  • 🌟 *Celebrating Shervin's Incredible Progress One Year After BEAR Surgery!* 🌟
We are thrilled to share Shervin's amazing journey one year after undergoing BEAR (Bridge Enhanced ACL Restoration) 🐻 surgery. Thanks to his relentless dedication and hard work with our Rehabilitation Department team at Victory, including our Director of Rehabilitation, Dr. Zachary Kaplan, Shervin has made remarkable strides in his recovery.
Shervin has not only regained his strength but has surpassed expectations by increasing his back squat eight-rep max from 275 pounds to an impressive 365-375 pounds! 💪🏋️‍♂️
Obviously, not every patient is going to increase their squat by 100 pounds no matter what surgery or treatment that we offer or perform.
However, Shervin’s incredible progress is a testament to Shervin's hard work and determination. It's important to remember that while surgeries and therapies play a crucial role, it is, most importantly, the patient's effort and commitment that truly drive success. Studies have shown that patients who undergo BEAR surgery often feel their knee is more "normal" and have greater confidence in their knee, a sentiment Shervin echoes in his experience.
The BEAR procedure allows patients to "keep their own parts," which we hope will reduce the risk of post-traumatic or post-surgical arthritis in the long run (pending further studies).
👏 Let's give a big shoutout to Shervin for his dedication and hard work!
