You can also cook your ground beef into small patties which I prefer. Both al denta cooked cabbage and green beans freeze and reheat well for frozen meals. On a side note so does kale (also remember to cook it al denta) if you want just to make some season kale and rice meals/sides for the freezer. Note by under cooking the vegetables to leave them with a crunch, will keep them from being mushy when reheated.
yessss, please PLEASE do more meal prep videos in the future or even a series!!! it would be so helpful. I come back to your channel every time I cook something korean inspired!
So thrilled to see this. I made ground beef bulgogi a couple of weeks ago because I didn't have any other beef. I thought I was "cheating", now I feel validated! 😊
I absolutely love your food! Any type of Asian food but especially Korean, the mix of flavors is fantastic. My eldest child who is part Korean wants to be a chef, so he watches your videos and steals your cookbook from me to experiment. Thank you so much for making them fun and easy to follow.
Please make more videos like this. I have 5 in the family. We all eat adult size. This meal prep size is perfect for my family. I don't have to figure out the ingredient adjustments. We eat many of your recipes. We love them!❤❤❤
I made this tonight. It is soooo good. I also ordered the cook book the other night when I first watched this video. I’ve made a few of your recipes and enjoyed them so far. And your videos are fun to watch. well done!
I am starting to learn Aaron’s recipes and I LOVE them. I have several chronic illnesses and this meal prep is a lifesaver for me to help my poor hubby get proper meals every day and actually taste good 👍. In truth I am a disaster in the kitchen so I watch videos and get him the organic ingredients and then he does the cooking and viola he gets fed with minimal effort, yay❣️❣️👋🇨🇦
We use a salad spinner to dry our blanched cauliflower and broccoli etc then on a tray with a fan blowing over them. Use what we want bag and freeze/fridge the rest for later, mostly we add the florets to stir fried rice. Not done the Bulgogi mince before but we will and i like the idea of making larger batches and freezing more time up front but you save alot of time later as well as the cost of energy not to mention the washing up. Thank you for the recipes hope you have a wonderful christmas and a happy new year, Take care, God bless one and all.
I love your meal prep series! I tried the chicken with broccoli last week, and this week I’ve made this. I was a bit doubtful about using ground beef for a bulgogi recipe but I was of course WRONG. All of your recipes never fail…absolutely delicious!!!!
Eating out too much gets expensive. I always try to bring my lunches to work and this is perfect. Btw Aaron I made my first egg rolls the other day using one of your marinade recipes for the ground pork, some I did plain cabbage with pork and the others I made with kimchi and pork and they were so good.😊
I made this for my meal prep and it is sooooo delicious! I can eat it for months straight! If u are debating to make this , this is ur calling to make it!!!!
Thank you for this meal prep idea! I'm in my first year or university, and spend too much time in the kitchen cooking instead of studying, but as exam season is approaching, I need to spend most of my time studying, despite loving to cook 😂. It would be really helpful if you could share more meal prep ideas please Aaron, it would be so useful 🙏
Happy Holidays guys!!! I was going to make some meat sauce for pasta but my wife saw this and now I'm cooking bulgogi😊 thank you for the inspiration Aaron and for the reactions Claire! 🎉
My husband and I live in Korea. Since we both work part time it's really hard for us to cook healthy meals during the week. A lot of the meal prep recipes I've seen online use ingredients that aren't easy to find or affordable for us (no Emart, Homeplus, or Lotte Mart where we live T.T). But your recipe is exactly what we need, I'm excited to try it out!
I made this tonight and it was awesome! My whole house smells like a Korean BBQ joint. Love it! It doesn't have quite the punchy flavor I was expecting, though. I might try broiling some of it, or trying to get a bit of chr on it somehow to simulate the tableside grilling flavor a bit more. Or maybe higher heat... Not sure. Oh, and I'll definitely let it marinate more than 15 minutes. 😆
Watched the video. Needed to cook up some beef sitting in my fridge. Became too soupy so I ladled out most of the liquid so the meat could brown. Used the "gravy" on the rice and altogether with Costco jug of kimchi it turned out AMAZING. Merry Christmas 🇨🇦
I do up batches of your ground beef bulgogi for the freezer. It makes a quick meal with rice for lettuce wraps or a quick noodle dish with Udon after coming home from work.
I love them and his recipes are fire. Just ordered his cookbook can’t wait to receive this beautiful book. This ground beef bulgogi recipe was amazing! I made some cabbage since I didn’t have kimchi. Was delicious lunches for the week. Outstanding!!! Love from Connecticut USA🥰🌹
Hello from las vegas nv in the US. I love the channel and got your cookbook. The way you do things is relatable and easy. Everything is always good, if you follow the recipe. If not, well you know 😂 Claire is the best tester ever. Thanks for sharing your life and recipes with the world. I know my husband and I have learned and loved a lot of things we now keep on hand every week. Thank you
I have been making a similar ground beef bulgogi for a few years. So glad I can now make it proudly, like I'm not breaking any rules! Lol I like to grate an apple to saute with the beef to mimic the asian pear or kiwi. Gives a great sweetness. But if you don't have an apple, just use what ever you have. Don't worry about it! it will be fantastic!
I've made this before using your book. Very nice. I'm the only person in a family of five that love kimchi but I can't buy small quantities. I'll try the cucumber salad. Looks like in Korea you can buy single serve portions. I have not found anything similar here in Australia.
I just shared this video with a friend who meal preps to eat healthier. Thank you both you really make cooking look easy and delicious! Merry Christmas 🎄
So, no gochujang? I'm just starting to learn Korean recipes (so, naturally, will be using your channel). I am just trying to understand when to use various pastes, and korean spices - and why they are used (or not). I will be making this later this week.
Aaron and Claire, love your channel! Was curious the brand of your storage ware? They look like the perfect size for meals, most of what I find here in the US is too big or small. Thanks and keep up the great videos!!
Sounds like a perfect plan. If you need a list of ingredients or exact amount, check out the written recipe down below. Hope you enjoy it! 😊 aaronandclaire.com/ground-beef-bulgogi-meal-prep-recipe/
So many people are already hatching plans to save money, eat better and spend time more wisely in 2024. This video is perfect for all of those goals! Happy New Year, friends!
I love your channel! thank you for sharing with us! I am also in the process of gaining muscle and am always looking for recipes with a high caloric value and an appropriate amount of protein. I have been making your recipes for a long time and would appreciate it if you could occasionally add the nutritional values of your dishes, ofc if you can hehe🤩
I received the cookbook today! Very thorough explanation about all the necessary kitchen condiments and sauces. The food in the photos looks so tasty! The recipes are very easy to follow. Luuuuv the recipes with rettich (Daikon) and tofu. My Taiwanese mom was like oh these recipes could be Taiwanese 😂 We're going to make Korean Pickled Radish today 😊 Thank you for introducing Korean kitchen culture! Happy New Year! 🎉🎊
@AaronandClaire Hey Aaron, thank you for the recipe. I tried it and it's absolutely delicious. However, could you please tell me the fat content of the ground beef you're using? Because according to your recipe, you're using 200g beef per portion, with normal ground beef that's already around 510 cal, plus around 270 cal for half a cup of rice. So with the added sugar, mirin, and oil, I easily reach 1050 cal for an portion, not the 880 cal you mention in your recipe. Am I doing something wrong, or are korean cows just more lean than our european ones? :D
DO NOT SKIP the msg, it needs it, these flavors in the marinade are rich and work so nicely together but the msg really ties it all together and takes it over the top.
Hi Aaron, Are you sure the nutritional profile is correct? The majority of the protein source comes from the ground beef and 1 LB of ground beef extra lean 96/4 only has 84 grams of protein. That means there is roughly 170 grams of protein coming from the beef, but your entire dish (5 x 66) has 330 grams of protein. Where else is the protein coming from?

Hahaha! I thought it was just me doing that!
Me as well, lol. 👋🇨🇦
Amazing as always. Need a top for a good Rice cooker for a 3person household. Some adeise from the crowd? My thanks

Could you do this with cut up chicken thighs as well? using the same bulgogi sauce?
I love eating danmuji as a side as well as kimchi.
