    The Relive App is a cool way to remember a hike, trail run, paddle or cycle. I love the 3D animation and the way it embeds your pictures at the location you took them.

      I have 2 questions maybe you can answer..1. You said on the paid version you can control the speed, can you give me an idea of the speeds available? example, do you pick a time that you want the whole video to last or what? 2. can you adjust how long the pictures stay up when the video gets to a point of interest? great job on the instructional video!! thanks

    • @OutsideChronicles

      @@lazyj7860 The options for video speed is Slow, Normal, and Fast. It seems to auto adjust based on the length of the track recorded. As for the pictures, there are no options to display some longer. The only thing you can do is adjust the location or add a moment.

    Question: We are doing a long (500+) mile hike and would like to record by stages. Our 1st stage will be broken into two days. Have you ever paused and then resumed the 2nd day OR combined two days into one event? Thx! Great instructional video!

    Thanks for overview. I have used this app for awhile for the basics of seeing animated route and photos I select, however I found a big gap after upgrading to paid version. I selected some short video's I took as well on the trail and it will insert them and plays them but WITH NO audio.. I contacted their support and they stated that it's not possible to do that. That is a big flaw. On the trails, I like to stop and take a very short video explaining something and was hoping to include that so it's not just watch the little yellow line move haha but bring some personal explanation, history or any of my own narration to it.. but it can't do it. I find this a very big flaw. So, only way I can do this is a far more time-consuming download the video, and my own talking videos' and edit/compile in a video editor, then have to store elsewhere like youtube or something.. which I assumed this paid app would handle something like this simple include short videos (and able to hear them when created).. Therefore, I really don't see the value of the paid version over free 1. as to be honest, people don't like a ton of photos interrupting the route animation I find. Their pro version editing needs a big upgrade. UNLESS you know how to do this? thanks for any tips or others using with video taking during hike.. love to hear your ideas.

  • @usernamemykel
    @usernamemykel 3 года назад +1

    Ok, let me understand this. After downloading the app to my iPhone, I take a ride on my motorcycle, and without the iPhone recording video (but occasionally taking a picture), the Relive app creates the route via GPS, and I can later view that route on my iPhone, and export it if desired.
    Is all that correct?
    Thank you!

    • @OutsideChronicles
      @OutsideChronicles  3 года назад

      Yes and no, so it will place the pictures in the location where they were taken as long as your phone is geotagging them. You manually take the pictures. But you need to record the track either using their app, some other app like Strava, or like I do with my GPS watch.

      I do not know about that. I use the app all the time. It works flawlessly. I would give it a try, its easy to use and makes cool animations.

      @@OutsideChronicles I was thinking of getting it, but then I read all the reviews on google play and when I saw that they disabled the comments and likes/dislikes it made me think there was some truth to it. Did you get a subscription?

    • @OutsideChronicles

      @@Spacegoat92 I see, I do not have the paid subscription. I use only the free version. For me, the free version does enough. It would be nice to have HD (for my RUclips videos) and be able to edit, but it is not worth $6.99/month for me.

      @@Spacegoat92 although I have not done full 3D maps, I have found a good method to animate maps using Davinci Resolve. I had tried Google Earth, but it was cumbersome and very slow to create. I will do a video on how to make them in Davinci Resolve.

    What do you guys think about the Relive challenges? :D

    • @OutsideChronicles
      @OutsideChronicles  3 года назад +1

      I did not see that they added it. I do not use Relive.cc to track all of my activities. I usually sync from my watch. The challenges look great and I am in favor of anything that motivates people to move and get outside.

      @@OutsideChroniclesI loved your video and your content in general. I am doing a small personal research on the Relive app... Is there any chance you would be willing to spend 10-15 min on a call or chat with me? I would just be asking for some thoughts on the apps challenge idea. No need really to have used them heavily.. just opinions... It would help me immensely :)

    Very disappointed in this video and app. I was under the impression that you could do all that you showed with the free version. Not true. Recorded my first 20 mile hike with over 30 pictures. I couldn’t do any editing at all and it only posted 4 out of 30 pics. Again folks, zero editing capability without a subscription. Also the app stopped recording my trek 2-3 times and I had to resume and because of that, it didn’t know my route for minutes at a time and just drew a straight line to where I was at after resuming. I wouldn’t recommend this app.

      I can’t see any of the pictures I took with this app, it doesn’t record pictures in the free version I guess
