    I'm from Canada as well and have ordered from Paula's Choice website. I have tried their 2% BHA toner and Azelaic acid and really like it. Of course, it's more expensive because of the exchange, but find it's worth it.

    That was really helpful info. I actually took notes. Your channel showed up in my home page feed so I decided to check you out. I have a suggestion. Hope it's not too obnoxious. I'm trying to figure out what kind of content you typically offer and who you offer it to. I'm 52 so I typically follow the mature ladies. Just thought it might be helpful to have an intro video for us newcomers or just a blurb about what you're all about in each video. Anyway, I'm checking out your other content because now I'm intrigued. Lol.

    I've tried both TO azelaic acid and PC azelaic acid booster- sadly, I prefer PC's because TO has a silicone base, which my pores don't agree with. PC's azelaic acid booster has a small amount of bha as well (0.5%) so I feel like it's multi-tasking! :)

      You don't want to use Direct Acids (AHA or BHA) with Retinol/Retinoid or prescription Tretinoin as this pairing can be very harsh on the skin and could cause more irritation/dryness.

    2 weeks ago I ordered a travel size of this BHA toner and I think is great 👏 it does what people say: it simply clears the pores and gives an amazing glow after . I could not believe how good it was! And is not harsh at all on my skin , I mean I feel more tingling after the Lactic or Vit C than after the Paula’s BHA toner ☺️

    Thanks for this, great info here! Do you think it'lll be fine to use a very gentle PHA toner daily together with other actives, such as Vit C or Retinoids?

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  3 года назад +1

      You're welcome!!
      I personally wouldn't only because I would worry that the PHA toner can conflict with other actives like Vitamin C and Retinoids which can render the effects. I would also worry about further irritation and/or dryness but some people do use them together and see great results. It really depends on the individual and how your skin can tolerate to these types of actives.

    What acid would you recommend for dry, acne-prone skin? I've been using the cerave sa cleanser a couple days a week to target my whiteheads and sebaceous filaments, but it's a little too drying for me. I might get the ordinary lactic acid but idk if it will target my acne concerns like sa would

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  3 года назад +2

      Salicylic Acid is honestly the best for acne so you could always pick up the Ordinary Salicylic Acid Mask which should be used once or twice a week and then on the other days of the week you could just use a gentle hydrating cleanser and niacinamide.. Lactic Acid is great too.. It will help with your acne slightly. Azelaic acid is another option as well 🥰

      Hi,
      You can use the SA cleanser and then Retin-A afterwards as the cleanser isn't left on the skin for too long but for any reason you do experience more dryness or even irritation with this combo then I would use the Cerave hydrating cleanser instead on those Retin-A nights.
