had the same probleme reset the modem with the reset button for 30 sec.... then find how to go in you're cmd enter this 1 by 1 (enter for each) space and everything reset you're pc netsh winsock reset netsh winhttp reset proxy netsh winhttp reset tracing netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ipv4 reset catalog netsh int ipv6 reset catalog i dont know what that does but its work for me xD
Ja'Stavious Gladney ooh it’s easy if u don’t have a cd or the the thing to put the cd in find another computer and search your motherboard later if u see the download button click it and choose the drivers to install the main one is the lan driver it’s easy to install later connect the usb to your pc and download it

Exactly. I had this problem and tried everything and eventually had to bite the bullet and reinstall windows. I almost had it fixed with cmd. prompt when ipconfig /release actually showed me ip addresses and then /renew said NOPE. I blame google search for telling me to uninstall the windows update... dont do that, it was hell without the files in that update.

Ok people, I just recently fixed my problem and everything that these vids been telling us didn't work for me but what did work for me is quite simple. I simply removed the Ethernet port from my modem/ router and placed it in a different slot and did the same with the adapter if you guys use that and it worked. My issue was that I had WiFi and cable working but not the internet that's directly from the Ethernet wire so i knew it wasn't a issue with the modem/ router or outside service. I did think maybe my Ethernet wire wasn't working but that didn't seem to be the case.

Guys just put the cable into another port and look for the correct one, try restarting your WiFi as well. Trust me this works don’t do all this extra stuff that is unnecessary ⚡️

Well, thank you pal. First thing really help me. Interface is some different now but I found and uncheked 'Turn on fast startup' (in Additional power section), restarted computer and after that have got Internet access.
This video has one of the most views so ill comment here. If nothing works dont assume its a hardware problem,just be patient and wait. It can be your isp, so you then have to wait. Dont panic, because i did for nothing. If it still doesnt work after 2 days then panic.
I tried this with windows 10 and it didn't work for me, but i got it to work with a few extra steps. The real game changer is even more simple. Turn off your router AND your modem for 2min+ and turn it back on (don't turn off your PC, leave it on). Then turn your modem and router back on and let your PC get the IP address automatically. Note: My problem was not being able to use my Ethernet connection from my PC to my modem. It is working now.
Didn't work, and in fact, caused a worse problem I think. I followed the video steps and uninstalled the Network adapter driver and restarted my PC but Windows installed a Network Adapter driver that I don't recognize, and now when I troubleshoot my internet problems, my PC has the fucking audacity to tell me to "Plug an Ethernet cable in". So now I have to figure out why my PC doesn't even detect a fucking ethernet cable.
If you have a PC not a laptop just remove all the cables and put them back .I had this problem so much. I suffered from this 2 days and it said that Ip configuration code is valid .Just unplug all the cables to your pc and put them back and the problem is fixed.Just tried it and i am shock that it worked ( Btw i have windows 10 Home)

Noone of this worked for me,I reset the router and I'm getting no internet to the pc but Wi-Fi works.Edit: what worked for me after i spend hours searching for a fix but at the end it was the cable not properly connected,as someone suggested to try and see if the cables are fully connected in another video,i was like no way that fixes it cuz i was pretty sure that everything was connected just fine.Im not saying this will fix the problem for a lot of other people but it is worth giving it a try even if you are sure that everything is connected properly like i thought.In the end sometimes the easiest solutions are the dumbest ones

guys the best way to fix it is to install all the drivers for your new old pc update it by using another pc to download it by putting in the motherboards name and finding its newest drivers

If you still have this problem after all the steps shown check if you have entered your ISP provided username and password when you go to setup new connection at control panel -> network and sharing connection
I kept calling today spending 9 hours (no exaggeration) trying to resolve this issue and still got no results, aside from buying a wireless adapter too. I don't know whats going on, so I called again, got my 2nd technician appointment for tmr... hopefully it gets fixed :/
Went network and internet settings, and clicked on status and in the bottom i clicked the network reset. Everything was solved. Till then, i did all the things they said in various youtube videos but to no avail.
My conection dies i ghet that error then repairs on it's own! So the wire is not the problem or the windows! Got another modem from the company and the same well i guess i will change the internet company so see what happens!

So what worked for me was to restart the router then move my Ethernet cable 1 step on the router and it worked!
I do this but every time I start my pc it does the same thing and it gets annoying

The menu is a little different in 2021 than it is in this video but it works.

My conection dies i ghet that error then repairs on it's own! So the wire is not the problem or the windows! Got another modem from the company and the same well i guess i will change the internet company so see what happens!
Using this video i found put that a small chunk of my moden and ethernet cablr melted from the tight space that it was in so thank you for helping me prevent a possible fire
I have did all of this and it still wont work I have no clue what has happened my pc has worked with an etherent cable before it has only started happening when I got an etherent cable extension
