    Did my Aygo with it on the drive with a plastic sheet under it. The car was so narrow it didn't need jacking. Very therapeutic and knowing it won't rust. Highly recommend Lanoguard to anyone who gives a toss about their car.

      Any tips on doing this procedure on an nc mx5?
      Looking to do it in my 09 mx5 as well.
      Did you use a wiremesh to remove the existing surface rust before spraying it on? Or will just a pressure wash on the underbody to remove the dirt suffice?

    Received my 2x2ltr & grease & trigger gun. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ & 10/10.
    I coated underside of 2012 qashqai, ( notorious for surface rust ), looks amazing , I did the springs, sills and wheel arch liners ( plastic ) for a continuos look . I'm confidant with using the product, it cleans up a treat with regular detergent.
    Most important though, it's transformed the vehicles appearance & will now help preserve it , ready for the mot inspection in a few months.
    Used less than 750 ml, so many more applications in hand for the future..

    Great video, just ordered my first batch, am doing a systematic detail and treatment on my old Mercedes with pictures for the official MB club site. Will send them over when it is all done. Just wondered have you ever considered doing a small sticker or similar, one that could have a date written on. Treated my 16 year old Honda CR-V a week or so ago.
    Jet washed one day and spent the next scraping snd sanding off rust & flaky areas.
    I covered everywhere and really believe you need to take the wheels off to get a thorough job done - up into the wheel arches and covering the lot ( I did rear off axle stands, then the front) .
    Injected into sills and box sections .
    The CR-V is classed as an estate , so it’s a large vehicle.
    For this initial comprehensive treatment I used a full 4 litres of Lanoguard.
    I didn’t have much call for the grease or the bottle that came in my kit but the flexible trigger hose is fantastic, as is the injection lance.
    Do you need to wear a mask with it being none toxic?
    Thanks!

    • @Lanoguard

      Hi Lanoguard works well on hot surfaces because it doesn't evaporate. Works well on stainless steel exhausts too. It will burn off on areas that reach over 450 degrees. Lanoguard can be applied on top of painted surfaces, as it hermetically seals to the surface it is applied to. Ensure the paint is cured/dried to its final state before applying Lanoguard. In regards to the skid plates it is personal preference and removing them can allow better access to areas of the chassis. Hope this answers your questions

It is jet-wash resistant up to 3000psi, non-perishing, non-conductive up to 70,000 volts, non-flammable and heat resistant up to 450 degrees. Therefore, you can spray the complete underbody of your vehicle even the exhaust the only areas to avoid are the brake discs and pad and if going in the engine bay the fan belt. Warming the product in a bucket of warm water helps with application especially in cold weather. Is lanoguard just a protector or a rust converter? I wanted to paint and protect my car which has surface rust.

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  2 года назад

      Hi Barry
      Lanoguard protects and prevents. Lanoguard won’t convert existing rust per se, it will completely stop its further development.
      It will creep and bind underneath surface rust and create a barrier by hermetically sealing to the metal underneath stopping oxygen and water getting in. A side benefit of the natural chemical process that occurs when it hermetically seals to the metal, is that it does over time push any existing oxidation off. Making your surface look better over time, not completely rust free looking, but a little less rusty and the surface colour overall darkened down in colour. Hope this helps answer your question.

      Hi, thanks for your question - Lanoguard is a safe product to handle and to use. It is also non-harmful to animals or the environment, jet-wash resistant, non-perishing, non-conductive and non-flammable. It is safe to use on rubbers, plastics, and metals without any issue - so no masking up is needed, but the areas to avoid are the brake discs and pads, so we would suggest covering them while spraying areas near them. How long does this stuff last on the car? Is it an annual process?

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  Год назад +2

      Hi, Lanoguard has been designed as an easy to apply once a year regularly applied coating. And which you can simply apply as part of your regular car care routine. You can apply Lanoguard coat on old coat, which makes it very easy to do a top up and when you apply a coat on a previous coat, that new coat affords more protection than just an initial first coat, so you are building up deeper protection. However, if you do not top up yearly, then the efficacy of Lanoguard is affected. Ultimately, it is ultraviolet and exposure to oxygen that will break the surface of Lanoguard down and weaken Lanoguard ‘s ability to maintain all its technical features and properties, such as self-healing non-cracking, acid and alkaline and petro resistance, waterproof properties and all the other features which makes Lanoguard effective. All this said Lanoguard will go on to protect the vehicle beyond 12 months but for how long and what properties remain intact we could not really quantify or state. Therefore, we suggest topping up yearly. Hope this answers your question.

      @Lanoguard  2 года назад

      Hi James, thanks for the comment. Yes Lanoguard can be applied over pre-existing under seal. All that is needed prior to applying the Lanoguard is a jet-wash, remove any loose/flaking rust and poorly adhered underbody treatments. Wait for the vehicle to dry and make sure the previous underseal is cured to its final state, then apply the Lanoguard straight over the top of it. Do regularly check any areas where existing under seal products were prior to Lanoguard being applied over top, to ensure any old coating areas haven’t come off which could potentially take Lanoguard with it. The best way to clean the sprayer is either with our Lanoguard Remover and Gun Wash or warm soapy water and then rinse through with warm water. I hope this answers your questions, I hope you get the ok from indoors and please do let us know how you get on.

    Doing this without treating the rust first is a waste of money and time. You have to go over the whole underneath of the motor with kurust or equivalent. Let that dry and then give it underseal/weatherproof. Also the inside of the sills chassis rails and wings are a must. Your also better removing the bumpers

    • @Lanoguard
      @Lanoguard  2 года назад +1

      Hi John, Lanoguard is actually great for chassis with surface rust. Lanoguard completely hermetically seals to the surface below rust. It doesn't remove rust per say, but it stops the rust dead. You don't need to remove surface rust prior to Lanoguarding as its creeps below surface rust sealing to the metal below. Lanoguard displace all moisture and oxygen, protecting the surface. Just make sure any flaking or loose bits of rust are removed. Lanoguard over time will push off oxidation too, so it will improve and nourish the surface in the long term. You may find this blog we have written about using Lanoguard on a rusty vehicle of interest - www.lanoguard.co.uk/blogs/news/using-lanoguard-on-very-rusty-vehicles We spent a long time developing a 360 Injector Wand which is designed for box sections, sill and those hard areas to reach - here is a little video with more information and showing how the 360 Injector Wand works - ruclips.net/video/FI75Y6ZR7Ck/видео.html. I would not go as far as to say it`s a waste of time and money, Obviously it`s better to do this type of thing in the summer, Thus it`s warm enough outside to sand corrosion and apply some paint, But it you give it a really good wash under the vehicle, And apply this product, It should help, I have watched the " Car Focused " White Ford Fiesta ST video using this " Lanoguard " He did not have the advantage of a hydraulic vehicle lift, Just car ramps, But he seemed to manage it, The reason I think it`s not a waste of time and money is it`s not one of those discredited tar paint type underbody products, Those are notorious not just because the just hide and encourage rust by trapping water, They require extensive preparation, This is just some sort of soft wax type product, That is brushed on or lightly sprayed on
