2015 Tacoma 4x4 here with 77k miles and I just got this P0012 code. Cleared it but I have a feeling it's going to come right back like you. Hope I can do the same as you and get it fixed.

Great job. I've used my OBDII many times , serviced my own cars, order parts from different sources and have saved tons of money. Recently changed the pads in front brakes, tire rotation and oil and air filter change.👍👍 Uncle Pete

About to do this myself. I know the VVT sensors are side dependent, but are the camshaft position sensors identical or are they also different depending the side?
The camshaft position sensors are identical. and for the VVT they wernt a direct fit i had to ben it a lil and customer service was usless

Also, mine says bank 1 as well, do I need to do both sides? Or just bank 1 (passenger side)?
These parts are so expensive in Canada and I want to get OEM 🤦🏽♂️

So I just changed my camshaft position sensor this weekend (bank 1), bought the wrong side for the vvt solenoid so waiting for that to come in.
Now my p0012 went away and I’m met with p0016. Hoping the vvt solenoid will fix this but have saw someone saying on RUclips that sometimes you need to switch everything together for it to work, kind of like what you did
I’m too scared to look at the chain tensioner window😮
@@philthaung1879 I did the exact same thing. I bought the solenoid that said "Left" on autozone. I really hope when I buy the right one that I don’t also get met with p0016.

Driver side where the #2 cylinder is.
