Brilliant Vid Dom, I had the bottom of my car sandblasted and painted a couple of years ago and a few new bits put on which i note are starting to rust! will certainly be doing this in the summer on some of the underside, thanks for explaining how to do it and the links, very, very useful. Si
Thanks buddy, thats a shame to hear things are already perishing, not surprised though given winter conditions here. Its quite a simple process and best of all it can be done laying down.... does get much easier 😅
I really like Neutarust, very easy to use, sticks well, no smell. Only converter i use these days. I usually paint the whole area as is a sticky primer also.
Great video as always. As per Pete comment very timely. I think the rust converter is awesome. I did find for ease when doing on driveway. Simmones tough black was great product gloss or matt ideal for use after rust convertor and dries quickly couple coats solid job used it on the kia front end was still shinny 10 months later just jet was mud etc
Great video. I've used a cheaper tanic acid converter on a house radiator and it only lasted 6 months before the rust came back. I'm kind of in the camp of using a rust remover now, i.e a phosphoric acid base. What are your thoughts.
Dom have I hit the Audi TT paint jackpot with a black roofed 225 in LZ4U Flieger Blau (Lilac silk (Matt finish) Blue)? Certainly I’ve been searching the inter web for similar and I’ve found 1 on Copart, auction ended.
@@TheParrottBros it's good, similar to the one you're using but I think you can paint over it quicker, something like 4 hours if i remember. Check out their deox-c rust remover for smaller items, you submerge them over night and next morning all the rust has dissolved, great stuff. 👍🏻
Nice video yet another job to tackle on the TT but well worth the time as will definitely help protect the underneath 👍🏻
Absolutely could not agree more, very rewarding both now and in years to come
Great timing Dom with another great vid! I’m away to do all my underside once I get fans and front shock replaced 👌
That is well timed, hopefully it spurs a few on to get under their cars and have a look / get it done before it goes too far.
@@TheParrottBros Absolutely, I've taken mine off the road for winter to this job and a few others so this was very helpful 👍
Look forward to hearing updates on how you get on with the winter works
Great vid Dom, another thing to add to my To Do list 😄👍🏻
Thanks and sorry, im sure that list is getting no shorter haha

Thanks for another great vid Dom
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

Thats good, you could also. hit it with the clear wax after to level up the protection if you wanted
Nice video Dom. I used the clear lanoguard on my one just to protect it for temp as what to do full refurbish subframe.
Some quality how-to! My subframe needs a good going over, could probably do with sorting my bushes too (advice always welcome there!)
Thanks buddy 😎, i think 95% of all uk TT's need this sooner rather than later haha, always welcome to drop me a whatsapp and we can talk bushes
@@TheParrottBros Cheers dude!
Great video and helpful advice 👍
Glad it was helpful! appreciate the comment
Awesome video approached mate, been alittle apprehensive about doing this kuself but definitely gonna give tuis a go 10/10
Glad you found it informative, thats what i wanted it to be, well worth doing 😎
Perfect timing with that video, I want to do my rear subframe in the winter. For the front one, I bought a new one for 120€.
Happy days, it’s such a simple process just time consuming. Worthwhile for sure
@@TheParrottBros very time consuming did my rear knuckles a year ago 😅 but like you said, I hope to keep it on the road for a long time
You'll thank yourself next mot im sure haha thats my hope anyway
Thank you for video got told my subframe is bit rusty instead of paying loads ill try this 👌
Awesome, prevention is better than cure :)

Any recommendations on garages who would carry out this work? Hopefully in the NW. Thanks.
Tt spares in Crewe would prob be your closest mate,
THanks very much@@TheParrottBros
Hi when is the next kit car video coming ?, very informative video
Hopefully we will be filming a first start video this week or early next week :)

Merci oui H&R et Bilstein sont super 👌. Le sous châssis , je pense que oui.👍.
Hello great vid. Bro, Why are the holes in the chassis of my Audi Tt Mk1 not fixed, do they have some kind of movement, is that normal?
It's normal, it is just the way they are pressed and made it could be for accessories to drain water et cetera as they are not cast so not solid
@@TheParrottBros Thanks for the answer. Your videos are amaizing!!
What are these suspension springs ???
Springs in video on my car are Bilstein b14's
Degrease before applying the rust converter
Great tip!
Bilt hamber Hydrate 80 rust converter is a lot cheaper, around £25 for a litre.
Awesome, what's it like to use?

Ooo i've seen a video where they have put bolts and brackets into that and the results are mad!
Why that beard? I associate it with IS sorry. I can't watch you without thinking about Talibans
Thats because that workshop is in Kabul, he has another channel where he shows you how to make AK47's out stuff you find in the kitchen...very useful
It says you have been subscribed to the channel for 3 years, surely the beard isnt a surprise to you? i like to think im keeping it cave man
@@TheParrottBros 🤣...Dom you need a beard emoji this is the best i could do🧙♂
