Hey brother, I am ready to buy a 70cc class saw. Thinking either 460 or 461. Having a hard time deciding because I have. I clue about saws to be honest with you. So I defer to the pros. Use: We have a 700acre homestead in Montana with a ton of blowdown and thinning to do. That and lots of firewood. Nothing huge, just pine and Doug fir. What would you recommend for me? You mentioned you like the 460 and the 440? I think you said? Thanks buddy
We also have a shop in Montana. Small world. I personally will generally pick the 440 over the 460. Some other folks could make a good argument the other way. That's just the way I am with them
@@bulletproofsaws would you choose the 440 over the 461 too? And may I ask why you prefer the 440? I really don’t know much so collecting info and opinions of people that know saws. Do you guys have anything good for sale now? Montana shop? Where? How much to make my saws sing?
It can, but generally I do not. Bearings are not something I have ever had an issue with. And as much as I do like the OEM seals, well CERTAIN OEM seals as there are a few variations I believe, swapping to the double lip seems a good choice. Last I looked the best deal for OEM seals was in the OEM gasket kit and could be a nice $50 upgrade. I'd like to find the kit for a bit better price....It's all a matter of how deep we want to go with OEM vs. AM parts.
Good comparison on these!
Thanks bud really appreciate it.
Got anything good for sale?

They're both really decent saws. It's just a matter of what you want to spend. I have a hard time with a lot of the overpriced used OEM stuff.

Just curious why you don’t wear eye or face protection on a RUclips Video?
I love my 461 its a beast strong saw
I go back and forth between 440 and 460... Two of my favorites... That 461 was really nice pulled really well.
