This is a bird that can be very hard to live with! There is a reason, unfortunately, that cockatoos are one of the most common parrots found in parrot rescues.
If the dander doesn’t set off your allergies, and they’re loud calls are something you can work around, then this parrot might be the perfect bird for you! Give them tons of time and attention, and they will become your best friend. Laugh with you as you joke, sing with you as you sing, and cuddle with you all the time!
