This may be a travel log of David Adams (as some below have complained) but damn, what a wonderful way to visit Sudan without actually going. It was delightful and I enjoyed it enormously. I don't have an adventurous soul so of course I admire those that do.

We do need to teach it, but the actual truth may not be to your liking. Especially the truth about slavery, who created it, who ended it and who still practices it today. As well as the fact that Africa is huge and diverse and that Sub-Saharan Africans from which slaves were taken to the new world (and are still taken today to other African countries) have no close ancestry with the Ancient Egyptians.

You also need to understand that his Mexico comment is a visual reference point for us Westerners that don't know African art history or history since it's rarely educated and displayed. I’ve thought about that a lot and I thought I was the only one. That there are many similarities between the Sudan pyramids and the Mexican ones. I think somebody spoke about it in a documentary but it’s v. Interesting if somebody was to find out more

How did it begin, how long did it last, how was the living condition, what did they eat, hunt, build, create. What Religion did they follow, are written works pasted down.

Actually I thought I was about to see a documentary on the Pharaohs. This seemed more like a tour to different parts of Africa instead of information on the pharaohs. My opinion though.
He literally visited the three most recognized pharaoh's monuments sites in Sudan. I thought he did a good job, and he did it while looking like a badass. Although I want to know when this was shot, cuz the film looks clean but the view seems atleast 15 years old.

CORRECTTION on Nile River flows:
1) It is not 60% but 84% of the nile flows out of Ethiopia.
2) The water flows out of Ethiopia via three major tributary rivers: (a) Abay ("tikur abay" or blue Nile), which starts from lake tana, in the North West Ethiopia and joined in the Nile in Khartoum and is the largest of all tributaries (b) Tekezze in the North Ethiopia joined the Nile with Atbara River in the North Sudan, (c) Baro in the Southwestern Ethiopia which joined the nile in South Sudan with the white Nile joined with Pibor River into Sobat.
This is wowtanstic... I love every bit of it. The history and how things still look natural till date. Like an untapped world with so much of great people and history. We need to start writing our story for the world. Nice documentary
