Not sure if your aware, here is what the Ordinary has to say about when to use Niacinamide: If topical Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid and/or Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid) is used as part of skincare, it should be applied at alternate times with this formula (ideally Vitamin C in the PM and this formula in the AM). Otherwise, Niacinamide can affect integrity of the Vitamin C.
Yes I know the ordinary says that. There has been a lot of old research and studies that say niacinamide shouldn’t be combined with vitamin c but new research has shown that the new actually work well together. I sometimes use the two together if I need to apply the niacinamide but most of the time I use niacinamide at night.

No I didn't because the Ordinary doesn't have an eye cream (just an eye serum for puffiness) so when I am using a routine like this I use the face moisturizer and apply it to under my eyes.. I do have eye creams from other brands that I use but for this video I didn't want to show any other brand but the Ordinary.

Love this routine! Can you tell me how well the squalane cleanser works as a first cleanse, like an oil cleanser? Applying directly to the skin with no water, massaging in, and then adding water to emulsify, rinse off or wipe off with the washcloth? Thanks
Honestly, wetting your face before applying this cleanser works best in my opinion. You may need to add a little more water after massaging it into your skin to emulsify it more and I do find you need to be generous with this cleanser as well.. You can rinse it off which is what I do or you could use a washcloth.

Glycolic acid 5 percent can be use am and pm and use sunscreen,Vitamin c can be irratate if you expose with sunlight and less work to your skin when it expose to air,and witch hazel same as astringent, so whats the difference between witch hazel,vitamin c and glycolic acid?
Jen queen you've probably got the answers by now, but just in case - natural witch hazel (without alcohol) is just an astringent toner which can be used after cleansing - Vit C is an antioxidant which builds up collagen, brightens the skin and fades dark spots - Glycolic and lactic acid are AHA's/exfoliants. NB Depending on their pH Vit C and AHA's can be used together - ideally 30 minutes apart, but if you don't know their pH then rather use Vit C and AHA's on alternate days.

I would use your Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid together and then maybe use your Niacinamide at night. You can use Niacinamide with your Tretinoin if you need to.

In the last week I wake with slightly puffy eyes, never had this issue before.., Using HA, niacinimde, NMF ha, Ascorbic alpha Arbutin, spf, rosehip all split in am pm routine. Waiting for my buffet 😊Could it be from too much moisture from HA? Also any idea what else can help with texture apart from azelaic? Thankyou xx
Hey there... Ok, so I sometimes wake up with puffy eyes and when this happens there are a few things it could be... 1. Too much sodium intake the day before 2. using rich creams around the eyes before bed 3. using oils around the eyes before bed 4. certain serums can cause this if applied under the eyes... In your case with the products you are using, are you using the NMF around the eyes/eyelids? If so it's possible this could be the reason, maybe you are applying too much around the eye area which is causing you to have puffy eyes or it's the rose hip oil... I hope this helps?

You want to apply it to damp skin. You may need to add more water to emulsify it once the cleanser is on your skin.

Edit: witch hazel contains tannins which irritate and dry the skin. Better to use hydrating toners.
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid toning solution is not an actual toner, it's a chemical exfoliator.

It is but you probably won't need the Amino Acids + B5 as that is a hydrator so you might find it too much if you have oily skin..
Do you apply vitamin c when your face is damn or completely dry?
I apply it to damp skin but if you are more on the sensitive side apply it to dry skin.

I would suggest before because this Vitamin C in particular does have an oily texture so you want to use the water based serum first.

I saw someone using vitamin c then Hyaluronic Acid right after it, I thought that was a no no .
You can use these two together.. Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant which is a hydrating/moisturizing ingredient. It's not an exfoliating acid..
I just read you’re not supposed to use vitamin c in the same routine as niacinamide is that true?
Can you do with the ordinary for dry skin please morning & night!

I didn't even notice that when editing the video. When I was editing the clips to trim it down I must have edit out the nose parts? Lol not sure but I always put products on my nose..

The reason for all these acne and redness on your face sis, u simple putting on toooooooo many product, try to do it differently, I use to do this especially when putting strong products like retinol and vitamin c, they affect some people skin, u lovely do differently for your face contradicting what u teaching, don’t meant to be mean, thks a lot

What's the point making morning routine video in the evening and then saying I am not going to put SPF because it's too late. You are experienced and respected youtuber you should do better. I was really wondering about TO SPF product but it have just put me off on clicking on dedicated video.
Fair enough! It was a last minute decision to film this video and it just happened to be in the evening. I thought if someone wanted a detailed review on The Ordinary SPF and how it looks and applies to the skin that they could watch that video. Sorry that I put you off.
