@Steve Stevens ohh the music gets me down to my tears, but man believe there was racism in this time. You can read Ray Charles’ autobiography Brother Ray (wonderful book) and you’ll see. But whatever bad times there are just keep on singing and the world’ll soon become a better place
@@arnassimaitis2105 I'm sitting here right now with tearing eyes. Bad times for almost everybody throughout the years and ages, including my Mexican 'abuelos' from way back right here in el ciudad de Los Angeles. But this video, damnit....music produced and loved right here in the USA. It's a tear-jerker for sure.
Why do you people always default to this whenever you see a white and black person do anything together? Can’t it simply just be: “just two great performers showing us how to entertain”? Because not EVERYBODY is/was prejudice.
@@MoSco5000 Thank you. Just two performers singing together. Those who default to race and prejudice stating there wasn't any. Are just whitewashing history once again. There has always been racism, there will always be racism. A white person and black person singing together doesn't change that.
Both these guys are the best in my book. Thank you Buck Owens for writing this classic! Thank you Ray for having the most soulful voice I've ever heard!
A lot of times when two solo artist sing together their voices don't always blend very well.... But, Wow....Buck and Ray sound great together on the choruses..! They should have done a duets album....that would have been very cool....
I'm an old white man and I have always loved traditional country music and Ray Charles is probably my all time favorite singing. I have 20 to 25 favorite singers and at least 100 or more favorite songs.
what else do you need to personify positive race relations than C&W legend Buck Owens with Mr. Soul Ray Charles in perfect harmony obviously enjoying every bar of this awesome duet? The world’s a better place that this exists; great post
“Absence makes the heart grow fonder” but “out of sight out of mind” has helped me get over a few headaches, it works, don’t chase after a failed relationship as the girl will hate you. I have heard so many stories which end in disaster, I am glad I never chased a girl no matter how much I wanted to and after watching one too many guys getting locked up after they did chase makes me glad I was too broke to chase as I can still smile and nod at an ex without seeing fear in her eyes which is the result of stalking an ex
Just seeing BUCK Owens my mind took me back to Bakersfield just like that ,yet seeing both Buck Owens and Ray Charles they told me There are more things that Unite us than what divides us. Amen Thank You Legends for all ya did for The Music industry
This is gold. So many songs by so many great performers, keeping us company. These guys are two of the best. Thx guys. You taught me how to have fun, and love music, and for that I will be forever grateful.
And me an Opera lover, Since 50’6!,❤ Curoso , Benjamino Jilly, Jusso Bjorling, Richard Tauber Vinyl Records, And Radio, That Time, My Fa their’s Wonderful Influence.Since Covid, all the Majical music And Songs coms flooding back. never really goes away❤, just more😊 time now to recall and enjoy, in my widowdhood, and trying my level best get my lovely Grand Sons,( who can all sing, like I could, and pick up on the magic, and the allurment of it all. so glad to have been born in 1941!,Happy childhood morals, and innocence at same time,And great parents!!. At going on 81years, coming near the end for me, I suppose, I hope iv’ done my bit, to pass on experience and love of ❤❤❤ of all good music Wonderful memories!!.❤50’ 60’ 70’, the best!!. Molly o Connell. Ireland.island of Saints and Scolars, for those who still lucky enough to recall times worth remembering, and to store away in our hearts.😊
One of the all-time greatest tearjerkers. Man, I miss these two entertainers. If you get a chance, listen to UB40's version of this classic country song. A little island vibe added makes it unforgettable.
Love this version best because Ray & Buck...are BUCK & RAY!! But Ray loved Buck's music especially as well as Country, he recorded 3(?) of his songs. However much I adore Ray's genius and I do, this duet with the Buckaroos backing them retains that sweet, sorrowful lamentation from Buck which I think highlights the soulfull, broken heartedness and "everyman" quality that Ray wanted to, and I believe did successfully, convey to squares & hipsters (aka lilly- white northern city folks) who were getting down man 😎 to the most God awful Folk, watered down Jazz-lite, and pretentious poetry readings!! The film "RAY" w Jamie Foxx is so well done and it doesn't sugar-coat how much of a a*"#@/e Ray Charles was & boy was he! Although most geniuses, revolutionaries, world-changers, etc are "difficult" "a hand full"🙄😣 especially if they're artists. The ones who are not are still equally gifted as they are cursed, Donny Hathaway, Vincent Van Gogh, Lord William Wilberforce. Oh well enough of my blather, check out Buck when Don Rich was still alive, may he rest in peace, and the Buckaroos on the Jimmie/Jimmy Dean show, they were on fire! Peace, Regan
I can't believe I got too hear that song again. When I was a little girl I always remember my mom n dad some times would have dance n the house n my dad he loved too dance n once n a while would have a couple drinks n they would put records on the player n before you knew it their would be the Song It's Crying Time Again. It was one of my parents favorite records. I'm 61 now an it's one of my best memories of my parents dancing to that beautiful song. Thanks for the memory. Tina Violanti
Ole Buck is hearing up close what what a musical legend Ray C. truly is. Years later Ray & Willie teamed up to cut a record, If you see the video. Notice how Willie is in awe of Ray also!
I don’t know the views of either of these guys and right here it doesn’t matter but damn this is not only beautiful music but a good statement. Plus love of music and each other overcomes a heck of a lot.

I like so sing along. I think I'll make this a trio, so:- Oh, it's cryin' time again, you're gonna leave me I can see that far away look in your eyes I can tell by the way you hold me darlin', ooh That it won't be long before it's cryin' time Now they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder ( And that tears are only rain to make love grow Well, my love for you could never grow no stronger If I lived to be a hundred years old Oh, it's cryin' time again, etc Now you say you've found someone that you love better] That's the way it's happened every time before And as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow Cryin' time will start when you walk out the door
Dynamite duet on a great song. I'm looking for another classic live rendition of "Crying Time" - - it one was from a Canadian TV show, sung by SYLVIA TYSON and LUCILLE STARR. [Can some kind person post it??]
Hee-Haw was a respected program by musicians and actors, mainly because of Buck Owens and Roy Clark. There are some very important musical appearances that happened on that show
Buck Owens and Ray Charles singing together.
I can die happy now.
Loved the way Buck kept patting Ray on the back. Such genuine caring. Those two greats sure found their groove on this song. Outstanding!!!

Wow. So good. Nothing today compares to this kind of talent and music.
Beautiful. If Ray and Buck can get along [beautifully] maybe the rest of us can too.
I agree with that, I pray I live to see that day.
Buck *loved* Ray Charles and his music. He was a big fan--as was Don Rich.
I'm an old white man and I have always loved traditional country music and Ray Charles is probably my all time favorite singing. I have 20 to 25 favorite singers and at least 100 or more favorite songs.
I believe Ray Charles shoulda been declared a National Treasure. He enhances all singers he accompanies.
In my book, he is an national treasure. He was one of the early voices for Black people rights. RIP to Buck Owens and Ray Charles.
It made me cry remembering how much I miss these two, they were both King's of their talents, God bless them both.
what else do you need to personify positive race relations than C&W legend Buck Owens with Mr. Soul Ray Charles in perfect harmony obviously enjoying every bar of this awesome duet? The world’s a better place that this exists; great post
Classic , classic performance from two music giants
Two great souls from different backgrounds joining in genuine harmony in a beloved song. May God bless their memory.
