Dick Grayson
Tim Drake

Tim Drake will always be my favorite robin, but what Jason represents as robin is great. He represented the harshness of what Gothem did to its youth, a shitty upbringing causing him many issues but you could understand why he turned out this way. Seeing him as robin trying to do good is admirable and yes he wasn't always the perfect partner, he was still trying his best to be a hero. Although IMO Jason really became much more fascinating after coming back as Red hood than he was during his tenure as robin
Yeah that’s the part that’s so heartbreaking and emotional about Jason’s fall from grace. Even though people try to disingenuously characterize him differently nowadays, Jason was overall a good and compassionate kid with a big heart, but that big heart definitely extended further into other darker regions as well. He definitely had noticeable issues that needed to be dealt with, and his death and resurrection ended up only exacerbated a lot of the shit he was dealing with
**thats not all TIM DRAKE IS THE ONLY ROBIN in the COMICS as of now to wear the mantle of BATMAN BEYOND. (batman of the future) THAT IS SAYING MUCH SOMETHING!**
It's pretty impressive how long they've been able to milk his death though. For better or worse
tim is also my favorite Robin! But Jasons Role in Under the Red Hood was so genius...
Jesus loves you 🙏✝️
"Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing!"
Out of all the Robins, Jason was always the most interesting to me. He had the makings of a hero and had a good heart, but was always hindered by the chip on his shoulder due to his upbringing. While he may not have been the easiest person to work with, Jason was a hero that was always raring to help whenever he can. What makes him fascinating to me is that even when he is revived and has grown hostile to Batman, he reworked the Red Hood identity as a superhero and set off to stop crime on his own. Even though his methods were drastic, the good nature of Jason still persisted under all the damage and hurt he has experienced.
I have a question about him did Batman found red hood after Batman under the red hood??
Ironically Jason having been killed by Joker ended up greatly helping so yes do Red Hood. Jason might've just been cut out of the DCAU as his death was pretty brutal and it's one of the now most iconic comic deaths ever
Jason is in the dcac comics. He was only cut out of the show not the universe
Please don't stop your channel, it's vids like this that prove how good you are. Even when we disagree, I love hearing what you have to say. You're funny, informative, the kind of channel you could listen to any time and any place. You mean a lot to us, man, and while I obviously respect any decision you make, know that people DO value your content!
Agreed!
@@jones3887 He wants to stop?
@@FC-ho9hw check his community tab he mentions it there.

Totally agreed! Vee Infuso is one of my favorite RUclipsrs whom I watch very regularly. It would really suck if he stopped putting out content!
I haven’t read too much of Jason’s time as Robin, but reading his death surprised me. I had gotten the impression that he was unlikeable and that his time as Robin wasn’t influential enough to be remembered well. However, even though Jason isn’t my favorite Robin, his death was one of the few moments in reading comics that I teared up. All he wanted to do was find his mother, and even after finding her and being betrayed by her, his first instinct after getting nearly beaten to death is to save her. It was actually pretty inspiring and not what I would have expected from the stereotypes I’ve heard about the character prior.
Well yeah that’s one part of the disingenuous takes people have nowadays. People like to victim blame Jason and characterize differently than he actually was
yeah the stereotypes are the problem. way too many people only know about his death from word of mouth so they victim blame him and say he “didn’t listen to batman and went after the joker by himself” when it’s actually much more complicated and nuanced than that lol. if people actually *read* a death in the family (and more of robin!jason’s comics in general while we’re at it) these mischaracterizations probably wouldn’t be so rampant
@@singulariteas I agree! Honestly, I don’t even know what trades I could pick up to read more of Jason as Robin, so an issue could be that Jason as Robin isn’t as easily accessible as Dick, Tim, or Damien as Robin.
Man imagine if they did use Jason in the animated series. They could've revitalized the character and he could've been a better fan favorite.
They included him in Batman: Animates Series The Adventure Continues comic series that came out the last few years.
Tim drake was Jason in everything but name. Of course he was tamer as it was a kid's show.
"Tim Drake" on BATMAN: TAS is effectively Jason Todd. They used the name of the current Robin to avoid confusion and perhaps not telegraph a predestined tragic ending. I liked that "street kid" background mixed with comic-book Tim's fannish appreciation of Batman and the original Robin.
And BATMAN BEYOND: RETURN OF THE JOKER is my favorite version of a "death of Robin."
honestly TAS tim drake is probably the ideal jason todd; rude with a ‘tude, but not enough to the point of hindering things
He was actually originally brought back by Superboy primes punch until the Lazerous Pit retcon
I like the lazerous pit resurrection much better.
Basically the same thing as the cosmic cube and Bucky
Would love to see a Jason Todd TV Series by James Gunn
I am a big fan of Jason and Red Hood and when I saw this title I immediately thought about that great song from Arkham Knight
I really like what they did with Jason in the Under the Red Hood storyline.
I think one thing that is underrated about jason is the impact he had on bruce even when he was robin. When the cult priest had totured and broken batman it was jason near death that reignited his will to fight.
Even in the events of knightfall right before bane broke batman back bruce was ready to give up until he saw jason old Robin suit and pushed him to fight.
I like that Jason was just a younger Bruce and was just angry and if Joker didn't crowbar him I wonder if he'd eventually mellow out or if he'd get fired and become red hood regardless.
YES You Aren't Quitting! I saw that on a post you put on RUclips and I was thinking,NO ONE OF MY FAVORITE RUclipsRS! You Dave and Brian Zane are my guys.
Channel pup said the same thingbut thankfully didn't quit too
I’d love to see a part 2 about Todd as red hood
Always been my fav robin, before I even knew about red hood. Then he was even cooler
Personally his whole problem child aspect was something that I someone liked even though admittedly I only came in after Arkham but one of the things that I like that I wish they would do more is also show how Jason actually had a good relationship with Alfred and some of the bat family and Bruce one of my favorite moments I think out of his own run was when Mr Freeze almost killed him in all it took for Batman to know how serious it was was for him to call for Bruce I loved how that was such a big thing under the idea that moment kind of sums up their relationship as him and red hood see that they genuinely care for each other but also are so distant to the point where calling for one another is such a out there thing but it's like out there because they're so close but won't show it to the point where it takes Batman a back at the idea that Jason explicitly called for him to help him
"Jason Todd’s dead and I can’t stop laughing."
Seriously though, I really hope that you continue to make videos, Vee.
I would love to see your take on Red Hood. He is without question my favorite dc character because oh how layered he is while still being the "batman with guns" that makes my inner five year old cheer!
He hasn’t been batman with guns for years
Personally Tim Drake is my favorite robin. I enjoy Jason but I feel like recently the character has been more one note. He’s still a great character tho.
Jason is one note but not Tim? 😂
@@Z4NKA1 Tim goes across the multiverse casually. Jason fights D list Batman villains
@@proteinbean 😱 Tim is a jobber who no one cares about 😂
@@proteinbean Are we talking about characterization or feats? Because if we talking about character, Jason progressed from being a brooding antihero who casually murders people to a compassionate and kind friend (and brother figure) in Batman Urban Legends and Rebirth Outlaw. This is a great character development for him.
@@jeppyjep I’m more talking about mainstream Jason. I honestly don’t know a ton about him in the comics.
I just need all the Robin's to come together for a Gotham ending events while Bruce is unconscious for a week 😂 maybe I'm asking for alot
And Ninjas, Alot of Ninja’s
Hey, Vee Infuso. Maybe you could make a video about the differences between Jason Todd and Damian Wayne. That would be an interesting video.
Once again Superboy-prime's contribution to Jason's resurrection is forgotten
It’s mostly been retconned in later retellings or otherwise neglected.
Good that shit was so fucking stupid
Jason todd was hated as Robin and loved as red hood
Would you able to talk about Jason’s time as the red hood ?
I would really like it if you talked about Jason's resurrection and comeback as Red Hood
The same repeated character arc 70 times
@@lordskeletor4558 that's the current writers fault tho not Red Hood his run with Starfire and Arsenal as well as the series with Artemis and Bizzaro are some of the best modern comics I've read The Lost Days was fire too the problem is the character has become popular and the stupid executive's dont understand why thus the issue you just brought up
Now that I think about it Gotham was decent too but I don't think the company had faith in it probably why they didn't color it crazy cause it was waaaayyyy better then that zombie shit
@@bb.english3829 I think the rebirth one was good but the new 52 one sucked lmao putting him with 2 titans
@@lordskeletor4558 with Starfire and Arsenal? I like it like they didn't just make em murderers they gave em both a specific reason to be uncharacteristically violent I will admit that space arch was dumb and has been done better especially with Starfire but nothing tops the stupid zombies shit that's been running
Great video.
I would love seeing a video on Jason Todd's resurrection and transformation into The Red Hood.
I wasn't familiar with his character until I watched the animated version of The Dark Knight Returns and Under the Red Hood.
Batman is a character known for his intelligence and his humanity, so exploring his greatest failure in saving Jason and watching him walk the line between hero and villain was very interesting.
As Alfred pointed out, crime was so under control under Jason's rule that Batman actually got to sleep, so his methods did have value. I especially liked the Death in the Family spinoff movie that showed all the different ways his character could've gone.
He's become one of my favorite DC characters and I hope Warner Bros has plans for him...when they get themselves together.
Have you read Red Hood And The Outlaws (2016)? Red Hood is in a team with Artemis Of Bana Mighdall and Bizarro, and their friendship is pretty awesome. They have been dubbed as the Dark Trinity (Bizarro as Superman, Red Hood as Batman and Artemis as Wonder Woman).
Jason Todd is very interesting wow he was a orphan wow rough times
He never was my favorite Robin (I just prefer the original, even if he eventually surpassed that), but I never really understand the hate he did get, because he was just a flawed hero and then an antihero to me. Even Batman isn't flawless, far from it. Our flaws are what makes us human...
Yeah that’s the part that’s so heartbreaking and emotional about Jason’s fall from grace. Even though people try to disingenuously characterize him differently nowadays, Jason was overall a good and compassionate kid with a big heart, but that big heart definitely extended further into other darker regions as well. Jason Todd is the best Robin and severely underrated, he's my favourite character if you couldn't tell from my pfp. I loved this video and I love your channel, your my favourite RUclipsr! (But I'm 15 so I'm kinda an idiot) keep up the good work!
Jason Todd has also always been my favorite Robin. Dick and Tim just seem a little too goody two-shoe. I could always relate to Jason as Robin because he was hurting and angry.
I remember seeing that picture of Batman holding a dead Robin and Batman was just screaming.
I would love to see you cover more of the character! Ever since I was a kid and discovered him in one of those big batman encyclopedia-esque books he has been one of my favorite characters. I'd also like to see your take on his pre-new 52 outings since I haven't really seen anyone talking about them, and I haven't read up on them much myself.
Loved JT from day one, from stealing rims in the hood to going toe to toe with the Bat…such an awesome arc, one of the few comic characters (in all media really) to evolve into something different from his origins. I called to spare him btw…
This isn’t an opinion, it’s a fact
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel
Bro please don’t stop I love your videos they’re very fun to watch and it’s almost October and I and probably many others were looking forward to thatHalloween ends review. Long story short please keep grinding brodie
Jason in my opinion is badass, street smarts with Batman skills is lit AF
Keep making videos man. Us fans still support your channel.
You are most definitely not my least favorite RUclipsr, Vee Infuso. In fact, you are pretty much my go-to Batman channel. Keep it up!

So true Jason Todd was always my favourite robin
I’m really glad you’ve continued making videos. I really love your channel, dude. Regardless of if it’s wrestling, movies or comic books it’s all great. It really makes my life less crappy.
Red Hood is a fantastic role for Jason Todd. It’s really good that he got a second chance.
He has the best Robin story ever(Death in the family)
Great video! Keep it up
Thanks you for your video and channel
That's what I like about Jason Todd because he separates himself from the other Robins Because he believes that criminals should be taken down permanently because what Batman is doing isn't working.
❤❤❤❤
Your content is so powerful that even if I disagree I'm still compelled to watch lol
That sounds like a fun idea for a video. Go for it!
I would be filled with joy one day you made a video about my favorite interpretation of Spider-Man which is the Spectacular Spider-Man just getting this performance is truly excellent and all the story lines and how they connect along with the character development is phenomenal.
I would love to see that red hood video!!! I would also like to see a video on some of the most horror like moments in batman comics for maybe an October special. That'd be dope as hell.
Love your videos. Do it!!
Oh one under appreciated relationship that I do love that Jason has and that is a closeness with Leslie Thompkins I love that that's a character for all the bat family to almost kind of rely on just for emotional support
Jason is like alot of us…. We aren’t bad people we wanna do the right thing but like life just gave us a crappy hand but we make do with what we got
Jason was resurrected by Superboy Prime shattering the Source Wall, not a Lazarus Pit. Talia took him to a Lazarus Pit in an attempt to repair his brain damage, from being resurrected after so many years.
Bro under the red hood was one of those movies that I watched as a child like 30 times. It was what made me love Jason Todd. Also would you do a review on league of superheroes lol does anyone remember that show?
Yes and yes to Jason's resurrection and red hood emergence!!
Jason definitely isn’t my favorite Robin but you brought up great points and I would really like to hear you talk about him further. “Jason Todds dead and I can’t stop laughing”
Yes please do more about Jason, I’m very interested in your two cents.
Then don't forget to put Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing
I personally always felt this way
Mainly because Jason Had so many bad things happen to him out of all of his family and the robins but he still over came the Tragedys
Even as Red hood he was angry but later became More calm in way or level headed.
Like you said Jason represented a more realistic version of the Robin character, what kid/teenager is going to be happy and obedient all the time while being in a position as a crime fighter like Dick and Tim generally were? Especially given his background who grew up poor and his father was a criminal and after he died had to fend for himself, and he had no positive influences until Batman came into his life.
While I agree with the best Robin take and some of the things you touch on. I disagree on some of the way you described Jason as a character when he was Robin.
He wasn’t nearly as rageful and reckless as people try and pin him as. That’s the part that’s so heartbreaking and emotional about Jason’s fall from grace. Even though people try to disingenuously characterize him differently nowadays, Jason was overall a good and compassionate kid with a big heart, but that big heart definitely extended further into other darker regions as well. He definitely had noticeable issues that needed to be dealt with, and his death and resurrection ended up only exacerbated a lot of the shit he was dealing with
Sure Jason had his issues and slight outbursts when he was Robin, but most of the time he was a good kid, and was a competent Robin. He didn’t go about of his way to disobey or do it his own way all the time. Jason was also far smarter than some try and credit him as, he literally loved academics and books.
I disagree with you take that he was on the surface a dick and reckless, but deep down a good kid. I think it’s the opposite imo. I think overall he was a good and compassionate kid, but deep down he had some serious issues. The issues really got unleashed after he was killed and brought back. I feel the way you described him fits much better after he returns as Red Hood than when he was Robin
My favourite character in the batfamily is dick Grayson but Jason is my favourite robin
Please don’t delete ur channel, I love you, I will kms (not rly but I love ur channel sm)
Keep them coming
Omg yes please cover the resurrection too!
Lemme get uuuuhhhhhh lemme get that red hood video
Vee your killing it hopefully you stay
I ❤️ this video and channel
Exactly! Thank you!
Pretty much Jason Todd is an underrated Robin. I really wish DC returned is hair color back to its original since it matches the character.
Please keep going!
Loved the video. But you gotta show my boy Damien some love too. You should watch the rest of the DCAU. Damien has a great arc.
I understand not being happy about people who once hated a character suddenly loving it I went through that with The Amazing spiderman I loved those movies obviously they're not perfect but Andrew went from the spiderman not being talked about to Everyone's favorite Peter and Spiderman in No way home in a blink of an eye
“Jason Todd’s’ dead and I can’t stop laughing!”
Always love the content Vee!!
Dick is my favorite Robin. But people sleep on Jason. He’s one of the best fighters in the DC universe. He has beaten Ra's. Deathstroke. And Batman multiple times. He even beat Lady Shiva with one attack. And he’s a genius with an incredible instinct. He’s one bad ass man.
"Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing." I always enjoy a video from my favorite RUclipsr Vee Infuso.
"Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing" yes, more please!
My favorite Robin is Tim Drake. But my favorite out of the four is Dick Grayson. Tim is my favorite to take up the mantle of robin. I never really hated Jason Todd. And out of the entire batfamily he's my second favorite. But in every way they brought Jason back i just found it stupid. The original way was because superboy prime destroyed reality or something like that so Jason was back. And the second was the lazarus pit which always felt like some plot device to make it so that people won't die. I personally like the white knight and arkham versions of Jason more. Joker kidnapped Jason locked him up in an abonded room and tortured him. In the white knight storyline Jason was actually the first robin. But after endless amounts of torture at the hands of Joker Harley felt bad for Jason and told Batman where his sidekick was. But Joker made Jason a deal tell him the bats identity and Jason is free. So Jason did. And when Bruce arrived Jason was no longer there. Jason became the red hood and then Dick Grayson became the new robin. Well nightwing. And in the arkham series Jason was tortured by Joker, drugged by Harley, mentally and emotionally tortured to hate batman, got electric shock therapy every morning, got beaten up by every inmate in arkham including supervillains. And got his mind and body completely broken. With Joker manipulating Jason to hate Batman (and later joker faked Jason's death). And then during the events of arkham asylum Jason escaped with Deathstroke's help. In both versions he doesn't die which i like alot more. It's just him going missing. And becoming the red hood while planning for his revenge.
I'd like to see more work from you
Can you do a video about how you feel about Superman and Lois
Growing up I was the biggest dc nerd, I would watch brave in the bold and learn about characters barely anyone else knew, the minute I heard about red hood, I just couldn’t believe there’s a character that good
It would be cool to see The Red Hood and deathstroke in some material together . Either Rivals or an Anti-hero Duo
Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing
But seriously Vee, you keep putting out content like this and you'll probably become a lot of people's favorite RUclipsr!
PLEASE DO HIS RETURN AS RED HOOD. I'VE BEEN ACHING FOR A JASON TODD CHARACTER STUDY.
Also, So Jason is basically If Damian Wayne if he had better writing.
Keep this train rolling
Tim is my personal favorite and who I believe is the best, but this was a really well done video on what makes Jason so good in his own way.
I just wanted to say I subscribed the other day to and get you to change your mind on quitting. Your a great RUclipsr who honestly would probably do better is you didn't put yourself down by saying your everyone's least favorite RUclipsr
Loved the video, Vee! I've always loved Jason as long as I can remember too and forever look forward to seeing him more in other media, like High Top Films's upcoming fan film!
Jason Todd's Dead and I can't stop Laughing!
*Sees the title*
Oooooo this will be spicy.
My man said “fuck it if I’m quitting I’mma piss off everyone first” lmao but seriously Vee I hope you stick around
Jason Todd is the most realistic and relatable to me especially since I had a rough childhood
Also make a video on every robin also make a video on who should be Batman
Thanks guys. I love you'll 😘 xx
Vee requested so I shall deliver. "Jason Todd's dead and I can't stop laughing" I shall await your next video. Keep it up bro let the algorithm do it's thing when the time is right
"jason todds dead and i can't stop laughing" i love red hood and would love a video about him from you
Do a video on all the death in the family endings
please make a red hood video because i think it helps make him even more complicated plus wasnt he resurrected for a pretty solid reason?
Amazing Video. Jason Todd is an amazing Robin. My favorite Robin is definitely Tim Drake tho
I still have a vintage copy of Batman #428 with my other comics.
