    Any other APA players here? I’m a fairly new Apa player but have been playing in pool halls for years and years. This is may of 2024 and my second session of 9 ball and will be playing in my first tri cups this coming weekend and will be playing in singles in October to go to Vegas. And I wil admit, I wish I would’ve started playing Apa years ago. It’s fun, meet lots of new players and gives you a reason to keep your game sharp and continue striving to improve your game. And I still play in money tournaments bc, well, there’s nothing better than playing in a tourism d moving up bracket by bracket until you take the cash home. Great feeling

    Efren not complaining about a fan is no surprise. Yes Efren has as much class as any man but it probably didn't bother him as much as most guys. In the Philippines these guys play high level pool matches in rooms with a hundred guys hanging around the table. They play with humidity so bad they have piles of chalk on the actual rails and those people around the table may only be 3 feet away to the point players have to work around them to shoot so a little camera flash is nothing for a Filipino player.

Tyler Styer and Fedor both have robotic strokes because their fundamentals are absolutely perfect and they are very methodical with their set up. It’s something every player should emulate to master their stroke. Shane’s is beautiful as well but nearly impossible to replicate because he has his own unique flair on it with the dip in the back swing. It’s more of a quirk which most people have in their stroke.

    What do the numbers .906 and .931 mean? Is it accuracy?

    • @roadrunner381
      @roadrunner381 Год назад

      Basically yes, 1000 would be a perfect performance, missing any ball or safety affect this score, with two scores In the 900s would be very high level pool, that only top pros usually score!

    Shane has a very unique stroke in the way he has a long fluid wind up with a dip in it, but after all of that movement, believe it or not he actually "jabs" the the stick or poke strokes it, you gotta watch the final stroke and where the tip ends up on the follow thru or in his case the lack of it, some of his strokes the stick actually comes "back" that's why I say "jab", never the less, like no other jab stroke I've ever seen, he controls the the cue ball as good as anybody, which is not a skill that usually comes with a jab stroke, normally those kind of strokes are known for pocketing balls, particularly long hard shots, Efren on the other hand has a more classic pendulum swing with a good follow through although not a "power" stroke, but a finesse stroke, that's why he plays one pocket so good, among other skills, for another great stroke I look at Earl, long fluid "power" stroke, but not quite the control as Efrens finesse stroke, as for Fedor it's a what I call a" phony" stroke, it's a very contrived mechanical stroke, as in one step after another, most important with that kind of stroke is the timing, and it forces you to follow through the cue ball because of the long deliberate final back stroke, it's not a natural stroke, but it's works and works good!
