Yes. Ghost, The Hives, Viagra Boys, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy are a couple of the great acts I could see in this video, so many more were in the room. Sweden loves rock / metal, and gives it proper appreciation and respect

And dont get me wrong, I think the right band won to, but I wont diminish the other hands impact and success of the other bands.
As a pro musician and American living in the USA I gotta say Swedish metal is way better than most American metal. I definitely listen to more Swedish metal than American metal.
Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish. Pretty much all European Metal is better than American Metal right now. I have not bought an album from an American band in years..
So why do you Scandinavians so often leave your country? At least Abba and Roxette stayed here. The european continent would also like to have some cool bands.
I agree that your Country has a proper rock tradition, and tons of great bands. And just imagine how many play for fun at home garage maybe one day they will have success. I enjoyed the time in Sweden and music culture is impressive.
All those bands were great, but the sheer unadulterated joy of Rock is expressed perfectly through Ghost. Ghost literally revived the dead and made Rock culturally relevant again. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, the pomp and grandeur of Freddie Mercury lives on through Tobias.

If there’s anyone who deserves all the awards in the world, it would be Ghost. Tobias has inspired me in ways i could’ve never imagined. He is what a real artist is. He took all of his dark and sad moments in his life and made them into something beautiful. I’m very proud of him👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Haven't cared so I haven't watched it, and I still think metal keeps getting fucked over no matter what award show, but there's a lot of cool people in the audience. Sebastian from Viagra Boys at the end there too, and Pelle from The Hives doing something big I'd want to see more of. It's nice to see. Also, fucking hilarious that Arch Enemy gets muted. Their copyright policing is ridiculous!

Ghost is interesting. The fact that they are able to classify as metal, yet, not be metal, somewhat ensures they will sweep every award possible. It's sort of a reverse catch-22. I love Ghost, don't get me wrong. I just find it curious what he's doing and how he is doing it.
