    as amazing as this is, it does not change the fact that in australia there are 48 million kangaroos and in uruguay there are 3,457,380 inhabitants. so if the kangaroos decide to invade uruguay, each uruguayan will have to fight 14 kangaroos.

    I get it that the low amount of healing can be frustrating at times but I think that Dead Cells uses BossCells very good to decrease the amount of health flasks. The thing is that health flasks drop a bit with every BossCell while also making the game harder. So in this case you will get used to less healing, and you will adapt your playstile. At around 4BC there are no health flasks anymore between runs, but this does not mean that you can't get your health up: there are 2 food drops every biome (one from an enemy and one secret), food shops appear in some biomes at high BC, the rally system allows you to regain some health afther you get hit and a lot of mutations to improve healing.
    I really love to play with these different mechanics. I recently unlocked 5BC witch introduces the Malaise meter which forces you do adapt your playstyle and I love this.
    I highly recommend trying the higher BossCells, and if you are not convinced have a look at the video 'Why Dead Cells has Better Difficulty Design than Hades' by Pseychie, he explains this much better.
    Love your videos! This one got me back in to playing Dead Cells so big thanks for that!

    Yep, totally agree with you on the Difficulty. This game is BRUTAL! If they could just increase the intelligent of the enemies and leave the damage and healing alone, that would be nice. But nooooooo... not only did they limit the healing, they made the enemies hit like a TRUCK. I'm still stuck at 2BC, and my sanity is already gone.

    • @420AlucardMr
      @420AlucardMr 7 дней назад +1

      Well it’s supposed to be like a dead souls or dark souls games where you get hit like 2-3 times you’re dead even at full HP it’s about mobility and attack. But since you’re at 2BC I’m sure you’re aware already. Just don’t give up.

    • @khaiphamba5991
      @khaiphamba5991 7 дней назад

      @@420AlucardMr If so, why didn't they just make the entire health bar as a collection of... bars instead of number? For example, you get 3 bars (or 3 hearts), that means if you get hit 3 times, you are done. What is the point of eating scrolls, increasing your health bar to thousands just so the enemies still can obliterate it with 2-3 punches?
      Seeing that beautiful green bar of yours turns 70% to orange after just 1 hit, you can FEEL it like a golem punching you in the guts, right? 😂

    There's absolutely nothing wrong with playing at lower bc levels, but I would encourage you to progress through the difficulties even gradually. I think what most people get wrong about progression is saying that you need to rush to 5bc when you can work on reliably beating each difficulty before moving up. The game is designed with the end goal of you beating 5bc, but you can choose to ignore it or only start playing 5bc when you're 300 hours in and both of those choices are valid.
    I'd also like to mention just how great it was to see a nuanced take about the difficulty system. It's not something that I see really touched on at all due to the "0bc is just the tutorial" mentality that most of the active community has.
    I hope I didn't come off as too abrasive about progressing, just my thoughts on the matter.

    • @2265Hello

    its amazing for a game to have so many positives, and the only downside you mention is skill related. I can imagine the people that love and have beaten 5BC is because of hard work and passion towards this game. Missed these long, lore-filled reiviews :))

    i do respectfully disagree with the difficulty enhancer bit; if anything it forces you to look at your color choice, mutations, and routing more critically, because you're guaranteed healing via food and you can also mitigate some damage via rally which can be extended via mutations. the food shops available in certain biomes give some breathing room especially for less experienced players, at the cost of some scroll fragments or shop levels. obviously there is still an element of skill involved but i think it's less of an issue if attentive.

  • @wuzi7049
    @wuzi7049 10 месяцев назад +1

    Difficulty has a pretty wide range. The boss cells are not the only "difficulty enchancers." There are many options that lets you choose an easier or harder time outside of the boss cells. And the build and paths you choose, and how you choose to play. All have an impact on how hard the game can be. You can have a broken build, an easy path, or just change some settings. Depending on the settings and ways of playing, it can make it feel like a different game.

    Great review! I agree on almost everything you said, especially difficulty system. I'm stuck at 2BC, maybe in the future I'll go back to try.
    The only addition I think has to be done is the DLC and post launch support was done by Evil Empire, not Motion Twin 😉 they're now on The Rogue Prince of Persia, a new roguelike in Early Access now that's already amazing.. And it's the main game I'm posting on my channel if you'd like to have an idea of that 😊

    I used to like dead cells a lot, but once i beat the collector, i just couldn’t play it anymore. the main problem in my opinion is that you can choose your route, and there is an explicitly best route, and that best route has been in the game since the collector was added. I really think they should have just made all the stages equal in terms of scrolls and have the game randomly select the stage and/or let you choose between 2 stages.
