I love this. Been using it for a few months now with great results. This is my 2nd product from the ordinary. Will definitely try a more concentrated acid after I finish mine. I totally agree with what you said. I think people doesn't give it enough time before they gave up on a product. Skin care is not magic, it's an investment and I'm just glad that we have a product that really works like the ordinary 😊
Oh my goodness, finally this product is getting the love it deserves 🤗 I've been using this for nearly a year now and it has worked wonders for my skin in terms of texture and moisture. I also think it helps with breakouts. There is no irritation and it's a fabulous alternative for those wanting to avoid harsher acids. BTW, I have oily, acne prone skin, so I think it works well for all skin types.
@@sedanzainal16 Don't be scared :) It's a very gentle acid that does light resurfacing and should help with your acne. If you want something in the way of a supplement, I've found that fish oils/omega 3 have helped my hormonal acne tremendously.
do u wait for 20min for it to sink in or do u just leave it for a few seconds and go on with ur routine? im seeing alot of mixed comments on tht so im confused😂
@@nakiafue I just normally wait about a minute or two before moving on with the rest of the routine 😉 it has a bit of an oily texture but sinks in pretty quickly.
I’m excited to try this, I bought it during the Deciem sale. I really love how you state that more gentle products are still effective but may take longer and that skincare is a journey❤️
Hi, thank you for your wonderful reviews. I've started using this product only last week and I'm very happy about it. I've started using The Ordinary products 3 years ago and I've never stopped since. They are the only products I use now, apart from a specific cream for the eye area. The results have been amazing. I've been very consistent and, although I'm 72 and I don't have luckily too many lines for my age, and I have a combo skin, I started having some loss of elasticity and plumpiness on my cheeks and chin area. I use Mandelic acid at night once a day or every two days, followed by hyaluronic acid, Matryxil and Marula oil. But I didn't realize that Matryxil - being a peptide - could cancel its effect! So I'll take care of that. As a morning routine I use vitamin C powder mixed either with EUK or hyaluronic acid, followed by the amazing Buffet and Matryxil and my skin is glowing, plumper and more youthful. I also recommended The Ordinary to many of my friends who didn't know it and helped them to find the right products, because not many of them can understand English. Before Mandelic acid I have been using the glycolic acid solution as a skin tonic, which didn't cause ma any problem, (I have a very good, strong skin) but I must say I find that this acid, although gentler, is much more effective!
Thank you for sharing your tips and what you use... I do want to mention that the Ordinary doesn't recommend using Vitamin C (pure forms like L-Ascorbic Acid or Ethylated Ascorbic Acid) buffet + copper peptides or any acidic treatment with the EUK as it will conflict and cancel it out completely.. If you are seeing amazing results then that's great I thought I would just mention that to you☺️
@@SincerelyMissAsh Thanks to you! And thank you for your further tip, that was great! The Ordinary is such a rich source of ingredients and knowledge that it really helps us all to know our skin and needs better. I subscribed to your channel because it's a wonderful source of information. I wanted to add some advice (given my age, I think I can do so) for young people. I started taking care of my skin since I was 18. I began using some good moisturizer around my eyes area and on my face. Apart from some very rare exceptions, I've never skipped a day cleansing at night and nourishing my skin, especially the area around my eyes. Although I'm not obsessed, I love feeling and looking good, exploring and learning new things, so, along the years, I added new techniques and ingredients. Now that I'm 72 (OMG, an old lady!) I can see the results. If I compare myself to other women of my age, I can say that my skin looks way much better and younger. Of course, I have been blessed with good skin and good genes (when my grandmother was 90 she still had a wonderful skin and so does my mother) but I think it's right to help nature and love ourselves even in these small things. I don't mind lines or signs of ageing, because ageing is a natural process, a journey of constant discoveries, and our face is a map of our lives. So, each sign and line is precious, neither would I have - I speak of course only as far as I am concerned - any procedures or injection BUT that doesn't mean we must not preserve as much as we can our health and beauty, yet accepting change.

Thank you for sharing this!! I have dry, sensitive skin and rosacea and want a chemical exfoliant but had no idea which one(s) were appropriate for me. I’m also using a little tretinoin in my Curology cream but I only use it a few days a week. I think it’s .007 but it’s still enough to cause more redness and irritation than usual.
Thank you for this video. Now I know Mandelic acid is not for me. Please what would you recommend for normal/oily, non sensitive skin that works on Melasma and anti-aging (no acne) at the same time? Once again, thanks.
I use the Colleen Rothschild Mandelic Acid at night along with her recovery cream and face oil #9, I haven’t seen this acid here in Australia 🇦🇺 at our drugstore that sells The Ordinary products, it would be a lot cheaper if they did compared to what I pay for the Colleen Rothschild one plus the shipping costs on top of the products. I use the ordinary products, pretty much tried every product to find out which one is best- so the best products are- niacinamide 10%, alpha arbutin 2%, azelaic acid, Mandelic acid (started only 2 weeks ago), Vit C Ascorbic Glucoside 12%, Vit C l-Ascorbic powder with ferulic acid (once in a week), retinol Granactive 2% or 5%, lactic acid 5% and salicylic masque! These are my best products, by saying that I liked glycolic acid but it’s not too good for skin of color, unless you purchase low percentage. Not a fan of moistures, cleanser!
I am starting now to use acids and as my skin is normal/combined, I wanted to start with the lactic acid. Unfortunately I cannot find in my country the lactic acid 5 of this brand, only the 10 percent and I was afraid that that would be too much for a beginner. So I am thinking to start with the mandelic acid
I bought this n was scared to try acid on my dry face no moisturizers seem to do the trick expect petroleum jelly on wet skin after a shower at night but it can clog pores so not a fan of doing that although its the only thing that leaves my skin plump softs and not flaky
Have you ever tried the Cocokind Matcha Moisturizer? I also have really dry skin and it’s gets flakey and irritated with a lot of products but the moisturizer worked wonders! It goes on pretty thick but it leaves my face really hydrated and soft
Yes I do! I apply other serums after the mandelic acid but if you don't you can apply a moisturizer right after even when your skin is still damp/tacky from the acid.
Unrelated but can I ask is there a difference between high-frequency wand and the derma wand ? And thank you for your videos!!!!!! The ordinary saved my skin !!!!
The Ordinary recommends not to use direct acids (Mandelic) with other direct acids, pure forms of vitamin c, retinol/retinoids, peptides (copper too) and EUK 134 0.1% as these can be harsh pairings. You could use it with Pycnogenol though but at the end of the day you know your skin best and how sensitive it can be
