I think this is the first time as a 21 year old that I’ve ACTUALLY listened to Dolly personally since I was a little toddler in foster care, and for some reason I burst into tears? This song isn’t even sad. It’s just her voice, the melody, the rhythm, and the nostalgia all blended together literally brought me to tears.

So lets assume Jolene was around the same age, she may well have been at the bank when this came out. Hope Dolly still had her account there by this time.
