@@hammer-r I love that you rescued, absolute hero. These two have a "brother" who's a Hahn's Macaw, they love him. Maybe you could rescue a different species. One who loves the company of other birds ❤️
@@AvianRetreats-o9e yea thought of that too. But we have limited space with 4 birds now (the rest are much smaller) so we have to be choosy . We travel with our birds too.
Is it true that they (especially if kept as a single bird) are more prone to plucking than other conure species? Do you have any insight on how they compare to the blue crown conures? Or green cheek conures?
Hi there, from my experience I haven’t had any plucking issues with my Goldens. Pretty sure it’s because we have 3 and they have a great diet, showers everyday and plenty of sunshine (which they need). I have had many Green Cheeks and a Blue Crown in the past and ALL are wonderful pets. Just like kids, they are all so unique it’s hard to compare. Hope that helps 💛
@@SmilinWithTheWorld Thank you! I really had my eye on the blue crowns, and I hope I can make it to meet them in person one day. I feel like birds are one of those things where it really is highly recommended to meet them in person first, before making a final decision. Unfortunately, they're not super common in my area so I'm probably going to have to travel halfway across the country to meet one! But it's totally worth it
@ true as a bird picks the caretaker and not the other way around. However, tough when you have to travel. I get it. If you’re adopting you should be able to get all your questions answered before you make a trip. In any case, great choice!
They have lovely faces and they have really cute voices.
They really do 🥰. Thank you for the comment, much appreciated🥰

EXCELLENT - Spot On. and I agree… worth every penny 💛💛💛
For what I've seen all conures are great pets
I’ve got one female as a rescue. I’d love another but yes they are expensive. They are wonderful pets…
