Efren is indeed a legend. When you google pool players his name is always on top of the list. His talent is a gift, a very rare talent of precision and accuracy. I wish Philippines supported him by having an organization to train more young people to pass on his talents. I can’t believe at his age he still plays so good. No eyeglasses or hands trembling? Hands down to him

There can be only one. Sorry Chris, you were amazing, but Efren is the real Magician, always will be. No excuses for Efren, Melling won this fair and square, and played great. I doubt, however, that Reyes would have missed those two shots if he was a little younger, 64 is ridiculous to be playing anywhere near this level, but the eyes and the hands, you can't hide age there. The difference between those two at this point was consistency, and Melling was a machine in that aspect. Talent always fades, but Reyes still had the mind and could still make the ridiculous shots. Youth shall be served, though.

There is no need to compare as both are extremely ggood players it is just that the goat efren always able to conjure something magical when the odds are aginst him that what makes him so magical. Thr number of times it happens in his high level games and he manage to get him self out of the sticky situation is really incredible and really once in a life time. My best moment of him doing that is really when he is against the pearl, high stake game hill to hill and he manage to pot last 3 incredible shot in that situations is almost impossible.

There's not much to say except when two champions match up it comes down to who makes the fewest mistakes, plus who gets the best of any lucky rolls. In this case Chris showed why he has been the champion at this particular game - he makes it look so easy. For a student of the game one can see both players hitting with great speed control and great aim for pocketing balls. Efren's usual ability to avoid unforced errors left him a couple of times, and at this level of play that is all it takes to lose a match..

Bingo, says the commentator, as if he didn't know who is playing... It's just that a band run does it just as well or better, it's the Magician, unfortunately for me and with my low level, I look more like Melling than time to see how to make each move. He loses this game but Efrén never shows the great determination he has with that disheveled appearance, hehehehehe. You always had to remove the starting mark from the table and no judge removed it, I didn't like that. A simple mistake in this level and it's over, when you make two or three... Well done for Melling.

At he's time(prime) .When all things looks unfavorable, When odds are not with him that's the time he makes something out of nothing and that's the reason why he was titled the Magician.

This was a good match! Congrats to Melling. But it’d be a good thing to see who would win in a best of 3 games of a “race to nine”? And that would be a good barometer to measure who’s better and have more a decisive evident take

Efren Reyes is the Manny Pacquaio of billiards/pool as to Manny is the Michael Jordan of boxing. In short, "ThE GOATs"...at least for me!

That guy isn't a magician. Efren is the one and only. Haven't seen anyone to his caliber yet. No offense, but the title is kind of misleading.

U gotta stop taling about him as a geriatric. Im not a pro, i dont play in that many tournaments, but i play league and love the game. But 1 thing i know is dont underestimate older players women included. Ive had a 80+ year old man who can barely walk around the table kick my ass often.
Pool isnt one of thoae games you loose your senses. Power yes, ability to bend over as far yes and possibly sigth. But you only get better every shot, every game. Stop referring to him like hes this dinosaur that should be bed ridden.
    Good vid tho

Well plaid by both, Efren jus had some bad shots and in pool its crucial to be on your game. Jus gos to show even the best can't win them all. But his opponent was no slouch an jus had the better game that match.

Don't like the silly "reaction clips" you put in.. find them annoying enough to not watch or subscribe... sorry just my opinion
