*_What an amazing video! I have never seen anything like it. I can't imagine how much time went into restoring it, let alone your skill and talent. Bravo!_*
That was a challenge. glad you like using gear pullers so often, most people just bang or pry pieces apart. For the gas tank, maybe coarse sand and small ball bearing ( slingshot ammo ) filled 3/4 sealed and rotated for a day would work, or a paint shaker then rust remover??
@@davidhamm5626Well, I still do find generator load tests interesting. I mean you slowly bring up the load, you maybe adjust the carb, governor sensitivity, rpm... measure the volts, hertz, total harmonic distortion... seing the signwave, how clean the output is... you see, if done properly (like "James Condon" or "Small Engine Mechanic" Mike does it) it is very interesting and there is a lot more to see than glowing lightbulbs.
@@v-g-z3689I have never seen any of the above people and/or their work. I guess having 'scopes ,frequency counters, carbon piles, a nice shop to work in, and a large budget, allows other people to live vicariously through the effort. But, to me at the end of the day, I just want my 1/2" Milwaukee hole hawg, to punch a few holes.
@@davidhamm5626That is understandable. I can highly recommend their channels, they do great work in restoring vintage and modern power equipment, especially generators :)
Looks like the electrolysis took most of the internal rust. I start choking with the dust from your sandblasting. Aluminum must have a primer to properly bond.
it became obvious why it was seized. I is because it was ran most it's life with castor oil in the fuel as a lubrication, and when castor oil is left for a long time it solidifies and becomes crystals seizing the piston in place hence why it looked so dirty in it and the rings were stuck

The output on this genset is very old and was not very level when new. All that ancient circuit board might keep the voltage and cycles per second in a groupset of sort of good.
Thank you for the longer video. I appreciate it.

Excellent job, well done.
Amazing job done, amazing video! Thanks!!
These kinds of things are more interesting, we hope it continues :)
Very nice restoration 😊
Awesome ingenuity!
Beautiful job. I love the look of old machines like this.
Nice work. That fuel tank was disgusting. You did well to get the rust out. 👍
Wow.. that Carb had seen better daysGood video! No f*n Music, Profanity or fast forward..
Well done Greetings from Germany
Great job! very through restoration.🙂🙂
Nice work my man ! 👍🏻 Hello from USA 🇺🇸
Jolie travail
Nice restoration ! Greetings from Arizona USA you have the fuel filter reversed , magnet goes on inlet side !
Something different, nice.just continue doing what you do best.good video.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Up there with Hand Tool Rescue, greetings from Ontario, Canada.
amazing work!!

Interesting and technical video ❤
Nice work
Well Done
Repair is excellent .
Nice restoration, how old was that motor?
When was it produced, I mean the year of production??
Excelentmy friend

Not bad for a classic 2 stroke generator
I really like the colour ❤❤ can i know the code or color mane please
Part two for power box👍
well done.
Grinding the cylinder wall? Picking up pieces while nickel plating with a metal tool?
Good job!
how old this?
Is this engine made in china?
Any power output ?
any power input?
it is amazing
Looking good! Now I´d like to see a proper (full) load test of this machine of equal lenght to this video please.
Why would you like to see that? watching a bank of light bulbs glow, is right up there with paint drying, and moss growing !

I think they maded that for military short time use bc they used a 2stroke engine to make it lighter and that thing have a strange power plug
Looks like the electrolysis took most of the internal rust. I start choking with the dust from your sandblasting. Aluminum must have a primer to properly bond.
Electrolysis is "line of sight" You really need an electrode INSIDE the tank for it to work well. INsulated from the tank electrically of course.
Thats a neat little generator. Your fuel filter is on backwards.
If this intake screen was paired with an oiled coffee filter it might make the rings last longer.
Good job, but please pay more attention to the small details, it could be a 100 but you leave it at 90.
Missing wing on flywheel/fan miraculously reappears for re-assembly.

I hope you asked for a decent bit of money: there was NOTHING on that engine that wasn't completely rusted/corroded!
Why paint stripper if you’re going to sand blast? Replacement media is cheap.
the guy forgot the cylinder gasket

Ignorant is why. 😂

Good
To clean a tank, just put pea gravel (or a bunch of old nuts, bolts, etc) and an ounce of WD40 in it and shake it for an hour.
Restoration great but not gonna lie, dont like the color, old one looked like... everyone know 😂 but new one isn't that much different.
Looks like a Chinese copy of a Soviet Copy of a German Generator.
Horrible colour choice
This is so fake, it’s just missing the bit where you “found” it in the bushes on the side of the road while riding your bike.
