In the US it is legal to treat cows with Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH) to artificially increase milk production. The cows become so misshapen and unhealthy from it that they can barely move. It is insane. The fact that this is allowed is what Dr. Hyman meant when he said one of the problems (in the US) is corporate capture, because corporate factory farming interests have captured the government agencies that are supposed to regulate them and protect the public from bad policies. This is one of the major issues that RFK Jr. is running against; he is committed to cleaning up the US food supply to end the chronic disease epidemic in this country.
The milk is also processed differently and in the U.S. we don't even have clotted cream which I loved when I lived abroad. I don't know if Dr. Hyman is talking about milk globally or mainly in the U.S. He has his own YT channel where he might have more information and I agree that sources need to be cited.

Those cows have the same type of milk as a human female. A2. People are now able to drink milk because they’re drinking the right type of milk. The cows they were using before had genetic defects for the past hundred years basically the cows from Europe were defected the A1 type cow. If you go into Whole Foods you can find a two milk. It’s a brand, but that milk is pasteurized but it still OK to drink because you’re not gonna have any allergic reaction to it however you will not get the health benefits unless you go to a farm. and pick up the raw milk. Preferably the A2 raw milk, but even the A1/A2 raw milk doesn’t give people side effects the way the pasteurized homogenized does.

plant agriculture is much more important to society and human longevity than milk or eggs, In most of the first large civilizations it was grains that amassed most of the calories. because simply animal agriculture is harder and takes more resources- the science also reflects this as well. you are appealing to a fallacy that because we did something or that something was helpful for survival it was good which isn't necessarily true. there are plenty of things our ancestors did that we can look back upon as unethical or unhealthy. people eat animals and animal products as a way of survival. it was not necessarily a choice for them to go to a supermarket and think Im going to drink a cows milk. it was moreso that it was the way to have calories. our species nearest cousins are all frugivores and get a majority of their calories through plant foods, and while its true that they also eat insects and raw meat on occasion it isn't common. and simply the science doesn't show that we have adapted to eat meat and animal products like truly omnivorous or carnivorous animals like a dog or a lion. so we can, live and sustain off them, we are not adapted for longevity and optimal health through a majority diet of animal products. this idea of humans a historical hunters that killed and ate a lot of animals is I think mostly a myth, without bows and steel, it would've been pretty hard for us to kill some of these animals, it truly isn't in our nature to kill. name one person who comes back from war and doesn't feel a more disturbed person, or someone who works a slaughter house and feels more "human" after. humans are most resonant in peace and love. a lion kills to eat and doesn't think to show mercy or remorse, even when we killed animals we spirituality make peace with it, and it was easy to do when killing that animal was for your own survival. else wise we harden when we kill, and hardening is not in ideal or most hospitable to human nature, that's why we see so much mental illness, loneliness, and repression because we think hardening is masculine or human or the way of survival, and while all these things are "survival" survival isn't ideal, the paradigm in which we exist for a majority of people isn't "survival" our paradigm is more align with abundance and self peace.

This is the problem with diets. Or dietary restrictions. What works for some may not work for someone else. Just eat what you want and what makes your body work for you, and find ways to make your own “diet” best work for you.
Side note: I drink 1L of milk daily, did get dairy tolerance before, and said to my body adapt to the milk or suffer. Now I eat cheese, yogurt, huge cups of milk and feel absolutely fine. Knowing how to balance your own tolerance and stopping it from building up is to how adapt. Completely cutting a food from your life can cause tolerance to build up. Which is why it’s good to diversify and eat every possible food you can, while trying to maintain a healthy but balanced diet. At the end of the day if you want your body to adapt to a food, take in small amount and slowly increase the amount taken. That’s how eating works, also how working out works. Don’t try to run when you can’t even walk.

Raw milk for the win! People have been drinking raw milk straight from their cows, sheep, and goats for millennia. Raw milk has long been one of the most nutritionally-complete foods in the human diet and an integral component of nearly every culture’s cuisine. In today's super-sanitized, germophobic and technologically advanced world, raw milk is irrationally demonized for various reasons. Dairy, especially cow dairy, can indeed be problematic for a lot of people. However, dairy derived from goats, sheep, or buffalo is much more gut- and immune-friendly due to the chemical structure of casein (milk protein) it contains. On top of that, many individuals who normally are lactose intolerant often find that they can tolerate raw milk just fine. These people actually have a pasteurization intolerance, not a lactose intolerance. A reason that this happens is that raw milk naturally contains the enzyme lactase and specific probiotic species, like Lactococcus, Lactobacillus, Leuconostoc, Streptococcus and Enterococcus which break down lactose, a disaccharide found in milk, into galactose and glucose, which are digestible, simple sugars. Raw milk has for decades been well-regarded in health circles due to its unique health-promoting benefits:
    • Raw milk provides readily-available nutritional elements our body needs for repair and regeneration, including easily-assimilable proteins and fats in their whole, unprocessed, unadulterated form.
    • The fatty acids in raw milk nourish the brain and intestinal lining, and upregulate mitochondrial function. Mitochondria are membrane-bound cell organelles that generate most of the chemical energy needed to power the cell's biochemical reactions.
    • Raw milk contains the enzyme phosphatase and other crucial enzymes necessary for the complete absorption of calcium, which are not present in pasteurized milk. That's why some research papers (falsely) link dairy consumption with the onset, rather than the prevention, of osteoporosis.
    • Naturally occurring beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in raw milk carry amazing benefits for our gut, immune and digestive health.
    • Raw milk is a perfect source of unheated, unoxidized cholesterol, fatty acids, and non-denatured proteins. Protein denaturing or protein denaturation is a change in the chemical structure of protein that occurs due to chemical effects. The most common source of protein denaturing is heat application, as happens in pasteurization and cooking.
    • Raw milk is nature's perfect electrolyte drink. It contains large amounts of organic minerals, which nourish the body's organs, glands and tissues, provide intracellular hydration and optimize brain function.
    • Colostrum (first mammal's milk after birth), but raw milk as well, contain immunoglobulins / antibodies, and complement factors that upregulate immune function and provide major antimicrobial effects against a wide range of pathogens.
    • People with bone-related conditions, like bone spurs, osteopenia and osteoporosis, notice their condition significantly improving or completely disappearing after a few months of daily ingestion of fresh, raw milk.

Modern fruit have been selectively grown for generations. Many with seeds most likely genetically modified to give certain characteristics. Characteristics of colour, shape, lack of seeds and most importantly sweetness. The body doesnt distinguish between the sugar source, all it knows is that sugar is coming in. So if its from a sweet plum or coco pops, it doesnt care if it is 'natural' - nothing everything natural is good for you. Yes the plum may have some fibre attached, but that doesnt detract that you are taking in a high amount of sugar in one shot.

The pasteurisation process harms the majority in the long run, all to the benefit of the dairy industry 'SALES' and 'PROFIT' margins.
If mothers fed their babies' the correct milk (from the breast) that is specifically meant for them, at the appropriate stage, then there would be no problem and no requirement for consuming animal milk, as you can get ample calcium from other natural food sources as an adult.
