(Oh, oh, oh, oh, wah-ah-ah, oh, oh, oh, oh
Earth angel, earth angel
Will you be mine?
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
Earth angel, earth angel
The one I adore
Love you forever and ever more
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you
I fell for you and I knew
The vision of your love-loveliness
I hoped and I pray that someday
I'll be the vision of your hap-happiness oh, oh, oh, oh!
Earth angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you-ou-ou
I fell for you and I knew
The vision of your loveliness
I hope and pray that someday
That I'll be the vision of your happiness
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh , oh, oh, oh
Earth angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I'm just a fool
A fool in love with you-ou (you, you, you)

In September of 1986 I surprised my wife with this song. She had called me at work and told me that she was expecting our first child. When she got home that evening I had turned the lights down low. I was there at that prom. This dude. He looked similar to my buddy George, whom I still talk to today. He played this and a new track. He was ill at first but then he recovered instantly. Then it happened. He starts playing crazily and kicks over the amps. Sure enough, my kids followed in his footsteps
Just found this song recently, I love the way he says "earth angel". It's so satisfying to hear, his voice is just lovely
THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT ABSOLUTELY TIMELESSY ROMANTIC. Only about singers have done it. Even the tongue in cheek Tiny Tim couldn't mess it up on The Ed Sullivan show. He managed to hit the high notes. We all remember when Marvin Berry, Chuck Berry's "cousin" belt it out in "Back to the Future' and he did it pretty well. To the teens who have commented how they like this kind of music, and wish it came back. Good news- the music is still around. But you have to track it down. We were spoon-fed this music back then, as stations still do. But it's out there, waiting to be found. I'm sure there are forums that will offer suggestions.
I was born in 1950. I grew up with this music, and hated it in my teens. But with age, comes nostalgia. It's inescapable! I came back around to much of the 50's and 40's music. It's like comfort food for the soul. (not that I listen to a lot of it...)
+Jon Doeringer Talk about nostalgia. Early on this year, out of no where, I got this strange nostalgia for baseball cards. I happened to see an ad on E-bay for some unopened wax packs from 1991, the same year I began collecting as a kid. I bought them and I was hooked! To make a long story short, I spent a few paychecks getting all the 80's and 90's junk wax that I always wanted as a kid and I finally was able to forgive all of my childhood heroes for playing on steroids.
I bet if you got nostalgic for baseball cards from your childhood, that would be one expensive case of Nostalgia. But the greatest cards of all time none the less!

You don't hear vocal harmonies like this in today's music!
So true ...
Claudette Preisinger mumford and sons.
Claudette Preisinger yes you do though. I'm guessing that you don't listen to much of today's music.
yeah mumford and sons
Every once in awhile I hear one of today's songs that I actually like, but for the most part I prefer the music from the 50's through 80's
It’s been 15 years and still this lives on we love this❤❤❤❤
This is for my girl, sang the year I was born. Thanks guys for a timeless classic. God bless all of you.
Earth Angel, earth angel
Will you be mine?
My darling dear, love you all the time
I'm just a fool, A fool in love with you
Earth Angel, earth angel
The one I adore
Love you forever, and evermore
I'm just a fool, A fool in love with you
I fell for you and I knew the vision of your love, loveliness
I hoped and I prayed that someday
I'll be the vision of your hap-happiness
Oh oh Earth Angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear, love you all the time
I'm just a fool, A fool in love with you
I fell for you and I knew the vision of your loveliness
I hoped and prayed that someday
That I'll be the vision of your happiness
Earth Angel, earth angel
Please be mine
My darling dear, love you all the time
I'm just a fool, A fool in love with you

Remember hearing this song from Back To The Future, what a great song
Still gives me chills
The song that changed music.
It makes me feel an upwelling of emotion in my chest. And i can feel a bit of pressure behind my face as my eyes threaten to spill over with tears.
It's such a beautiful song that it makes me want to cry!
My grandma on my dad's side is born in 1946 and this is the earliest song to date that she heard that was memorable, she was just six. Her parents and older sister would sing this song almsot all the time when the song came out. Then she started listening to the rock and roll a year later.
I'm 867 years old and this brings me back to Christopher Columbus days
Indefinite Edits damn u old
Remember cholera? Good times.

I was born during the Cretaceous period and it pains me to see what music is being made today

My grandfather was at a school dance when this song played. He said some kid in a life preserver was really rocking out on the guitar.
Was that kid named Calvin Klein by any chance?
Enchantment under the sea dance- 1955, I danced with my future husband to this song ❤️❤️

@@steamboatwill3.367 Yeah, the bad side of the 50s
Since this is the latest comment I'll say that when I wanted to hear a great 50's song I thought of my favorite Penguins
I was but a boy when I heard this song long ago... These classics installed in me the traditional values of love and adoration. I still sing it to my beloved wife of 14 years.
Perfect song for we blessed folk...
I’m such a sucker for these kinds of old songs.

so good
I rewatched the entire trilogy yesterday. I love Back to the Future so much
I'm 16 years old and I wish I had lived in the days when the music was as good as this!
same....... ;-;
You don't want to have lived in the 1950's.
Chy Sayeh Why?
Russell Tyson I don't have time to give you a history lesson so I'll just say: segregation, a push for conformity, Jim crow laws, domestic abuse being totally okay and not a crime, sexism, no phone lines, no highways, and more. There's also plenty of music that sounds like this that is made today. Just because Motown was more popular at that time doesn't mean there aren't Motown bands out there right now.
...Being scared of getting nuked 24/7 ,but yeah, song its amazing and thats what a good song do,make you go back in time to an specific moment in time
The fifties. A shame we'll never see another time like it.
music from the 50s to the 90s was the best
1montrealfan Most definitely.

I remember standing on my dad's feet and him dancing me and my sisters around the living room to oldies music. ✨🤗❤️
Then he would dance with my mother.
I remember that. Really sweet memory 🤗❤️

One of the greatest songs of the rock n roll era, and of any era-all time.
