if Tobias is making a movie, coinciding with his lore, i am DEFINITELY watching it.
I was in the crowd at the Forum for both nights and it was awesome . Didn’t care at all that I couldn’t have my phone .
I'm so excited about this, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Literally the only people who would try to shame you are Facebook commenters who think Godsmack is “real metal”
Ayyy that's pretty cool. We kind of need more of this in the rock world. Bands making movies. I think its awesome
I love Ghost. Can't wait to see what they come up with for this movie. I've done 2 VIP meet and Greets, Seen them 5 times. I totally agree with Tobias. Phones/Cameras have no business being out during a concert unless you are a certified photographer hired by the crew. I never take mine out anymore. I like to look up the photographer, then share their work after the show. It's their job to photograph the band, how cool is that?! Credit to photographers!
Bands like the Beatles and Floyd ,etc, were always making movies, animation, performance art and all kinds of stuff. Honestly, whether I like the music or not, I love seeing bands that create a world of their own. That's how it should be.
I was at the Forum show and the cell phone ban was honestly no big deal and made it a great experience!
I don’t care what anyone says, we NEED a slipknot movie especially since Clown is a director, I feel like he could definitely cook up something special
I can't wait to see what the movie will be like. As for the cell phone thing, I can see both sides. On the one side, I take millions of pics. I'm a photographer, and I have some memory issues due to chronic illnesses. So when I saw Ghost at the Barclay's in 2018, I took millions of pics. I did apologize to those around me, saying I'm a photographer and it was my first Ritual and I was just super hype. And they were chill about it. Plus, I was able to get pics from others when I gave him roses at the end. But as a musician and performer, I can see why he would want people to be present and not on their phones.
I usually record around 25% of each concert I go to because I have memory issues too (ADHD for me), but I get why bands don't like that. I try to keep a good mix of recording and living in the moment
I mean it is OK if you want to record a particular moment/song or some good photos as a memory of the experience, but if you spend the entire freaking concert on the phone you really weren't feeling it on a personal level (besides, most people that do that will never do anything important with those videos or photos other than occupy a big chunk of space in their phones)
Kiss did a movie called 'KISS meets the Phantom of The Park' in 1978 😁
Gene Simmons also did a movie or 2 back in the 80's.
It was bad lol. I watched it "live" on tv that night as a kid. Evenas a kid I was like..."what the heck is this cr@p"?
That WASN’T a theatrical release here in America, though.
Wore it out when I was a kid!
“KISS meets the phantom of the park” bro. It’s the original rock n roll band horror movie. It was terrible but amazing at the same time. I used to come home from school every day and watch it over and over until bed.
But what does Corey Taylor think about this
He probably wouldn't care. But at the same time, he would Probably buy tickets to see it when it comes out.
Hahahaha I enjoyed that very much thank you
I can't wait for this movie! I work in production and I love Ghost so much!!! And I also completely agree with the no phone rule. I only ever take out my phone for a few minutes on concerts.
Yes please. I'll gladly be an extra
me too
Excited since I am such a new fan. As for the phones, I get it, it's a distraction and it actually pisses me off when someone is holding a phone up during the entire show *but* if it wasn't for all of the footage that was shot and posted online I'm not sure I would have actually really gotten into this band. Watching the footage and seeing the spectacle really is what drew me in. Way back in the day I broke a camera or two sneaking it into a show.... At the end of the day, it's the band/artist decision and I will respect it. I am will patiently wait to experience a live ritual :)
Saw Ghost in Utah. Fan f'n tastic!!! Can.Not.Wait for the movie !!!!!!!!!!!!🤘❣
The Band had The Last Waltz…
The Who had The Kids Are Alright…
The Beatles, four movies…
Lynyrd Skynyrd had “Free Bird: The Movie” (even though most of the lineup didn’t get to see it)…
So, most of my favorite bands already have.
the Clash- "Rude Buy"
KISS- "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park"
Sex Pistols- "Great Rock n Roll Swindle"
The Who did a film version of Tommy. If you haven't seen it, DON'T. It's creepy AF. Tina Turner scared the crap out of me. To this day, I avoid anything involving Roger Daltrey like the plague.
My daughter my ex-wife and I were at the last show at the Kia forum and man I tell you that show was freaking amazing
Totally unforgettable
I will totally go see this movie
Kiss and the Phantom of the Park!
"Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park"
You're welcome 😁🤘
Agree...think they are just growing.
Rock feed Ghost keep up the great job🤘🌟🫶
Ghost fan here, and that sounds so cool about the movie. For me cell phones are ok when you are in seats, where the seat in front is lower than you, but when I'm in the pit, and people have their phones up blocking my view, I get pissed and hate it. If they do it a little bit for the memories that's fine, but not for the whole show. Slayer did the Repentless Killology, where they had movie elements, and then the concert. Didn't Metallica do one too? I don't know if the Ghost one will be like those or a movie movie. Anyways, excited!
Has to be an age-thing, I've been to a lot of concerts and me (and my age group) seem to be able to watch an entire show without the phone. Ok, a selfie perhaps or a snapshot of something to remember the show by, but that's going to happen in the beginning, befoore you get sucked into the magic of being at a concert. I wonder if it's because my generation wasn't born with a cell phone in hand. We grew up before those things made it into our lives? Give it a few generations and nobody will think twice about the phones.
The Forum isnt a big venue. It was once just a cinema.
Give Me a Volbeat Film!
I'd love to see some bands pull some movies or even just their own documenteries showing their life on tour. I'm With them when It comes to phones! I may take a few pictures but thats it. I go for the in the moment feeling. I don't want to sit there and look at a screen the entire time because why not just watch someone elses recording on youtube. People like to record the shows and I guess thats fine but I feel that hinders the experience.
I figured that's exactly what it was
I agree 💯 % no phones your enjoying a nostalgic history of heavy metal u go to bang your head dance move nd mosh not stand in one damn place holding a phone up w one or 2 hands ~ and it removes of course the band nd crowd interaction those moments are the ingredients for a moment of a lifetime ~☆~
Awesome! 🤘🏽🔥
I wouldnt mind phones being banned, free lockers at the entrance would be a good solution i guess. Maybe the band could offer a free drink in return as well. Most of the times rewarding people works out well
I rarely use my phone at concerts, I record a few minutes here and there but it think it takes away from your experience.
There’s a Deftones fan channel that takes peoples cell footage, edits it together and mixes the audio well enough to make concert “films”. Most people have cameras in our pockets capable of 4k/60fps so why not?
Heres my take on the phone thing. As long as people limit it to a degree (because there could be a situation where its overwhelming or may interfere with a part of the show), I wouldnt mind at all. They paid for the ticket, let them enjoy the show the way they see fit. I get paid either way. If bands are crying about any kind of phones being at the show, even for brief amounts of time, then it sounds like a ego thing to me in some ways. However, I can see in certain situations how it could be a nuisance or hindering to the performance in some ways. Otherwise, I get paid either way, I dont care and my ego isnt fragile, only my bank account!
Studio 666 was okay. It’s a scary movie for those who hate scary movies. Not too scary but still cool and kinda creepy. It made me want more movies from bands and it’s nice to hear this.
Kiss meets the phantom . Lordi even made a horror movie
yup
Ghost movie? I will definately watch!
So no concert release??? That’s a bummer.
Very cool and very understandable
You want a Kiss movie that dives into lore? Have you never seen PHANTOM OF THE THEME PARK?!
And all the people with E-tickets on their phone??
They took them after the ticket was scanned.
I knew it was something like this
Hell yes 👻🔥
I've liked Ghost since I saw them open for Deftones waaay back when. They're always a good time but they've taken a weird turn.
A little more Satan and a little less Liberachi would be quite welcome for the band going forward.
KISS did make a very crummy movie from the late 70`s called KISS meets the Phantom of the Park! Its so bad, its good!
i agree with Forge, i mean back in the day when phone cameras started to get good people made a few pictures and then put the phone away until maybe a few songs later when there was another opportunity for nice pics and thatś completely fine, but having people in front of you that film the whole show is pretty annoying, i´d rather see a ban on phones at shows than having to deal with those idiots, tickets aren´t cheap and spoiling everyones experience just to make a video isn´t great, also it isn´t the greatest experience to be the one filming, you cant throw up the horns, clap or even cheer too loud because it ruins the recording.
Manowar did the same last year when they played a few surprise gigs in germany and it was a great experience.
Wow, this is gonna be awesome: A wish will come true with this movie! 🎉❤
I hope we are going to be able to see Tobias in his costumes in cinemas all over the globe (at least in Germany, please 😂) and that we're going to be able to buy the movie online or on bluray--disc one day! Please also go on producing your official licensed costumes, where can I purchase the whole Papa Nihil-Costume, for example?
I'd also be glad about good comedy series of the band with all Papas and / or the Cardinal, depending on the era if he'd already be anointed to Papa Emeritus lV or not.
Or just think about nice comicbooks of the Clergy! 😊
But please always act and sing by yourself, Tobias, love you and your everlasting and clear voice 😍🥰
This means heaven in hell to me 😘😇👹
Thank you so much for this good news💋❣
Love Ghost
Can't wait for an actual INK film!
Kiss did "kiss meets the phantom of the park".
Wish they would focus more on music tbh
Interesting.
cool, its to bad, because cell phones being at a show gets the rest of us who can't afford to go to show, to see them live and enjoy, unless they play on making concert video, I also realize that it can be annoying for so many phones to be there,
Baseball had it solved until they put the screens up!
You can’t have screens in the ER, in court, class or in a movie theater or playhouse. Put your phones away please!
I always love to see any Band or band member making movies/ cameo !!! So this would totally be an awesome concept!! But a slipknot movie tho!!!nothing but gore baby!!! Lol
I wouldn’t mind if concerts banned cell phones. I do enjoy taking photos and filming clips though. But it does get annoying when the dude in front of you holding his phone up the whole time on Facebook Live. There was one drunk dude that kept filming and holding up his phone into everyone’s faces. He wasn’t even filming the concert 😂😂 he was literally just filming up very close up
I worked a concert at a local arena, not Ghost, and was watching the crowd for someone who was acting out. While watching I noticed how ridiculous it was for everyone watching the show through their phones. I never really paid attention to it so I really didn't have an opinion on it. But when you are given the job of not watching the show, but watching the crowd, it seemed pretty silly how disinterested the actual show is to the attendees if they aren't playing with their phones and tablets.
if they are making a movie Tobias Forge needs to write i, t, why because he has already come up with everything, also his mind set is like a few famous writers, Stephan King, Anne Rice will miss her books) that is a complimate to Tobias Forge which i have said before, the man is very very smart, I loved to see it
Almost every band used to do movies lol. You failed to mention phantom of the park also...😅
What ever happened with the lawsuit from his other band?
It was s settled long ago. Tobias won the case.
Kiss vs the phantom of the park? C'mon dude.
Good ban phones at all events
Soooooo they're the 21st century version of KISS Meets the phantom of the park.
Kiss Saves Christmas lol
I immediately thought of that lol
its just a concert movie isnt it? "just" a concert movie. sure its gonna be great!
Kiss meats phantom in the park ....
Lordi made Dark Floors
Oh please let this be true! Just not another concert movie. A real movie would be awesome.
You know who wont be featured? THE REAL GHOUL WRITER!
THIRTEEN GHOST!
I think a biopic for Metallica or Megadeth or any of the big four really would be so good, ngl. I'm personally not really into ghost music. I mean, some of it's ok, but if you asked me to name 3 songs off the top of my head, I couldn't tell you at all.
Screw that! They are trying to be like Joe Rogan and treat you like a kindergartner at a damn show. LOL
First like 👍🏾
One of the hottest bands on the planet yes but there's still a lot of people that don't even acknowledge them when I say goes through like who who are you talkin about and yeah it's f****** sad seriously sad so yeah whatever dude
Screw Corey Taylor. I just saw Ghost on their opening show of this tour. They're going to help save rock and roll.
Gwar has made several lore-centric movies. I swear, no love. Lol
Metallica movie would make millions
They made one already
@@heatherlapoint3132 that was a documentary. Totally different
Itll be more dinky and less cult classic compared to a rob zombie film.
I miss the old Ghost. Forge has turned this band into a joke
Ghost is better than it ever has been.
@@andrewvanhalen1984well that’s just not true!
Tobias is awesome. ♥️
We can only hope he listens somewhat. I still love them
@@mezmeralda1 listens to what?
Really don't give a shit about ghost.🤷
Pass. I can’t stand Ghost. Good visuals, bland music.
Ghost.... definitely not the hottest band on the planet. They are the weirdest band on the planet though. But at the end of the day, they do them, and that is paying off for them. This movie is just going to be a handicap kids version of disasterpiece in London by slipknot.
Never understood how this band is so popular. So very mediocre
Brilliant song writer
Their live shows rival 99% of touring bands out there. Even people that don't like their music can't deny that.
Ghost used to be good! But after meliora…….it all went downhill
Who are these losers that already think they deserve a movie… One of the worst things that happened to the rock world.
Kiss already make a movie and ghost suck lol
Great band. I'm a, was a, Metallica fan. Ghost is all about the crowd experience. Metallica have been playing different set lists, forcing fans to pay for two or three nights to here all the hit. Ghost, played em all. Plus Ghost actually showed up in Australia 🇦🇺
