Like listening to music in that language, podcasts, movies with English subtitles, reading your favorite books in that language, writing a diary in that language can help you learn basic words you use often and you can keep track of your progress, (and then there’s always RUclips videos) It’s not hard, and I found it’s rather fun. I’m learning French btw, and it doesn’t feel like I’m learning anything but if I sit and think about it I’ve actually learned a lot very quickly. I think it’s been a week since I’ve started doing these things more often., (after taking a break for summer) and I’ve come so far already. You just have to expose yourself to the language as often as you comfortably can. I know no one asked for these tips or anything, but it’s late at night and I felt like typing a bunch of stuff out, and who knows maybe someone will find it a bit useful

At first I was offended because even though we all speak English, we still all have different accents and dialects depending on where we come from and they sound so distinctive to us. So it was always confusing to me when they would say you all sound the same….this is the perfect example of what they are hearing.
