Thanks for watching this video. I would be very appreciative if you could help me grow the channel by hitting the'LIKE' and also consider 'SUBSCRIBING', not forgetting to hit the 'BELL' icon to make sure you get notified everytime I upload a new video.
I just went for my 1st run on Strava and had some problems. I was a bit worried at the start of the video of the music because it was a bit loud. I was affraid that I wouldn't hear you but everything turned out perfect and I solved my problems. Thank you!
Hi. I've started using strava, I was using samsung health before which I found accurate. Since using strava the audio cue is going off before I hit a KM, I did a standard base run which I know is 8km but strava said it was 12km and my pace was 3:31km which I wish it was, that's too fast for me. How am I using the app wrong to be this far off compared to Samsung health. Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks for sharing, Steve! Love my Strava app except when it glitches on me (last few weeks). Yesterday was the first day where it recorded my run correctly. Hoping the glitching is fixed now!
If you don't want to records your rest periods you could stop it manually and then resume when you're ready to go again but you run the risk of forgetting and then not recording the remainder of your run. A simpler way is to use 'Auto Pause' which is in your activity settings. This will automatically pause the recording when it detects you have stopped and then resumes automatically when you restart moving. The question as to 'should you' pause during a breather is a hot debate. Personally, I recommend not as I regard recovery periods as much part of the session as the time spent actually running. Besides, the app records both 'elapsed time' as well as 'moving time' so you would still get accurate times anyway. Hope this helps.
Just started using strava. Can you tell me if I must use my phones app to record a run as you did here? I wanted to keep my phone in a pack on my back. And just tell my watch I'm starting instead. Sadly the first few runs I've done show in strava history on my watch, but fail to sync. So I have to manually upload runs to the app. Not loving strava user friendlyness just now 😔
Hi. I'm afraid I', not too familiar wth the NYRR races but Strava have a help page. Hope this helps. support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001737044-NYRR-Virtual-Races
You need to press record to begin the recording but there is an 'auto-pause' function in the settings whereby if you have to stop to wait to cross a road for example, it will pause the recording automatically and resume when it detects you are moving again.
I've just tested this out and it will work without mobile data or wifi and just GPS. It suffers with poor map data however as this is brought in using internet but it all syncs up when you get back on wifi.
Today I run around 3kms with this app without mobile data and after my run it just shows Nothing....0 timing, 0 kms etc...I don't know why?? Could you please help me with this??
Hi. After finishing your run and you 'save' the activity, go to your list of activities by tapping 'YOU' on the top bar. Find the activity in question and tap on the map to select it. It will then show you a picture of the map again but just below is Distance, Elevation Gain, Moving Time and Calories. You can get more detailed data by tapping the 'View Analysis' bar. Hope this helps.

What about if you stop running to take a breather should you stop the timer?

Is it at all possible to make Strava show your speed in the analysis (as well as the pace)?

Do we need to Turn On our Cellular On for recording our Run ?
Yes, your phone needs to be turned on.
Is it needs internet connection to access the GPS to record?
New subscriber ❤️
Gdpm sir steve how to record to a running time
Sorry, I don't understand your question.
Does the run start recording when you move or when you press record? Considering adding this
You need to press record to begin the recording but there is an 'auto-pause' function in the settings whereby if you have to stop to wait to cross a road for example, it will pause the recording automatically and resume when it detects you are moving again.
Do you need WiFi whilst running? And if u have given location permission for the app and it says GPS acquired can I just press record and run outside?
Actually, I've never tried that. I'll look into it

Sir can we use without smart watch?
Yes. Strava can be used without a smart watch. Simply take your phone with you on the run. It is designed to be a mobile device app on it's own.
@@DynamicRunningFitnesscan I ask how you holster the phone while you are running. It is something I am trying to figure
Hi sir i have a question about the analitics
What's your question?
I run on a treadmill. Is there a foot pod that uploads to Strava?
Yes, I do believe that is possible. I've never used on myself but I have heard about it being done.
Sir why my strava not recording my miles and pace? Thankyou🙏🏻
Are you running outdoors with GPS turned on?

But the map does not look the same
How can I get that map u used
Thanks
Make sure you have either mobile data or wifi switched on as this is how the app brings in map information.
Does anyone know good methods of carrying your phone whilst running?
I use an arm carrier. You can get them to fit your phone from amazon. Pretty cheap too.
I use a waist bag.
