I think it's important to remember that Steven Gundry's opinion, as the promoter of the controversial lectin-free diet, is pretty biased.
There is no actual clinical evidence that a lactose diet is to blame for any kind of disease. Just hypotheses based on inconclusive evidence.

That brand "A2" also has a green carton for their grass-fed version. Also, it's all ultra-pasteurized and that means the fat globules are rendered so tiny by the high heat (which causes the milk to be homogenized along with pasteurized) that they can easily slip through the gut lining and cause inflammation regardless of the fact that it's A2 protein.

    • @Nete-vb4xo

@@Nete-vb4xo If what you usually drink for A1 is pasteurized, not ULTRA-pasteurized, that might be it (ultra-pasteurized is also ultra-homogenized and that means the fat globules are so tiny they can go through the gut lining and cause inflammation).. Or, if there's some kind of GUM or other ingredient for mouth feel in the A2 half and half that could be it, too. The protein itself isn't the issue,; A2 is easier to digest than A1, but there are other factors to look at.

    • @Nete-vb4xo

@@Nete-vb4xo The A2 protein is produced by certain breeds of cows and doesn't imply anything about their care or feed, sadly. The company "A2" does have a grass-fed A2 milk (in a green carton, not the ubiquitous red one), but I've yet to find an A2 half and half I'll use. I'm getting used to black coffee, LOL.

    • @Nete-vb4xo

@@allhimwithme5115 We don't have the grass-fed A2 brand around here yet, and just got the A2 half & half. I appreciate your input and will watch for the green carton! As far as coffee, it's said that drinking it black or with grass-fed butter in it, is best. Something about milk/cream in it is a bad combo. I'm not a coffee drinker due to the lectins in it and the flavor. 😟

So there's definitely more going on there preventing that or the igf-1 is just not orally usable by the body.

From Oatly website: "All of our US products are certified gluten-free by GFCO (The Gluten-Free Certification Organization). What about glyphosate? Our oatmilk is certified glyphosate residue free by The Detox Project. As part of this certification, we submit our finished oatmilk to a qualified third party lab on a random, quarterly basis to have it tested for glyphosate residue, so we’re able to ensure that our oatmilk is fully compliant with the specifications for glyphosate residue free products."
