Here is a novel idea.
The ref should use a cleaning rag to clean the cue ball.
He keeps using the gloves that he racks all the other dirty balls with.
These glovesl progressively.pick up dirt thru out the match.
Sup with the rave going on in the background?
1.15:31 did anyone notice that FSR fouled by hitting the 3 first before scratching in the side?
Loved this match , but I’m glad Shane missed with ball in hand just goes to show even pros miss shots like that shows there human
😂 why would you be glad he missed ?? That’s just dumb
@@Jaxons-dadBecause he won't feel as bad when missing an easy shot because he can just say the pros do too.
I can beat 🎱 all these guys! They call me the king 👑 I'm undefeated. 😁
Most of these racks cannot be tight as the balls are barely spreading on the break despite both players clearly trying to hit them hard. This can only be down to the rack (the quality of the Predator rack I mean) or the rails. Don't see this happening frequently when different (better) equipment is used.
All the matches I’ve seen so far from this tournament the guys are breaking head ball from the side rail, the worst 8 ball break of all time as far as I can tell.
I have never seen it work well but for some reason they keep going to it.
I have found the Predator rack to be a great rack ( for a triangle). None better
( except the Sardo )
I haven’t played on this cloth they are using,or these cushions. I was thinking they could be the cause.
But you are certainly correct.Side rail to head ball gets me no
good results either.
Side rail to 2nd ball is
better but I’m not so good at that either.
15:34 FSR did that in Do Khai style 🤣
How many times they gonna clean the cue ball
Wow that shot of FSR at 28:58 reminds me of PRIME EFREN REYES SHOTS. Those shots are the shots that ROTATION PLAYERS usually shoots. Who know the ROTATION POOL GAME in here?
Even if he doesn't win it all, Shane is definitely the world's best 8 ball player.
Best 8 ball, 9 ball and 10 ball player! The only thing i see him have issues with is the Bank competitions and one pocket.
@@truthbearer8216 Actually, he has a very strong one pocket game. He's won the derby city one pocket crown twice.
@@howdy2496once not twice
@@oparanoziereliance8418 Nope. 2011 and 2012. ✌️
Between the massive skids, slug racks, and odd bounces off the cushions, the Predator equipment came out of this match looking REALLY questionable. I've only heard great things about it prior to this match but conditions here were clearly not ideal.
This is exactly the comment I was going to make if you hadn't done. Diamond tables all the way.
@@RyanADillon I think it's mostly the balls in this case bc the skids were the biggest issue, but it's true that you can't really go wrong with Diamonds
Shane using cheap ass master chalk is a big contributer to the skids🤷. The rack or the person using it is to blame for the rest. Just my opinion tho
@@MrSulkow1 You're right, there's no good reason he should be using Master when he's getting that many skids, especially because Taom v10, Predator Pure and Kamui Roku are all so much cleaner. Still, there was a comment somewhere in this match and another match about how the Predator balls seem to be harder to clean and chalk seems to get on them and stay on them more easily after they're cleaned. I couldn't verify that personally but it could be a factor if true. I got to play with a super old set of clay/ceramic balls once and those things picked up chalk noticeably more than modern resin-based balls so surface composition may be a factor.
Even Albin Ouschan said he is not able to give himself a perfect rack with the triangle. If Predator wasn't so obsessed with trying to sell racks, they could just use a template rack: like everyone else.
These guys are such savages! I love SVB and Ferrari, two of my favorite players. Such methodical, technically accurate players. They truly make it look easy. Why be a shot maker when you can make all your shots easy. AWESOME! Of course, they are both shotmakers as well, but yep. So much to learn here. I wish them both MUCH success!
I tried to replicate Ruiz shot mechanics but the way he eyed the shot make the object ball blurry
Were going to be in for one hell of a ride come mosconi cup time still think Europe is a slight favorite but SvB, Sky and now Gorst going to be fun to watch !
It's going to be the best Mosconi Cup. EVER
Tyler styer I believe made the team also
Judging by the YT algorithm I'm going to assume every pool match involves SVB playing against someone.
How is it even possible for an experienced player to make this comment at 24:10, "It doesn't matter what the format is, the better player will still win." That is one of the most ludicrous statements an experienced pool player has ever made. It is much truer in many other sports or games, but certainly not pool. I wish I knew who it was that made that comment.
I wonder in the rules is there no second ball break? I haven’t seen anyone break like that I’m just wondering
The second ball break is primarily for bar boxes and/or when trying to make the 8 ball on the break. On a 9-foot table it doesn't work as well.
It’s George again:
He’s reading right off
Wikipedia, and gets it
wrong.Shane’s first US Open. He said 2011. It was 2007,which he eventually figured out.
Are you up to your
standard “ over 50%
Wrong “ yet?
You aught to be quiet as you can, then read the sponsors between racks.
44:50 or so. Brilliant! I didn't even know that was a thing. If you purposely don't call your ball and then you make it. It's your opponent's turn right where everything sits but it's not actually a foul so that was really brilliant because the four was tied up and he made Sanchez hit it and therefore free up Shane's ball for him with no penalty. Wow, just wow. If I understood that correctly.
Yes he called a safe which means no matter it will be the other persons turn where the cue ball lies so you can make a ball while calling a safe or break open problem balls ect
Sanchez needs to work on his pattern selection..
He shoulda gone stripes for the 8th rack. I guess that one ball hanging in the side pocket was too tempting...
Jumping up on the ball is definitely a thing. When you start coming up quickly it alters your mechanics, particularly your follow through and stroking motion. It also affects your bridge hand. It’s very subtle but it’s definitely a real thing
Shane always looks so unimpressed from the chair, lol. It makes me laugh.
Honestly 😂
SVB played very well! FSR looked a bit out of sorts at times, not his normal consistency…
Perhaps the player shouldn’t be allowed to jump on top of the table and start dancing when they win?
No matter how they may talk! Shane does what he does best. DELIVER WHEN IT MATTERS
Not this year - yet. SVB has really struggled this year, but put together a really solid match here. He can be thankful FSR was off his game a bit, but still a really good performance by SVB. I am hoping he goes on to win it all.
@@jamesdavis8731 he has been struggling but never stopped believing

@@75JMO93 I mean I don't understand the motive, of course this is the internet, people lie, my question is the gain is?
I'm becoming a huge fan of Daryl Peach's commentary. Very knowledgeable and easy to listen to.
Puerto Rico is kinda like the Philippines in terms of weather not much to do with the equipment
Nice to know, but you’re replying to
MikeyD22 ‘s remark about Daryl Peaches
Announcing skills.
I don’t get the connection. (?)
Absolutely not embarrassing to have so many problems with equipment on such a big stage. Predator needs to do something about this.
How does the best US player not make the poster?
Too many commercials
One thing I noticed after the 5th or 6th watch. The commentators keep mentioning FSR getting up on his shots causing a miss. I'm almost certain he's jumping up because he can tell on contact with the cue that he has not struck it the way he wanted to.
Does this skid happen with other equipment then predator? How often does it happen with predator equipment?? This is the biggest stage, an match, how can imperfections in equipment that players on playing impact the outcome of even a single game? This is how these professionals make a living..
7/29/24. After FSR switched to Cuetec...he shouldn't have done that, he seems to not have found the same "zone"he was in when he used Predator...
Pros don't jump up on shots. It's a very annoying thing that cue-sport commentators say. They jump up in frustration because they know they've missed it.
Feel bad for Sfr. Just stay there for like 7 racks and watch opponent clean the table time and time again. Svb just don’t miss!
I don't know how these players can concentrate when this God awful crap for music is dronning on. Who in their right mind chooses this Rave background noise as music ??
Both players are shooting ok but you can't help feeling like there's so much variance on the break. There's going to be some randomness for sure but some of these racks look like they're not tight and half the balls hardly move move despite a square 20+ mph hit.
What's with the nondescript 70s porn jazz in the background? Annoying!
Predator equipment causing this match to be a challenge again. They really should just stick to cues and accessories.
That 'no pocket' call by SVB in the 7th rack was genius! 43:15
Definitely an underused tactic at times, although of course at this level of play it won't be seen too often. If you're in league, just remember to call a safe when you do that lol. I've made that mistake before.
It was a smart shot considering FSR only had that ball left but I wouldn't call it Genius 😂. I know too many league players 500 fargo that would play that safety and that's just a decent league level.
i don't get it man😅
how come he pots the ball then can go sit down??? considered to be playing safe. Can explain a bit?
In this match you have to call the pocket you are going to make your ball in. So Shane was able to make one of his balls, and play a defensive safety in one shot by calling 'no packet', meaning he sits down because he didn't call the pocket he made his ball in, but it was intentional since he was really playing safe, so that his opponent clears the problem ball and Shane has a better chance of running out.
why is this streaming so fuzzy it’s annoying
What causes a skid? It looked like both players had a disappointed look like it was out of their control.
Larger crowds around the main table(s) getting closer to the finals = more humidity in the air and probably causing the skids we saw in this match.
I wish the commentators would stop saying they're jumping up on the shot, look closely and they're absolutely not.
Yeah, it's an old chestnut for pool commentators. But they didn't miss because they jumped up, they jump up after, because they already knew that they probably missed, and want to see if the ball is tracking towards the pocket or not.
I hate when they say that, it's such a lazy comment, and it's almost always a result of the miss, not the cause of it.
I was thinking the same thing.
@@Arthur-nr5ci You nailed it.That is exactly what it is.
15:33
Is that 80’s porn music playing during the match?!?
If predator series had decent announcers it would be right up there with matchroom. George absolutely ruins it for me.
I liked Albin commenting too. Because he has played against Shane and knows how everything works. I love how the other players in the tournament commentate because they actually know what they are talking about and have good knowledge.
Absolutely agree “bombers9”.
I have tried to ignore George T. ,but he so
consistently says something so wrong, I find I can’t ignore him.
I have never felt I understood what
“Ludicrous “ meant.
But I now will assign it
“Ludicrous George”
He seems a like-able
Person, and he actually shoots a respectable pool game……But, he should never be allowed in front of a
Microphone. I say his
brain is not connected to his mouth.
I’m sure he realizes this just by the constant amount of times he corrects himself.
He would be ok just
mentioning sponsors and adding players information. Maybe saying scores.THAT’s
IT.
Cue ball jumping on contract will make the pot not fall no he miss the pot
Bien por Shane le bajaron los humos a FSR no niego juega muy bien pero, una dosis de humildad le falta.
FSR is/was just a flash in the pan... 😅
😂
Stupid music playing while shooting, don't like it
43:35 Would someone explain to me what happened here? He, Shane, put the ball that belonged to him but then the rival played
On this tournament, you are required to 'call' the pocket where you intend to shoot the ball in. Shane deliberately did not do this as he knew his opponent would not have a good shot from resulting position.
CONTOH ORANG SEKOLAH DAN TIDAK PADA PROGRAMER
3rd time watching this match.Shane and Cisco worth studying.
My comment is about the “cling, skid,or whatever else they call it “
Just maybe they haven’t thought of this, but I’m sure they have by now. I’m just tired of hearing George T.talk about it.
Down on the Gulf coast where the humidity and salt air is as thick as anywhere.
At our regional tournaments,we tend to go overboard trying to reduce the ill effects of climate.
We clean all the pool balls each evening in
a machine that we put in the cleaning solvent by hand and then the wax by hand. One time the owner of the room, trying to help out, volunteered to clean the balls. He had never done it before.
He put the wrong amount of wax in on the final cycle.
Next day,Tournament
restarts, and soon players are complaining about “skids”. We were trying everything we could think of, rebrushing the tables,
changing the Chalk,
turning the A/C down till everyone was shivering.
Finally one player,I think it was Jeremy Jones, said “these balls don’t feel right,
as he was racking. Another player,Gabe
Owen, picked up a ball and declared “ these
balls have too much wax on them “.
Well, we grabbed 12 racks of old dirty balls
and proceeded with the tournament,
adding the new
Re cleaned balls as
available.
No more “skidding “.
So this time it wasn’t
dirty balls, but too much wax on very clean balls. The owner
was super embarrassed.
I’m not going to say who Won the tournament, except to say it was one of the ones I mentioned. The other one was second.
So, well, maybe that’s
Predator’s problem (?)
adios
You’d think the commentators would be more professional and not be absolutely saliva dripping during the match. Couldn’t enjoy this because of that mouth noise over the mic. Next time have some self control and don’t eat until after the match
Imagine shooting pool and you don’t get a shot
*It’s not the FOG. Predator Cloth is made of recycled microwave popcorn bags. Plays kinda sketchy but it’s ecologically sound!*
Nice to have trust in someone these days
I use a svb red stick .. I’m not mute but I love the stick and I’m a 7
2 of my team mates use a ghost
41:25 i see whst you mean... The commentator is saying that what he did after his q-tip left the cue ball somehow affected the outcome of the shot which obviously can't be true. If you watch it in slow motion, you can see that he had already hit the cue ball. Then he saw that he had missed. Then he hopped up.
ur camera is sucks pro billliard tv
wtf is with the techno soundtrack?

Donkey commentating man. 🤦🏻♂️
Shane missed a ball with ball in hand, lol.
The amount of dry breaks at this level is surprising
With how extremely consistent theses pros aim and strike their breaks it only makes sense that the variation is coming from another source, the racking or the ball/table.
Shane is taking the other players to school
When SVB is on he’s on.
Never seen Shane play any better.

Shane has lots of troubles to break the 8 balls game tours by using the side reels. He needs to use the middle to break the balls, so it will give him the better breaks to have more chances to run the games.
Wow your telling everyone here how one of the top 10 best pool players in the world should break?? May I ask who are you? And what your pool accomplishments are?
Someone better run and tell shane this incredible cheat code!
SVB comes from a bar box background, like pretty much every major cueist from North America. Bar boxes don't work well with mid breaks.
@ 1:16:35 does anyone else think that was a double kiss from shane? It even sounds like it to me.
Don't think so. The dots on the cueball would have hesitated after contact and probably rolled forward more with the double hit
