I just caught: The reason why Adrian's eyes look so irritated and red when he's found by the police tied up in the basement is because Sydney sprayed pepper spray on him when he was in her room. So Adrian probably left shortly after that moment.
So you’re saying both brothers were there in suits, which doesn’t make sense

@@mitsu9314 Are you even serious right now...If the suit had no holes then how would the dude inside it breath or see? The suit is just like a tank. Fully covered but still having holes for you to breathe or see. Come on buddy use your head.
Could've asked for camera footage of everywhere he attacked smfh
In many movies the character has one piece of evidence and rushes to the police or a trusted person only to be laughed off. They say something like: you need more evidence or this doesn't prove anything, or even in some cases can be turned against them.
These are just movie tricks about writing a plot and so is this one. Besides she only needed a proof for herself that she is not crazy
she didn't have the phone for long. she saw the photos and that's when they started fighting and then she ran out and got an uber

So her options where:
1) Continue to try to get him to confess somehow

it doesn't make sense for the girl to think C punched her, when she clearly didn't, I thought that was kind of dumb.

ShanaJahsintaWalters legit
She is probably not like a nurse and didn't know the doses, cause she obviously doesn't want to kill him at the start.
Also, it was a clear scene that showed: he didn't drink it all and it had alot of remaining subtance left in the glass
ShanaJahsintaWalters No shit 💯
H P i also doubt she has very strong drugs just on hand either, seeing as he controls what she takes.
@@honeycrispsnail4032 But he used this same drug to knock her out and get her pregnant.

This was amazing. I hope to see more horror remakes actually be GOOD remakes, not a poor copy and paste
Thank god for endings explained I so wanted to see this but couldn’t because of COVID19.

Elliot Mathieson I actually got to see it because of it. I normally always just catch his recaps but this one was definitely worth watching!
This was the last movie I saw in theaters before the lockdown.
Damn, what a goddess. I wish abusive relationships were ended and wrapped up in a nice bow like this in real life.

Those ellipses basically imply you disagree. Do you think abusers don’t deserve that for everything they’ve done?
My favorite thing about this movie was the female lead. Finally! We got a smart, not sexualized, not overly badass, damsel in distress that saved herself. While her friends and family are actually VERY supportive at the beginning of this mess, nobody really helped her but herself. This is a real female character hollywood! Not some trope. Good job Universal.
My one complaint about the kitchen scene...sprinkle flour around the house lady!
Finally? Lmao, do you live under a fucking boulder? This isn't some brand new concept.

This is honestly the most upsetting part in the movie. Had she kept that phone, the problem would've been solved then and there but noooo, she had to have horror movie syndrome and leave it.
RUclips Enigma also at the restaurant when her sister is killed they could’ve checked the surveillance cameras of the knife sliding off the table on its own ugh
There are more holes in the movie then cameras on the invisible man's suit... Smh
@@ollie6610 ya and all those people wouldn't notice a floating knife? Also, how could he know that she would grasp the knife, that's just change.
@@ollie6610 i imagine the camera angle would have made it so that it could be construed that she was holding it. Plus everyone saw her holding it so i don't imagine the police would be gung ho to check cameras
Yes! She had evidence... like several times throughout the movie but nah I’ll call my sis out for dinner
The restaurant scene - SO SMART, public spaces seem like the safest place - but they completely turned that upside down in 3 seconds
If the police had checked the cameras, they would have seen that she didn't do it. And when he attacked several police officers, instead of trying to go after her they could have watched their own footage to see very clearly SHE didn't do anything wrong.
@@safwatwaleed4165 I think camera footage would've cleared her .. cuz clearly she didnt use the knife to hit her.
My main gripe was that every character refused to call the police...
“Oh I found the suit that’d prove my evil abusive boyfriend is actually invisible, I’ll just keep call my sis up, what’s the police?”
@ Um maybe she'd demonstrate that it actually turns them invisible, just maybe?
@@metalliccake857 lmao adrian would just kill everyone that cee tells the secret to.
@Meyonice Cecelia could of gotten the evidence to someone easily.
She could of taken the suit with her after escaping Adrian in his house instead of leaving it in her secret hiding hole. Then she could of gotten the patiently waiting Uber driver to take her to a police station, showing them the evidence and saving the day
Dumb decisions drove the story at times
@@froggermeister6399 she hid it in the hole for a reason. She knew adrian could easily overpower her and get it back thus she resorted to hiding it so that adrian wouldn't know the hiding spot and she could just send police to check it for her.
@Meyonice but does she even ever use the suit she hid?
That might be the one she uses at the end of the movie but her using the hiding spot was never really useful (mainly because she went to tell her sister before calling the police...)
Who would've thought that if you want to make a successful Universal monsters universe, then it's actually best to make a HORROR movie
I honestly enjoyed Dracula Untold. If they had kept the Dark Muliverse movies like that one I would've loved that
It wasn't bad, but it definitely could'a been better. At the very least, it would have given us Tywin Dance as a possibile crossover villain, and he's always a good idea.
I enjoyed it too
jonathan doherty no

I'd use one of those suits and go around to film sets and make the crews think their sets are haunted.

Dracula Untold is an outstanding movie and severely underrated.
Extactly
I loved it
WTFCharles thankkkk you I thought that movie was great
Yesss
- I second that! Very good storyline as well!!!
The invis ones are in that special room.
it's called... a prototype
Maybe prototypes? I doubt they were just morph suits adrian left standing on display. He's weird, but not that weird.
I though Dracula Untold was fine, especially when compared to the Mummy.
Are you talking about the mummy with Tom Cruise?!
Because I knew that movie was going to fail just after watching the first trailer!
Nevermore 728 agreed I actually really enjoyed that movie
Dracula untold was good
I loved it too, though from listening to some people that saw it, it seems to be disliked

how did she get out of the suit so fast? it seemed like his throat was cut, and then she ran into the room right away...... and her hair was still perfect... hmm lol movie magic i guess
I thought I was the only one thinking that 😂😂😂
Yes!!!!! I legit thought someone else was involved with her and they didn’t explain that which was the whole reason I came to this video!!!
Because it’s stretchy and easy to get off. As for the hair, definitely movie magic
lots of hairspray.
I thought the same thing. And how is she strong enough to make him cut his own throat. Women don’t possess that kind of upper body strength?
Even though he's nearly invisible, he's still got a solid body right?
Wouldn't he still cast a shadow in the light?
It wouldn't be crazy to believe that it covers it's shadow with light.
@@sniperflashgaming3868 I don't know how light works, but I would think that the lens could only reflect light, not cause it to wrap around a person's body from their front to their back.
@@sniperflashgaming3868 That doesn't explain the lack of a shadow. He's not transparent. He's a solid object who's suit is just camouflage. And light can't go through solid objects unless they're transparent all the way through, like glass.
@@sniperflashgaming3868 Then yup!
My 2nd grade reading level does not understand light.
@@NoHandle44 nah fam, sniperfishgaming dumb af. He WOULD be correct, if light came from virtually all points around him, which it doesn't. The movie is realistically lit at all times. The light coming from a singular point, (or more) would cause ANY PHYSICAL OBJECT to have a shadow.

That was some thin ass paint. No way if it was real paint he would have taken it off that fast
Ever given a thought that it was both him AND his brother all along? They were BOTH there in all likelihood
As seen at the start when she goes into his laboratory to turn the alarms off, there’s 4 invisible suits so its possible he ran home and got into another suit ? Sorry for the extremely late reply lol
It's called suspension of disbelief, most movies have inconsistent shit like that lol
Sad as it may be, I actually quite liked most of Dracula: Untold. I'm sad that it won't be getting a sequel.
But then again, I am glad they finally nailed the proper way to handle these monsters.
I watched it as well, it was so good. An amazing take on what actually happened, mixing the history and the rumors/myths that happened.
I liked to movie too 🤷🏿♂️
Why no sequel though it was a good movie n not even a box office bomb unlike the Mummy which was shit
I've never seen it but larger budget movies that don't make a TON of money tend to be seen as failures by studios. plus even if it did not bomb there is not real idea of the money spent on advertising and preproduction of other movies that we going to be a part of the "universe".
Was going to watch this in theaters, but it’s the end of the world.

True. Then i thought maybe Adrian and his brother were there at the same time.
The whole movie was really good but you can’t expect every little thing to be realistic
